Two LMPs, one epic race. Though which one will win the circuit depends of choosing either race cars of 1990s; only one winner remains.
Also, cool art commission by having this alien experiment; being an agent and member of the “Sun Heroes” team. Not bad of checking her updated version while doing in battle. 👍

Catch My Drift 🏁 chapter 1
Street racer!bakugo x Street racer!reader
Tumblr media
𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐒: cursing, douche bakugo, slight misogyny, alcohol consumption, drug use, illegal activities etc
Kanjozoku; The term Kanjozoku is derived from the combination of the words “kanjo” (meaning ring) and “zoku” (meaning group).
Kanjozoku primarily consists of young car enthusiasts in cities like Osaka and Tokyo who have a passion for speed and a desire to showcase their driving skills.
Osaka was the place to be. Not where tourists go to take pictures and try japanese cuisine, maybe pick up a few souvenirs from the large amount of little gift shops that littered the streets but where a community of young adults with the passion for racing congregate. The night was still young, the sounds of tires screeching against the cold pavement and engines roaring was heard over the heavy base of 2000s club music. Girls dressed in scandalous outfits mingling with the guys posted up next to their pimped out rides. You could practically feel the vibrations of the noise in your head.
Three cars lined up with the drivers sitting on the hoods of their prized possession. A bright orange 1993 Mazda RX-7 FD on the far left. The car’s color was comparable to an orange or maybe even the warm sunsets that would settle over japan. The next car over was a 1993 Toyota Supra Turbo Mark IV. The bright colorful lights that surrounded the meet reflected beautifully off the cars mustard yellow chrome. The third and final car was a looker. Silver 1999 Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 with royal blue detailing along the sides and on the hood. A royal blue flexivity rear wing with matching led lights underneath the body.
It was Bakugo’s baby. Spent years modifying and perfecting it. He was a skilled driver sure but having a car like his? Most would be intimidated to challenge him. “Yo Mina, let’s get this race going!” the orange mazda driver shouted. it was hard to find anyone in this crowd but said woman emerged from the sidelines with a confused look on her face. “Woah woah, wait a second.” She looked around the lot, once overing the lined up vehicles. “where’s your fourth at? i’m counting only three.” mina crossed her arms, unimpressed. the yellow toyota driver spoke up first “it was supposed to be joaquin but he caught the grave yard shift man.”
once you were scheduled to race it was a hassle to find new drivers, the time and place was set in stone. it wasnt that often when scheduled racers were a no show but then again many get caught racing outside of meets or their car needed more time to be repaired. It was a waste of mina’s time. she was the flag girl, not their fucking coordinator. “Na, y’all either find a fourth or you don’t race. How’s that sound? Times ticking boys.”
By standers erupted in shouts of anger and disappointment. they wanted to see a race, most of them drove well over an hour to be here! gas wasn’t cheap and neither was Minas time. Hearing the crowds complaining mina sighed and pitched them an idea. “Alright! i hear you guys, relax. How about this, why don’t i find y’all a driver and we settle this now?” bakugo smirked, nodding in agreement. he never said much but he also never needed to. his aura spoke volumes. “bring ‘em on.” he wasn’t nervous, he knew his talents and was confident. resting the palms of his hands on the hood of his car, he tilted his head towards the other racers, waiting to see hear their answers. “Anyone i want?” mina questioned with a grin that would give the cheshire cat a run for his money. “anybody baby!” orange jululis shouted, raising his arms to the side. cocky bastard. mina rolled her eyes and turned away from the drivers, pulling out her phone from her bra. there was a whole list of people she could call but there was only one person she knew who could end this race quickly.
she could hear the static from the other end of the phone. “y/n, you wanna race tonight?” it was quite for a moment before you spoke in to the speaker “i’m always down, send me your lo.” your voice was smooth like silk but sultry like a vixen. it sounded like you’ve been up for a while so mina didn’t feel bad for calling you so late. she knew you came alive in the night anyway. your energetic friend squealed before gathering herself together. “you got 5 minutes hun!” and then the line went dead.
it never took much convincing to get you out. when mina called you it was 12:15 am, meaning you only had exactly 5 minutes to get there. the meet lot was about 20 minutes out. you arrived there in 4, only a minute left to spare. the sound of you engine had heads turning (a certain blonde as well) as you slowly pulled through the crowd, careful not to hit party-goers. the hot pink body of your 2000 Honda S2000 was hard to miss. everyone knew who was inside and that fact alone made them scream louder. you never really cared too much though, it wasn’t like you had vocals like mariah carey. you didn’t have the ability to move like michael jackson. you were just a damn good racer and that was enough for them apparently.
all three racers turned their heads in the direction of the obnoxiously loud honda, tensing up at the sight. well, all except for one of course. bakugo had no idea why everyone was so fucking hyped. who was that? and why’s everyone acting like they’ve never seen a pink car?? “Racers!” mina yelled excitedly “here’s your fourth!”. your black stiletto boots were the first thing he saw exit the car. then it was a black leather hat. he glanced over at the others to study their reactions and they all had excitement swirling in their eyes. maybe even a hint of nervousness? bakugo didn’t have time to be sure because before he knew it, you were leaning back against the hood of your car crossing one leg over the other. “oh shit, it’s y/n.” you weren’t new to this, you were true to this. the air was crisp and cold, you probably should’ve brought a jacket because this top (if it could even be considered one) with this miniskirt wasn’t doing you no type of favors.
from the corner of your eye you could see a blonde headed man with spikey hair almost looking annoyed as he walked over to mina who was standing in the middle of the road. “no offense but i’m not racing a damn girl. you never said it would be a girl.” you rolled your eyes, who the hell does he think he is? a race is a race. why did it matter who was behind the wheel? you best friend looks beyond over this shit, she’s been annoyed her this whole night and she’s about to lose her patience. “you said anyone i wanted, i wanted her! stand next to your car before nobody races.”
“you scared spikes?” he turned his head to the side, watching you push yourself off the car and strut to the middle where he and mina stood. he sized you up, shamelessly checking you out. “what the hell did you jus call me?” he wasn’t scared. why would bakugo be scared of some princess nobody? “can you even drive with those heels on?” your outfit was impractical he thought. a miniskirt that just barely covered the expanse of your ass (not that he really minded) and what looks like a triangle bikini top. if you were to bend over then— no. now’s not the time to thirst over you. even if he did think you were hot.
“i’m just askin.. why wouldn’t you wanna race me if you weren’t scared?” you’ve dealt with his type before, cocky, thinks they’re better than everyone and so on. he’s got sharp red eyes with a piercing gaze. you let your eyes trail away from his face down to the hardened muscles on his chest. clearly well built and his black tshirt was doing nothing to hide it. “man whatever,” your eyes moved back to his hearing the sound of his voice. “i’m not doin this, find somebody else.” he wasn’t scared, he just felt that he could be using this time to race against someone on his level. why’s it that the egotistical men somehow always find you? you would’ve just let him go but you hated the feeling of being looked down on. he’s no better than you, he doesn’t even know what you have to offer. do you did what you do best, you uped the ante.
“15 grand.” you raised your voice a bit. silence fell over the crowd. “i’ll give you 15 grand if you agree to race tonight and win, that applies to the other racers too” you say to the other two drivers still next to their cars. that made him stop dead in his tracks. were you insane? you’re acting like that’s pocket money. fuck, he doesn’t know if he should do it. he didn’t need the money, but his sister did. he tries to help his mother out the best he can, this would cover at least two months worth of bills. gritting his teeth he turns around starting directly at you “don’t start to regret this when you lose ma.” got ‘em, you thought with shit eating smirk.
you walked past him, shoulder checking the man who’s name you still don’t know. he looked at you, staring at your ass as your skirt rode up with every step you took. you must’ve felt bakugo’s stare because your hands grab them hem of the denim and pull it down, throwing him a flirty smile over your shoulder. the tips of his ears turn a shade of pink. he quickly looks to the side, licking his lips attempting to play it off as if the whole meet did see the interaction. all the racers start getting into there respective cars, starting them up. mina struts to the middle of the street once again only this time with a checkered flag. her brown skin was glowing, the lights reflecting off the body glitter she wore.
“Racers!”
mina exudes confidence. you hand your left hand on the wheel, the other hand tightly gripping on to the gear shift. foot tapping on the gas a bit. you were high off adrenaline, you lived for moments like these.
“Start your engines..”
bakugo couldn’t help but stare at you. the look in your eyes. ‘s like you got off on this, the wicked smile on your lips doing nothing to make him think otherwise. he wasn’t fazed though, he had this in the bag. maybe even after he wins he could take you out but that was something he’d ask later, he needs to focus. the flag drops.
“GO!”.
and you were gone.
𝐀/𝐍!!: okay why was this way harder than i thought? 😭 please bare with me ik im not that advanced in writing. i also don’t know a lot about cars but i research by chapter. lmk how u like it so far and i promise to produce better work as time goes on!

Figuring Out Elita's Squadron in TFP Style
Tired of my girls being Iced, so here's my two cents at Elita and her Squad in the Aligned timeline. (Cleaned up Moonracer's design too)
AltModes:
Elita 1: Heavy Duty Monster Truck
Chromia: SUV (a model like Toyota Highlander 2005)
Moonracer: Sports Car (GT 2004 Mustang)
Firestar: Truck (Checy 2004 4x4 Dulli Truck)
Lancer: Cybertronian Jet (has not selected a Earth Alt Mode)
Greenlight: Cybertronian Speedster, heavily Modded (no Earth Alt)
Random Facts:
Elita 1's forces had been in charge of the remaining war front on Cybertron. When the planet died, she then changed her focus to securing Energon for her troops by any means necessary.
she and Optimus have had very little contact despite their roles in the war due to... personal complications (aggressively sideeye's the matrix)
Chromia has somehow managed to acquire a lot of of high grade energon she breaks out on occasion. Though to be perfectly honest, she's collects them more for the bottles than anything.
Ultra Magnus "stole"/requested Moonracer for her sniping skills. He had also hoped she would be a "good influence" to her fellow Wreckers, which she was, in fact, not. (Partake the contents of Moonracer's Party Box at your own Risk)
Firestar has a cassette/minicon/recordabot(?) named Flaregun who helps her scout for any sorry souls left to die or looking for aid. Flaregun (who has not taken a vow of silence) has an extensive collection of corny jokes from her caretaker and her conjuxes.
Lancer, despite being one of the Autobot's few aerialists, is typically cooped up in their headquarters tracking down/securing the next energon heist location (nearby Decpeticon Warships are not excluded) or working on her research
Greenlight, though not usually an active combatant, has incredible aim with the box of hand grenades she got as a graduation present form a former colleague all those cycles ago. She is currently researching how to increase the fuel efficiency of a cybertronian, both in their weapons systems as well as their general systems
Oh yeah. And everyone pictured is widely believed to be dead.

Toyopet Crown Convertible Prototype, 1963. The S40 Crown was shown at the 10th Tokyo Motor Show as a 2-door convertible but it was never put into production. It did turn up in the 1965 film Kaijû Daisenso (Godzilla vs. Monster Zero). Toyota clearly made more than one prototype, they may have made more cars specifically for the movie, as they did with the 2000 GT Convertible for the James Bond film You Only Live Twice.

I’m Detective Archibald Shitpope. There’s only one thing I care about more than solving crimes: inexpensive Toyota hatchbacks.
The big boss upstairs has been tired of my incessant browsing of Craigslist at work for a long time. I get results, though, and no one else in the precinct comes close.
So when a murder case came across my desk, I did what I always do. Press F5 and see if anything under $2500 has been posted.
It took a long time to load. The precinct has shitty copper T3 back haul, and it’s always being wasted on stuff like crime scene streaming and live tracking of serial killers. That’s when I took a look at the case. And it shocked me. The murder occurred at the docks. The docks? That’s where JDM cars come from.
In dick school, they tell you that every murder has means, motive, and opportunity. There’s something else, at least for me. Toyotas. I carry a vintage トヨタ shift knob in my pocket, a sort of good luck charm. And, in contravention of department policy, my investigating car is a hammered-to-shit 2002 Celica GT (non-S) with bad ball joints, enough mileage that the digital odometer flickers in disbelief when I turn it on, and a case of sassy diff syndrome.
When I got to the scene, it was what I’d been dealing with for most of my career. A murder. I didn’t need the uniformed dipshits with their unreliable, smoggy domestic V8 squad cars to tell me that.
“It’s a classic locked room murder, boss,” said my assistant Soichiro when I finally arrived. He was born in Yonkers and legally changed his name after his hero, Soichiro Yamada, the guy who invented the cooled EGR system. “The keys are still in the vic’s pockets, so it's a mystery how someone got in there and killed him.” He walked me to a Toyota Corolla II “Windy.”
At once I knew the secret. “Soichiro, you fucked up again,” I spat with some measure of fatherly disappointment. This turbocharged, nearly-top-trim 1987 Corolla II sported the rare and desirable Panasonic parcel shelf speakers. That meant it also held the remote unlock feature, hugely uncommon for the Showa era, so much so that it would never be documented outside of the sales brochure, and certainly not in the inefficient and barbaric English literature for same.
“Turn ‘em out, Soichiro,” I ordered, pointing at his pockets, and he knew he had no choice but to comply. On the table before us lay the evidence of his treachery. One Carrozzeria branded remote lock/unlock remote, and - worse - the keys to a 1988 CR-X. He’d been on the take this whole time.
Later, the aforementioned uniformed dipshits would find something even worse on a search of a storage unit registered to my "partner," Soichiro. Four single-slammer D16 ZC engines, all matching serial numbers to the cars that went missing after the big tea house shootout in Chinatown. I’d been off that week, trying to find a replacement lift actuator, and Soichiro had filled in.
I don’t carry a sidearm. I don’t need to. I simply waited until Soichiro took flight, fleeing across the parking lot of the warehouse, and hit him with my car. Bent the upper radiator support, which the department bodyshop took care of since it was "in the line of duty." Fixed the headlight tabs, too. That probably cost Uncle Taxpayer a few cents.
I got a lot of heat for it later, from the chief, but the mayor overruled him, gave me a medal for valour. She was alright. Had a late model Tercel back home, I knew. Coupe, though, had a trunk. Politics is about compromise.

Along For The Ride (Nakamura Kazuha)
Author: Just a oneshot story from one of my Wattpad books. Also if you want to see more of my works check out my Masterlist.
Tumblr media
Y/N's POV
Washing my brand-new 2022 Ford GT that I've recently picked up a couple of weeks ago, and I've already fallen in love with it as it was my dream car since childhood.
Even though I live in Japan and some car fanatics find it odd that I bought an American sports car instead of Japanese models like Nissan or Toyota.
But it's whatever, I've made some modifications to the exhaust pipes and added a spoiler making it look more badass.
While power washing the windshield I heard my phone ringing, quickly finishing up cleaning the windshield, I set aside the gun and looked at the screen to see my good friend Mina calling me.
"Yes, Minari?" I greeted as I continue washing my car.
"Hey, Y/N/N, you coming to the car show tonight?" She asked.
"Yeah, why?" I asked.
"Well, thought I might want to tell you this, the famous rookie Idol and member of Le Sserafim is coming to the show!" She informed me and I raised an eyebrow.
"Who are you referring to?" I asked.
"Nakamura Kazuha," She answered and my eyes widened.
"W-What?!" I exclaimed and I heard her giggle over the phone.
"That's right~! Momo and Sana are coming along as well and since we're all Idols, could give you a chance to talk to her!" She replied and I sighed.
"U sure that's fine, Minari?" I asked.
"Of course, it's fine, you're our friend!" She assured.
"H-Haha, alright then, see you at the car show, Minari!" I said my goodbyes.
"Yeah, see ya there~!" She replied before hanging up.
Jeez, who knew my ult bias in Kpop would be there at a car show tonight...? That means that I have to make sure my GT is presentable at her best so I won't make myself look like a fool.
Anyway, I finish power washing my car, drying it using a microfiber cloth to remove any fingerprints and some water stains left from the hose.
After doing a final check on the bodywork, everything looked to be ready to go for the show, and I couldn't wait to see the look on Sana's face as she is not aware that I bought a Ford GT.
When it was around five in the afternoon, I take the car keys, open the door, hop inside the driver's seat, insert the keys into the ignition switch, and hear the magnificent sound of the engine starting.
Hearing the loud roar coming from the exhaust and engine running was like music to my ears even though it does piss off my neighbors but that's not important right now.
Taking off the parking brake, I roll down to the street and drive out of the neighborhood to the main road.
The drive was about fifteen minutes until I arrived at the big ass parking lot in the mall and seeing all the Nissan GTRs and Toyota Supras and all sorts of cars was a sight to see.
When I rolled in with my Ford GT, the photographers began taking pictures of my car from all angles and everyone was checking it out but I didn't mind.
Pulling in front of the girl's cars, they were all astonished except for Mina since she was there the day I picked it up.
"Oppa, is this your car?" Momo asked and I got out of the car.
"Yep," I answered and I locked the doors using the keys.
"Do you know how much that model cost nowadays?!" Sana asked and I nodded.
"What can I say? Running that online business really paid off," I answered.
"Wah, so trading stocks really does work..." Sana replied.
"If you have the right cards that is," I mentioned.
Discussing my work in the trade market, everyone else was preparing their cars for presentation, I heard a loud roaring of an engine and I turn around to see a Red 2017 Acura NSX pulling up into the parking lot.
Once the Acura NSX was parked, the doors opened revealing a man in formal attire and Nakamura Kazuha herself.
"Uhm, Minari, who is that guy?" I curiously asked.
"You've never heard of him? That is Jay Nam he's Kazuha's rich boyfriend, he runs a trading business like you do but he's a bit arrogant since he makes ten times the amount of money our band makes in a year." She explained.
"Jay Nam, huh? Damn, that is surely a nice ride," I replied.
"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you all for taking the time to come here and showing off your babies to everyone!" Jay thanked everyone.
With their arms locked to each other, I can't help but envy him as he's literally dating my dream girl and my ult bias.
"Now to start off, I can't help but admire all of your masterpieces that you've all brought here tonight! As you all may know, I am your host and founder of this event... Jay Nam!" He introduced himself and everyone cheered.
"But tonight! This isn't just going to be any other car show the likes you've ever seen, I will also be hosting races and a competition to see who's the best of the best!" He announced making everyone excited.
Damn, this Jay Nam guy really knows what gets us car fanatics siked and happy, maybe he isn't so bad after all...
"Wait a second...? A Ford GT? Now that is a first, although it is a nice-looking sports car but what's an American sports car doing all the way out here?" He asked.
Okay, I take back everything I just said about him... He really is arrogant like Minari warned...
"Ahem, getting to the point, who is excited about some races?!" Kazuha barged in and everyone cheered once more.
Seeing Jay glaring at her, Kazuha ignored him, and they stepped off the stage but I could actually hear them argue about something.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?! Do you have any idea this could hurt your image?!" Kazuha angrily asked.
"I should be asking you the same! How about you let me handle this and stay out of my way!" He angrily replied.
"Do they always argue like this?" I curiously asked and she nodded.
"Yep," She simply answered.
When they were finished arguing, Kazuha walked away from Jay making him deeply sigh and he slowly approached me.
"Are you the owner of this American trash?" He mockingly asked and I crossed my arms.
"Yes, why?" I asked in a monotone voice.
"Haha. Out of all the sports cars in the industry, you seriously went with a Ford GT?" He asked and I grinned.
"Don't be so smug, Jay, remember the Ford GT is the car that beat Ferrari in Le Mans," I mentioned and he chuckled.
"Oh, you poor thing, my Acura NSX can go a lot faster than any Ferrari not to mention Ford," He replied.
"You wanna bet on that?" I asked and he raised an eyebrow.
"I'm listening..." He said.
"How about this? If I beat you in a race, you have to get on your knees and admit that Ford is better than Acura in front of the whole crowd," I proposed and he chuckled.
"You've got some spirit, kid, I'll give you that... But if I win, you'll have to be my butler and I'll get to fuck my girlfriend along with your other girlfriends in front of you!" He explained and I grinned.
"It's a deal then," I agreed making everyone go woah.
Walking away from Jay without saying a word, I felt my arm being tugged and I turned around to see Kazuha with a worried look.
"Oh... Uhm, h-hey Kazuha," I nervously greeted.
"You're a fool, you know that?" She asked and I was lost for words.
"W-What?" I asked and she sighed.
"You really shouldn't have taken that deal with Jay, he's never once lost a race, and believe me there are others that tried and they lost. I've seen what happened to them and trust me... You don't want to be one of them." She warned and I nodded.
"Maybe so, but I'm not going to let an arrogant shithead like him beat me in a race, I've made my word Kazuha, and I'm certainly not going to back down now," I replied and she nodded.
"Fine, have it your way then," She said before walking away.
When the race track was all set, Jay and I pulled up behind the starting line, the grid girl stood between our cars and explained the rules and the entire track we must follow.
Holding the green flag high in the air, we started our engines, and the second she signals the start of the race, we sped off into the distance.
At first, Jay went in front of me, I shifted to the next gear increasing the power to the engine and I started to catch up.
When our cars met side by side, he glared at me for a second and put the pedal to the metal but I wasn't going to let him get away.
Shifting to the next gear, again increasing the power and speed, we drifted around the turns and I did them flawlessly as Jay did the same.
We were halfway toward the finish line and the race began to grow more intense as we kept increasing speed but I had to be careful to reduce RPM as I drift otherwise I'll spin out and crash.
But I can see Jay was starting to get a bit cocky with his drifting skills as he spun out at a turn because he was going too fast. Didn't Kazuha say he's one of the best drivers in the country?
Anyway, when we are approaching the finish line, we put in full power to the engines and shift the gears to the max.
Right when we crossed the finish line, it was pretty much at the same time causing everyone to gasp and we hit the brakes putting our cars at a halt.
We both get out of our vehicles with Jay giving me a deadly look claiming that he crossed the line first but I argued that I crossed it first and we argued for God knows how long until Kazuha and the others broke us up.
Waiting at the parking lot as the racing officials and the camera crew playback the footage determining who won the race and it's been nearly half an hour and felt like an eternity with the anxiety and pressure.
"We have a winner!" One of the crew announced.
"With just barely an inch to spare... The victor of this race goes to... Jang Y/N!" The crewmember announced and everyone clapped and cheered.
Left speechless that I'd actually defeated Jay Bitch in a race, he was left in utter humiliation and embarrassment, and based on the look on his face, he wasn't going to give up easily.
"This is bullshit! I want to watch that footage for myself!" Jay demanded.
"Sorry, Jay, but we've fully reviewed everything in the footage and we determined that Jang Y/N has won fair and square and you are just being a sore loser," He replied and he grabbed him by the collar.
"Nobody calls me a sore loser! Nobody!" Jay angrily said.
It didn't take long until the parking lot security stepped into the situation and forced Jay to let go of him but he somehow managed to push them all away.
Everyone backed away in fear, Jay goes into his car, takes out a metal baseball bat before going to my Ford GT and swinging the bat onto the windshield until it shattered into pieces.
Immediately, I stopped that maniac from causing more damage to my car by grabbing the bat and kicking him in the stomach.
Raising my fist, I punched him in the face as hard as I could causing him to lose his grip on the bat, and I got a hold of it before finishing him off by swinging at his head knocking him out cold.
"Go smoke a dick, Jay Bitch..." I said before spitting on his face and tossing the bat on the ground and Kazuha walked up to him.
"Consider me your ex-girlfriend, you were a great man, Jay, but now look at you..." Kazuha mentioned before sighing.
"How long have you two been dating?" I curiously asked.
"About a couple of years, he was once kind and caring toward others which is the reason why I fell for him that was until he started his online marketing business. He became greedy, selfish, and arrogant. I've been thinking about leaving him for a while now and I'm a fool for not doing so sooner." She explained.
After that whole fiasco was over, the tow truck came to tow my car to take it to the body shop to replace the broken windshield and I knew it wasn't gonna be cheap.
Leaving me with no ride to get back to my house, Mina drove me back to my house, she couldn't help but feel sorry but I assured her that it was fine since beating up Jay was a good enough compensation.
The next day, when it was morning, I finished showering, I was eating breakfast at my dining table until I heard the doorbell ringing.
Getting up from my chair, I walked up to the front door, looked through the peephole, and I was shocked to see Kazuha standing on my porch so I opened the door.
"How did you find me?" I asked and she smiled.
"I simply asked Mina-Unnie for your address just to deliver this," She answered before handing over an envelope and a signed album.
"What's all of this for?" I asked.
"For the damages to your car, should be more than enough to cover the bill and you can keep the rest and the album as an apology gift." She answered.
"A-Are you sure?" I nervously asked and she nodded.
"Yes, of course! Also, I never thought you had it in you... You're the first guy to ever publicly humiliate Jay. From what I heard, all of his buyers are calling off their contracts so it's only a matter of time before goes into bankruptcy." She explained.
"Looks like I've made history, the Ford GT not only beats Ferrari but also Acura, something to add to the books," I jokingly replied and she giggled.
"It would seem so, it was nice talking to you but I gotta go now, my manager is waiting for me in the car," She said and I nodded.
"Well, it was sweet meeting my ultimate bias, and thank you for the money," I thanked her and she smiled before waving goodbye.
Walking away to the SUV parked in front of my driveway, she gets inside the passenger seat and the SUV drives out of the neighborhood.
Going back inside my house, I take a looked at the signed album of all the members of Le Sserafim which made me smile as it was quite thoughtful of her.
Opening the envelope using the letter cutter, as expected, there was over five grand which made me choke as this was a fuck ton of money to give to some random fan like myself.
But there wasn't just money inside the envelope, there was a handwritten letter that obviously, Kazuha wrote herself, and I read it.
Hey Y/N,
I wrote this letter to formally apologize for my ex-boyfriend's actions of vandalizing your car over losing the race between the two of you last night. Inside this envelope should be at least five thousand US dollars and that should be more than enough to cover the replacement of your front windshield.
Oh, and one more thing... If you ever want someone to talk to... Call me (Insert Phone Number)
Sincerely, Nakamura Kazuha ;)
After finished reading her letter, I can't help but blush as Kazuha gave me her phone number, and I can already guess that Mina and her friends are going to relentlessly tease me.
But I know this for certain... This could lead to something more interesting...

1968 Mazda Cosmo Sport Series 2 Coupé
The Cosmo was a limited-edition masterpiece, meticulously crafted at a rate of one car per day. By the time production concluded in 1972, only 343 units of the Cosmo Sport Series 1 had rolled off the assembly line, in contrast to the 1,176 units of the subsequent Series 2 model. In the realm of collectible Japanese automobiles, the Mazda Cosmo stands among the elite, alongside its high-performance counterparts from Toyota and Nissan: the 2000 GT and the Skyline GT-R.

Le Mans vs. Daytona, Two Sides of the Endurance Racing Coin.
A bit of a belated blog on the 2024 24 Hours of Le Mans, how it compares to the other major 24-hour race - the Rolex 24 at Daytona - and how IMSA and WEC differ.
First things first, sports car racing in general is at a peak right now.
The largest prototype fields in decades, interclass competition of sorts with LMDh/GTP cars on one end and Hypercars on the other, and equally diverse GT3 fields to go with it. It's not a competition between IMSA and WEC as far as I'm concerned, both series collaborated on these regulations and that has benefitted endurance racing as a whole.
That being said, I've noticed some differences between the two, and I've had some discussions with friends about it lately.
The crux is this: the Rolex 24 at Daytona is the curtain raiser for the racing season, where drivers from every discipline from Formula One to NASCAR to half the Indycar field, plus all the regular cast of characters from endurance racing come to play. It's all within the confines of a 2.5-mile oval with big grandstands and clear sightlines, and the lights are all over the track, meaning you can see all the action pretty well. It's also in Daytona Beach a few weeks ahead of the Daytona 500.
Daytona is a party, a celebration of motorsport to kick off the next season of racing.
Le Mans, meanwhile, is a beacon of history. The start-finish line is where it has always been, the Dunlop Bridge has outlasted Dunlop itself making racing tyres, and it's an old school reminder to when those types of circular bridges were all over racing. Then onto the Mulsanne, the long, dark highway, with bits of civilization interspersed with woods, a theme with continues in the back half of the track. Some corners are named after historic tracks, like Indianapolis, others are named after the marques which defined era of Le Mans history - Corvette, Porsche, and Ford in particular.
Corvette, which has dominated GT racing at Le Mans for decades now.
Porsche, which is the most successful brand at Le Mans, and
Ford, who went back-to-back-to-back-to-back in the late 60s with the GT40, and then returned with the GT1 and GTE models in more recent decades.
That dedication to history shows in the broadcast too, with the broadcast often cutting to Tom Kristensen for interviews or by harkening back to similar events in Le Mans' past. Obviously, that's something that comes up in all racing broadcasts, but it was very apparent at Le Mans this year.
For the record, I'm not saying that's bad, this blog is proof that I'm a massive nerd when it comes to racing history, and I love that, I'm just noting it's a difference.
The crowd burning a couch in celebration after the 12 Hours of Sebring? Fans celebrating the misadventures of the Sean Creech Motorsports American flag Ligier LMP2 with its many cautions at Daytona and now Watkins Glen? You don't really see that at Le Mans.
In fact, there was one very fun thing from the 2023 Le Mans that was missing this year: the Garage 56 NASCAR. Now, i understand that was a one-off thing, and I do get the impression that the hydrogen car they showed off before the race - which was numbered #24, just like the NASCAR had been - was supposed to be a G56 entry for this year but they couldn't quite get it working yet, so I know that it's a bit of an unfair criticism to levy against Le Mans.
Still, 2023 had the big Camaro memes, the V8 sound, all those Freebird on the Mulsanne edits, it made Le Mans more fun.
And of course, Le Mans is fun even without those things - ferris wheels, fireworks, and, you know, the whole twenty-four hours of motor racing thing - all make for appointment television for racing nerds like me, but it is something I've noticed coming out of the 2024 race.
So does Le Mans need to change? No, i don't think so.
I like seeing cars coming down the Mulsanne, I like seeing the Ferrari hypercar racing against Toyota in addition to all the cars that do both IMSA and WEC, I like the announcers getting increasingly delirious as it gets into the night stint, and I like the fact that Valentino Rossi is now a BMW GT3 driver who competed at Le Mans.
The Rolex 24 at Daytona is probably more fun that Le Mans and its position on the calendar probably lets it get a handful of one-off drivers that may not be able to do Le Mans, but Le Mans also attracts plenty of unique talent as well. Ferrari doesn't do IMSA, nor does Toyota, nor does Valentino Rossi.
Would I like them to? Absolutely.
Am I fine with just having two different, successful endurance racing series on either side of the Atlantic? Absolutely. It's like the modern version of CART vs. Formula One as far as I'm concerned, only this time, I'm in a position to enjoy it.
So yeah, there are some things I prefer about IMSA, but there's plenty I love about Le Mans as well.
Hell, the fact that after the sister Ferrari won last year, we got to see the #50 Ferrari of Nicklas Nielsen, Miguel Molina, and Antonio Fuoco win. Both cars have now won Le Mans, and this means that last year's Antonio Giovinazzi, and this year's Antonio Fuoco - two drivers I've followed since the mid-to-late 2010s when they were actively in the open wheel junior series - are both Le Mans winners.
That's cool. I love the fact that drivers can fulfill their dream of winning for Ferrari, not just in Formula One, but now at Le Mans too. It's a great time to see, and between this and Indycar, I'm developing a lot of hope for talented junior drivers without F1 prospects.
Hell, on that very note, Felipe Drugovich raced at Le Mans for Action Express Cadillac this year, which seems to be his first time back in a major racing series since his F2 title campaign. Glad to see him back behind the wheel, just wish it went better for him.
Anyway, this last weekend of racing was a bit of a dud for me and I find myself busy yet again, so I'll leave the blogpost here, but do let you know what you think!

a deep dive into endurance racing
wec for beginners
Tumblr media Tumblr media

the fia world endurance championship (wec) is a racing discipline where speed meets strategy, and drivers push their limits for hours on end. if you're new to this exhilarating world, or if you've been following it from a distance, we're going to explore everything you need to know about this thrilling motorsport.
what is wec?
Tumblr media
the wec, established in 2012, is an international series of endurance races organised by the fédération internationale de l'automobile (fia). it brings together the best manufacturers and drivers from around the globe, testing not just their speed, but also their ability to endure the grueling demands of long-distance racing. each race can last anywhere from six to 24 hours, with teams often swapping drivers and strategising pit stops to keep their cars in peak condition.
key features
endurance racing format: unlike traditional races that might only last a couple of hours, wec events are marathons. the races include the iconic 24 hours of le mans, a test of stamina, skill, and strategy, held annually since 1923. other races in the championship include six-hour events at various tracks around the world.
diverse categories: the wec features several classes of cars, including le mans prototype (lmp) and grand touring (gt) categories. each class has its own unique set of regulations and performance characteristics, making for an exciting mix on the track
global reach: the championship hosts races in various countries, providing fans with a chance to experience a multitude of different tracks and cultures. from the rolling hills of spa-francorchamps in belgium to the iconic circuit de la sarthe in france, each location brings its own challenges and charm.
evolution of wec

the history of the wec is a fascinating one. it replaced the previous intercontinental le mans cup and aimed to revitalize interest in endurance racing. the early years saw fierce competition, particularly in the lmp1 class, which featured powerful hybrid prototypes from manufacturers like audi, porsche, and toyota. these teams showcased cutting-edge technology, blending performance with environmental considerations.
as the years progressed, regulations changed, leading to the introduction of the le mans daytona h (lmdh) class, which aims to bring more manufacturers into the fold. this class allows for greater technical freedom while ensuring that costs remain manageable, making it more accessible for teams looking to compete at the highest level.
iconic races and legendary teams
Tumblr media

one of the standout features of wec is its iconic races. the 24 hours of le mans is undoubtedly the crown jewel, drawing massive crowds and significant media attention. winning at le mans is considered one of the highest honours in motorsport, and teams prepare for it all year round.
aside from le mans, other races like the 6 hours of silverstone and the 6 hours of fuji have become staples in the endurance racing calendar. legendary teams such as audi, porsche, and toyota have built a rich legacy in these events, each with their own stories of triumph and heartache.
the role of technology
Tumblr media

technology plats a massive role in wec racing. cars are equipped with hybrid powertrains, advanced aerodynamics, and sophisticated data analytics. this focus on innovation not only pushes the boundaries of performance on the track, but also helps manufacturers develop technologies that can be applied to road cars too. the crossover between motorsport and everyday vehicles is a hallmark of wec's philosophy, blending sustainability with speed.
sustainability and the future
as we move towards a more environmentally-conscious future, the wec has made significant strides in promoting sustainability. with the introduction of hybrid technology and plans for fully electric racing, the championship is at the forefront of a green revolution in motorsport. this focus on eco-friendliness doesn't sacrifice the excitement and competitiveness that fans crave; instead, it enhances the sport's relevance in a changing world.
how to get involved
Tumblr media

whether you're a die-hard motorsport enthusiast or a casual fan, getting involved in the wec can be incredibly rewarding. attending a race is an experience like no other. the atmosphere is electric, and the camaraderie among fans is palpable. for those who prefer to enjoy the action from home, wec races are broadcast worldwide, often featuring comprehensive coverage that highlights not just the racing, but also the stories behind the teams and drivers that make up the sport.
