borrower who decides they’re long overdue for a vacation, and sneaks into the human’s bag to tag along on their lazy beach getaway. except they climbed into the human’s roommate’s bag, and now they are dragged along into an intensive wilderness hike in the middle of nowhere with a human that doesn’t even know they’re there (yet!)

A little devil on my shoulder sometimes tells me it's embarrassing to love this country so much, because I've never felt about my homeland or any other state I've visited the same way. A lot of people hate a place they live in - but I really can't understand them. Even if I have to go through difficulties or when I have a bad day, my love for Lithuania only keeps getting stronger? is it supposed to be this way???(⁄ ⁄•⁄▽⁄•⁄ ⁄) People here are so smart and kind and beautiful and funny and reliable, they smile prettily and they have warm hands, and each one has their special interest - so even if I enjoy time in another state, I always think "Well, I wonder how it's going on in Lithuania." It's a very strong, pure and sincere feeling - which scares me a bit.
Nevertheless, I'm not gonna lie that "everything is bad in Lithuania" just to stick with the worldwide society and amuse the vanity of the unfortunate. I'm sorry if you don't love your home, but I love mine, nothing else to add.

I assume that you accidentally eat too much chocolate and end up making yourself queasy more often than you're ever willing to admit. >w>
honestly, the first half? you got that right XD. i do eat too much chocolate. but here's the thing; i have a stomach made of steel. i grew up on indian street food and those stalls? they break more health code violations than you can name. i breathed in noxious gases, even the drinking water at my school was....questionable.
so uh...it's not that easy making me queasy when it comes to food XD. unless it taste and smells weird...then yeah, i'm retching.

World Sight Day
World Sight Day is observed every year on the second Thursday of October, falling on October 10 this year. It was initiated by the Lions Clubs International Foundation during their ‘SightFirstCampaign’ in an effort to spread awareness about preventable blindness and help people who are visually impaired.
History of World Sight Day
In 1917, Melvin Jones established Lions Clubs International (L.C.I.), which was a service organization. The Lions Clubs International has organized a variety of projects across the globe like fundraisers for typhoons and cyclone victims, diagnosis and management for people with hearing disorders, community hearing, and cancer screening projects.
One of the well-known Lions Clubs International projects was the ‘SightFirst’ campaign. Started in 1990, this campaign aimed to fight blindness due to trachoma and other causes of blindness. These campaigns helped over 488 million people who were visually impaired.
During the ‘SightFirst’ campaign in 2000, the Lions Clubs International and the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (I.A.P.B.) proclaimed every second Thursday of October to be observed as World Sight Day. The primary objective was to draw the public’s attention to the importance of following safe practices to prevent blindness and other problems related to vision. Medication kits and financial assistance were provided to the needy. This day was observed by millions of people worldwide to spread awareness about eye care and also to appreciate the gift of vision, which is a blessing in every sense of the word. This day was also a step towards the World Health Organization’s ‘VISION 2020’, which aimed to “intensify and accelerate prevention of blindness activities so as to achieve the goal of eliminating avoidable blindness by 2020.”
In 2020, World Sight Day was celebrated with a theme named ‘HopeInSight’ and over 755 World Sight Day events were organized in about 140 countries worldwide.

World Sight Day FAQs
Do I get a free eye check-up on World Sight Day?
There are many eye clinics and hospitals that offer free eye checkups. Find out from your nearest hospital if they plan to organize such an event. You can even motivate them to do so if there aren’t any existing plans already.
Can I donate my eyes after death?
Yes. You’ll have to register with the eye bank and concerned authorities. The eyes have to be taken within four to five hours of death. By donating your eyes, you give the gift of vision to someone in need, thereby making a difference in this world, even after your death.
Where can I donate money?
Many charitable organizations accept donations for helping the visually impaired. Find out the local charitable trusts in your city or donate directly to the Lions Clubs International or the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness.
World Sight Day Activities
Raise funds: There are still thousands of people who cannot afford to get the medical treatment they need. Organize a fundraiser and ask your friends and relatives to donate to this noble cause. You will be making a huge impact on the lives of many people affected by vision impairment.
Educate people: About 75% of blindness is preventable. Educate people about healthy practices, medications, and treatments available. You can team up with Lions Clubs International and help spread the word.
Get an eye checkup: This would be a good time to get your eyes checked. The doctor will examine the condition of the blood vessels in your retina and check the overall functioning of your eyes and vision. Go to your nearest eye clinic and also motivate your family members and friends to get their eyes checked.
5 Facts About Eyes That Will Blow Your Mind
Eyes developed millions of years ago: It is estimated that eyes developed in mammals about 500 million years ago.
They are crucial for information: Almost 80% of the information that your brain processes comes from the eyes.
They are the fastest muscle: Contracting in less than 1/100th of a second, the eyes are the fastest muscle in the human body.
A blink lasts 100 milliseconds: The blink of a human eye can last anywhere between 100 to 150 milliseconds.
A sight test can determine other ailments: Conditions like high blood pressure or high sugar levels can be detected in an eye test.
Why We Love World Sight Day
Millions of people do not have access to medical care: It is said that half of the world's population does not have access to proper medical care and resources. It is important for people to recognize the gravity of the situation and do their part in helping people to obtain the medical supervision they are entitled to. This day draws attention to the fact that 85% of blindness is preventable and yet millions are visually impaired because they didn't receive treatment.
It is a reminder that sight is a gift: We have to realize that we wouldn't be enjoying the world's beauty, its color, and its detail if it were not for our eyes. We often take our eyesight for granted and become careless, not realizing that sight is truly a gift that we have to be grateful for. This day reminds us to take care of our eyes and also to show love and support to those who can't see.
It is a reminder to get your eyes checked: We often get so busy with our daily schedule that we neglect our bodies. Do you know that detecting cataracts in the early stages can help prevent blindness? This day provides an opportunity and a reminder to finally get that eye check you've been postponing for long.

Chairlift to Natural Tunnel State Park:
Want an exciting getaway activity that's full of awe-inspiring sights? Take the chairlift straight down into the forest and explore the Natural Tunnel State Park. Camp, if you plan to stay longer, or sign up for a cave tour or canoe trip on the Clinch River, the 2nd most bio-diverse river in the world after the Amazon River! As you drive up the hill towards the Chairlift Area, look up to see visitor legs dangling above as the lift passes overhead and down the hill. A roundtrip ticket to ride the lift costs $4. Alternatively, you could hike the trail down from the visitor center. The tunnel itself is magnificent. You can't get into it as it's an active train track, but you can stand over the 300 ft precipice, and you can take short trails to either side of the tunnel to observe. You will have fun. No Doubt!
