When you start to try to fact check information about DID it is absolutely insane how much of it seems to be from DID Research.
Like from what we have caught alone, did-research.org seems to be the earliest source for:
DID only appearing before the ages of six to nine
OSDD-1 being divided into OSDD-1a and OSDD-1b
The average number of alters is 12 for males and 15 for females
Especially the first one makes me feel like I'm loosing my goddamn mind because it's constantly cited as a "gotcha" in syscourse, but there is no earlier source for that we can find besides did-research.org.

i think the worst thing about tumblr live is that it genuinely COULD have been really cool. like i remember feeling excited when they started asking if people would like livestreams on tumblr, thinking i could do art streams directly here instead of on youtube or whatever. then it finally came and, oops! actually its tiktok and mobile-only and also deliberately replacing a staple element to the app design so that people will click on it on accident and make it look more popular than it actually is. because god forbid we have some goddamn integrity when implementing a potential source of revenue

I'm so uncurious about the post editor. I've only ever bothered with settings I need, like sourcing, make unrebloggable, edit text sometimes. and then when adding a source link to a previous post, I Just registered that the date part says "set a publishing date to a time in the past" but thought, there's no way that actually works right. and it does. what the hell lmao. why can you do this. I still don't know what add custom url does. does anyone use that, is it basically the same thing as tagging ?
#I feel like maybe custom url is more for people whose tumblr blogs function as websites like webcomic hosting for better indexing?#is this just like the way you can edit fics on ao3 to be published on the recent date to bump them to the top of a tag if you wanted to#even if you haven't added new material#but no one takes advantage of it out of honesty. unless they actually do. I'm not active on there#now if only I knew how people edit their polls to break the percentages lmao#also people who haven't checked the tumblr labs settings and turned on reblog graphs: I recommend it#it's very fun to see where certain posts (you can do this with any one's) gained the most traction!

I’ve been spending less and less time on this stupid ass website recently and honestly….. good
#idk I just don’t find it as? enjoyable as I once did?#which is sad in a way cuz I’ve used tumblr YEARS now and I DO enjoy the way the platform functions#and I for the most part enjoy the space I’ve created#but idk#it’s getting harder and harder to find ppl I actually want to follow and interact with#not many ppl post about my interests in a way I like#and while I once had a pretty active and good chunk of ppl I followed#more and more of them are starting to be inactive#on top of that I’ve been fighting the urge to just drop off of social media entirely recently anyways#like idk….. something about it all of a sudden has started to feel very draining and not fun#not that I have a lot of social media accounts to begin with…..#but I have been seriously debating just deleting most of them#I think part of it is not wanting old ppl in my life having a method of contacting me haha#but also it’s not like I use or enjoy them that much anyways#idk I have some mutuals on here I still enjoy interacting and seeing their posts and such obviously#but idk…. just not been feeling it lately#which in a lot of ways is a good thing! the amount of time I spend on my phone has dropped A LOT#I mostly just use it on breaks at work now and for a little bit before bed#other than? I’ve been actually engaging in hobbies and not mindlessly scrolling#mostly gaming writing and cooking and idk it’s been nice#I doubt I’d ever actually delete this blog#I’ll be here until this website goes down#I am starting to feel like my activity might be slowing down a lot from what it once was tho#kaz rambles

#so im gonna be a lil bitch on main for a minute#ive been offline for a while#pretty much absent from all my socials#im in a pickle financially like i have no money anywhere#my credit cards are maxxed#my bank account is negative 400 dollars#im getting 20 dollars less in disability benefits a month without a clear reason for the witholding#granted its only 20 bucks less but that still makes a huge difference when thats my ONLY source of income#AND i am moving into a new apartment which should be an exciting experience finally moving out of my parents house and on my own and all BUT#even with the voucher program i would need an additional 600 to be able to afford my rent share and utilities#on top of being negative 400 dollars a month so now thats -1000#WHICH end result and the crux of this whole rant#i can no longer help#like i am fucking useless right now and people are literally dying#i have many unanswered asks from gazans right now that I cannot even help bc im so broke#it feels really bad bruv like reallybad#feels like absolute shit#and it ust feels so wrong to ask for help when others need it more#like i dont think i could do that#wtf man#is it me upset that my entire disability check goes to bills to the point where i overdraft every month? yeah sure#my art does not sell and ive tried everything! like it just DOES NOT sell#and it all kinda boils down to me not having any sort of following online#i just breached 200 followers here after 13 years on this website#most are inactive blogs from years ago so i maybe have like... 10 active followers?#whiny usamerican rant over for now#delete later

tumblr is one of the only refuges artists have without fighting twitter’s worsening algorithm or instagram’s image crunching so i think on top of being vocal about bad changes, be vocal about the good ones too. like it or not, the Blaze feature is an awesome addition as it allows artists to boost their own work. the sponsored artist alley thing that shows as an ad spot is an excellent compromise between not having ads and helping the user base. the addition of top posts on a blog are good. if you send feedback complaining about the user-hostile updates, always mention previous versions that were better and why, and any new updates which are good and why.
#add customisable top three posts and support for both the mobile view AND custom blog themes because they don’t have to be mutually exclusiv#go ahead with features to simplify the experience for new users but leave options open for older users#or anyone who can dive right into a custom blog if they wish. people love options#the mobile overlay view is actually pretty good it just shouldn’t replace custom blogs.#the tumblr store could be used to sell artist work without it being weird brand marketing like]#nobody wanted tumblr merch. but a different design every month with a different theme may be better#i feel like this website is so close to being great for artists. they just keep making it harder by#making up for decent helpful changes with stupid corporate changes to be more profitable

#its kind of depressing looking at the ftmuk blog nowadays like i feel like most of the important info people were accessing it for is gone#like i understand not having updated waitlist estimations for top surgery#but the fact they dont even keep a list of who and where top surgery team options are anymore is just depressing#it used to be a great blog for so much info on navigating the gic and/or being ftm in the uk and now most of their answers are#idk can one of our followers help? and its like. why do you think we are following you. you were the people on here that actually knew stuff#crouch speaks#and thats if they even publish/respond to your ask#end up having to use reddit for most stuff now#no where has a good comprehensive list of top surgery options in the uk anymore thats up to date#all you get is a checkout trans bucket but trans bucket is literally the worst website to navigate ever its so wildly inaccessible#and the filters barely work and it requires you to already know the surgical team names#i feel like i dont know where to access the information i need anymore bc its all gone

subway is fucked today. naive of me to assume it would be better today after it was barely in service last week between like wednesday to sunday. line 2 is having power outages and signal problems and my train got stopped at two separate stations for like 10 mins each. every single line 1 stations appears to be flooding except for wellesley station which is out of service for security reasons. absolute shitshow on all levels. unmatched public transit system
#at a line 1 station rn and its not closed for flooding the roof IS leaking#the ttc website isnt even bothering to put all the service alerts on there#but the pa system keeps listing out stations with no service#is the ttc aware they built line 1 directly on top of a river??#blogging about transit systems none of you have experienced whatever
