I love this Prates of Penzance movie.  It has the energy, camp, and talent needed for a G&S.  The Sargent is played by theater Tony Azito, whom may have been made of rubber.

Was gonna do this earlier but I dozed off for a bit, also had to make sure that this is the one I used to watch since it’s been forever, so much so that I totally forgot Angela Lansbury and Kevin Kline were in it.

I love this production because with very few adjustments, mostly just to the sets, it would translate to the theatre, probably has something to do with the whole thing being shot on a soundstage, just a wonderful spectacle all the way through.

As long as we’re doing G&S I’ll bring out the greatest rendition of HMS Pinafore of all time.

I feel like Kelsey Grammer occasionally waits by the phone praying that the Simpsons will call and want him to do something like this again.
