A veces pienso que Salamone es solo la punta de un iceberg y que detrás de él hay muchos otros profesionales de su época que dejaron obras modernas y originales por todo el país, que todavía esperan visibilidad y reconocimiento. Hoy quiero mostrarles un ejemplo notable: el edificio de la Sociedad Suiza de Cañada de Gómez, en la provincia de Santa Fe. 📅 Inaugurado el 23 de julio de 1938, este edificio fue diseñado por los arquitectos Arman y Todeschini, conocidos por su obra en Rosario, y construido por Pedro Sorzini. De estilo racionalista náutico con algunos detalles art decó, se destaca por su salón coronado en su centro por la cruz de la Confederación Helvética, rodeada por el rojo de su símbolo nacional. Famoso por su excelente acústica, ha recibido orquestas de jazz, tango y música clásica durante décadas. 🎶 🔧 Entre los detalles relevantes, la carpintería metálica fue obra de La Helvética, la fábrica más importante de Cañada en aquel entonces, fundada por un suizo; las aberturas, por su parte, fueron realizadas por los hermanos Schindler. En 2014, el edificio fue declarado patrimonio histórico y cultural, y hasta hoy sigue siendo un espacio vital para la vida social y cultural de la ciudad. Este es solo uno de los cientos de edificios que esperan ser visibilizados en todo el país junto a los nombres de sus creadores. Algunos ya fueron demolidos o modificados, pero otros, como este, sobreviven gracias al esfuerzo de personas como Raúl, quien se encarga de mantener y restaurarlo cuando los recursos lo permiten.

For years, the collection of intimate instant photos of the creators of PHOTODARIUM Private, a tear-off calendar that brings together the most fascinating images of international photographers from around the world, has been growing. Now the archives are opening up and present a curated selection in the high-quality photo book INSTANT NUDES.

In the photo book INSTANT NUDES the work of eleven photographers who use instant images to capture erotic moments. Some of the photographs are revealing, some more discreet. What they all have in common is their reverence for a beautiful body. Because of its authenticity, the medium of the instant photo is the antithesis of digital photography. Instant photos enhance the erotic-voyeuristic moment through their intimacy, uniqueness and materiality, often not perfect and therefore all the more authentic, provocative and yet differentiated.

In their everyday working lives, models are projection screens for social ideas of beauty. They are staged by the photographers and a whole staff of stylists and hair & make-up artists. It is different with the photography of nudes at home, in the intimacy of their private surroundings. 

The calendar PHOTODARIUM Private has been published since 2016. The tear-off calendar shows uncensored instant pictures with an artistic approach to nudity. David Todeschini, 70, appears in journalist and YouTuber Andrew Callaghan’s directorial debut, This Place Rules. The film, which premiered on HBO on December 30, “explores the undercurrents that led to the January 6 Capitol Riot,” and features interviews from 2020 with people deeply enmeshed in far-right conspiracy theories.

In a clip from the doc that has made its way onto social media, Todeschini, who posts on social media under the name “David Trent” and reportedly attended the rally prior to the January 6 insurrection at the Capitol, asserts with no evidence that Oprah Winfrey, Hillary Clinton, and President Joe Biden are all pedophiles. The QAnon conspiracy theory states that there is a secret, international cabal of satanic child molesters controlling the world that is run by top Democrats and Hollywood personalities.

Callaghan then confronts Todeschini with his own 1999 conviction of one count each of sexual abuse in the first degree and sodomy in the second degree for coercing an eight-year-old boy in New Jersey into sexual activity in 1996.
