Howdy hello- guess who made a wings au :)

More to come with this eventually- I’m working on my designs for other characters at the moment, but for now we’ve got Red-Tailed Hawk for Curt and Eagle Owl for Owen.

For DMA I had Barn Owl wings because a) Barn Owls are beautiful and I wanted to draw the wings for them, and more importantly, b) Owen would probably want to disguise his wings, and it would make sense if it was as a different type of owl. I just assume he’d dye his feathers in some way or another. Look- just don’t think about it too much.

How would the HOTD guys (Aemond, Aegon, Jace, and Daemon) react to not being allowed into the birthing room, but they can hear their wife yelling for them?

Aemond will be in the birthing room. No arguments. Not from the midwives, not from the maester's, not even his own mother. The guards don't even dare try and stop him. He will be there by his wife's side while she gives him a child.

Aegon is anxious, at first he lingers in the hallway pacing. But as soon as he hears his wife screaming he's immediately trying to get the door open. If guards try and stop him, he will threaten to have their heads. Aegon will hey into that room no matter what, he will be by his wife's side and he will get to see his child be born.

Jace stands in the hallway, he wants to be there when the baby comes out and his wife is ready to be seen. He'd bite his lips, and wring his hands. When his wife starts to scream, he goes from anxious to downright scared. He'd push the guards aside and burst into the room, Jace is going to be by his wife's side when she has their baby.

Fuck tradition. Daemon doesn't care what anyone tells him, he refuses to be like his brother and leave his wife alone while she bares his child. No one is going to stop him, not if they want to live.

the one little theory-headcanon i have is that when Agent Curt Mega tries to stop the deal with Sergio and starrs shooting and DMA is leading his arm is that Owen actually counted the bullets so he knew that that particular gun, which was probably Colt Model 1900 (it's one of the most popular guns during the cold war and it has magazine with 7 bullets), didn't have the 8th bullet so the last "shot" won't kill Curt.

Okay but what if, instead of puppets, the collector turned people into different specific toys that represented how the collector saw them. Like, maybe a bard would turn into one of those plushies that can sing if you press a button. Or a team of grudgby players would become figures on a foosball table.

Hunter would have been a tin soldier. Made for fighting, part of a set, easily disposed of without anyone batting an eye. A child loses a tin soldier? That's fine, they have another box full of them. Belos kills off a grimwalker? That's fine, he has plenty to spare.

Amity would have been a dress-up doll. Something to be controlled and presented as her mother saw fit. Maybe part of a matching collection. Does she want to be in control of herself? Too bad, her limbs don't reticulate like that. She's only made for posing, after all.

Willow would have been something strong. Something sturdy. Unbreakable. Something with the intent of being tossed around and not immediately shattering. She can't falter, obviously, she has an entire team to look after. Grin and bear it. She can handle a few chips to the paint, dents in the corners, wearing down edges. Of course she can.

Gus would have been a stuffed animal. Inherently seen as childish, easily overlooked and lost in the space between a desk and a bed – and can take a hit like a champ. Ever thrown a teddy bear against a wall? Those things don't break easy. Laugh it off. He'll be fine. He's a kid. He'll forget about it.

Idk. I just think it would have been cool to represent not only the control of the collector, but the control that the people around them have on their lives and how they break free from that.
