Last month (almost a month ago!!!) on the 21st we hit my 1st anniversary here on Tumblr and I couldn't let this date go by without celebrating with you guys.

closure, i guess

this morning stumbled upon a screenshot of my post on another platform and had a bit of a flashback moment, so here i am, logging in for the first time in over a year. i think it's been obvious for a while that this blog is dead in the water--but even still, i feel the need to make some kind of goodbye post? closure post?

stranger things and this blog and the people i met while running this blog kept me afloat during a scary and chaotic time in my life. things are different now for me and there just isn't room for this blog anymore. it's bittersweet. it's true. regardless, i am so so so grateful for everything this blog was. if you were around on stranger things tumblr while i was around, i love you. if you joined after i left, i love you. i'm glad people are still having fun with this show like i had fun with it.

i guess that's all i have for now. be well, everyone.

I’ll be celebrating a year of remission on January 19th and I just wanna cry I am so happy 😭🥹 Because I have a chronic form of leukemia there is no telling if/when it might come back but I am so grateful to at least be celebrating this 😭 I’ll be meeting Purple Kiss on the 24th as celebration as well!!!

There is nothing in this world more dear to my heart then men taking accountability for their mistakes and learning to be better and help others.

For context, I dated a guy with an addiction at the end of highschool. And his addiction directly harmed my safety. I remember him relapsing once and calling me crying so I could tell him that he’s still a “good boyfriend.” It was one of the most manipulative experiences I’ve ever had.

Years later I’m dating a loving, genuinely good man who I can communicate with openly. And if I have a problem with something he’s been doing or did, he’ll understand, apologize, and work on it. There’s no manipulation to make me feel bad for having needs. He’s a grown man, with maturity and respect and genuine love and care. He’s grown as a person and knows how to love. To truly love. And shares that love openly with me.

My guy best friend is seven years older than me. Does his age give him opportunities to call me small? Yes. And he does. But the sheer amount of times that guy has tried to guide me and support me because he remembers being my age and feeling the way I did is staggering. He’s been through a lot and he’s used that to become a safe person for others who need someone to look out for them.

I JUST LOVE EMOTIONALLY MATURE MEN.

I LOVE GOOD GUYS WITH GOOD HEARTS.
