i seriously think that the eeriest part of tigerclawstar’s death wasn’t the method of death, but the fact that he kept coming back to life to die again moments later through all nine of his lives. like, yeah, the disembowelment was hella violent and possibly the most gruesome death in the series to date, but i feel like no one brings up how it didn’t tear through every life at once. i mean, yeah, he lost all his lives to it, but he lost them one by one. firestar deliberately notes that tigerstar was revived eight times, yet almost immediately died a few moments later from the severity of the injury. i feel like that’s the most overlooked part of the scene, but i think it’s the most horrifying part. can you imagine dying a terrifying, gruesome death, being revived, and having to die from it again immediately a total of eight times??? it’s such a freaky thing.

That Shadowclan. Who allowed this??? Why would ANYONE allow this. Also why do we need a basket ball to tell the clans who killed me??? Can’t Starclan just tell them??? Isn’t that our whole religion???

I’ve seen a few people lately share what warriors characters they think represent the seven deadly sins, and I’ve had a think about it too and come to my own conclusions. And I thought it would be fun to include a relevant quote for each one.

How could Ashfur possibly think Squirrelflight would go along with him, now or ever? Shadowsight wondered. Then he realized that Ashfur wasn’t thinking straight at all. His obsession with Squirrelflight was making him ignore what was right in front of him.

“Why are you forcing me to do this?” he asked plaintively. “If you would just admit that you love me, I could stop.”

"Understand what?"

"You mouse-brain! My kin should have been the leader of RiverClan, not his! If ThunderClan hadn't driven me across the river, my kits would never have died. If RiverClan hadn't rejected me, I'd be their father's mate, not some fish-hearted RiverClan queen." Her breath was coming in gasps now. "I’ve endured so much betrayal! So many cats have hurt me beyond measure. And then you came, destined for so much greatness, when you should never have been born!"

I saw a twitter post that wondered if dark forest cats could feel their permanent injuries and such so i quickly made this

One thing that has always sorta bothered me about The Last Hope is the scene where Tigerstar congratulates Brambleclaw for killing Hawkfrost.

I know it's supposed to be some shocking show of how bad he is that he celebrates his own son's death, trying to upset Brambleclaw by rubbing in the fact that he destroyed his brother's spirit and all that, but it makes his character seem...flat?

I think it would have been way more interesting if Tigerstar was dismayed. Genuinely dismayed and upset that he lost his son, that Brambleclaw killed his own brother not once but twice. He still rubs in the fact that Brambleclaw is a killer, but it's more unintentional, a result of Tigerstar snapping at him for doing it.

In The Prophecies Begin Tigerstar was evil yes, but he still actually cared about his kits and even if Hawkfrost was never his favourite son, it would have been nice for Tigerstar to mourn him? Especially after all the time they spent together in the Dark Forest.
