"I depend on you..." "Do I or do you?"

Hi Smooches!! I know a little while ago you said you were thinking about reader feeling ignored by Dottore and the segments, but that you probably wouldn’t write it because it would be too angsty. So please feel free to disregard this but… I’m thinking about Zandy throwing a fit on readers behalf. Like, storm into Prime’s office and stamp his little foot type of fit. And he gets upset about how he feels reader is being treated and ignored. And Prime and the other segments brush him off at first until the start making their own observations and realizing that something IS wrong with reader. Bigger angst is them being too stubborn and set in their ways to think a change needs to be made.
(x) It's funny to think out of all the mature adults you have as lovers, a child is the one who's able to understand your feelings the most. Sure, he probably can't understand everything precisely, but you're sad, and that's all that little Zandy needs to know. It's so simple for him and that's what makes it so endearing - he knows what it's like to be sad, it hurts really bad, and he knows you must be experiencing the same pain right now. The parent he loves so much! It makes his tiny chest hurt too. He can't let that be - you always comfort him and remedy the situation when he's sad, he must do the same for you! Even if that means confronting the big, bad... P-Prime, and the other segments by extension.
It's pretty hard considering they don't really want Zandy around in the first place, but for you, the boy is the most persistent child around. Initially, he just drops a few sentences about how much you miss them, and how much you talk about them (smart boy he is) to see if that'd do anything, if they'd maybe make one percent more of an effort. The child's experiment is a failure. Despite your insistence and fake smiles to leave it be, Zandy still pouts in dismay. You're the best grown-up ever, you had the kindness to give him a chance, why don't the others reciprocate that? He does try to listen to you and leave it be, but it makes the boy's poor heart ache too much to see you distracted and despondent. So in true child-like fashion, he throws a big fuss.
Admittedly, Dottore and the others are a bit surprised because Zandy isn't the sort of child to do this - when he has something to say, he usually ends up being mostly ignored, and then he just makes himself scarce. But nope, this time the boy is fully adamant about expressing his displeasure on your behalf, because you've given up apparently. Unfortunately... the brief feeling of surprise is again replaced with general apathy once again. Zandy probably cries by himself after that.
Still, eventually, they do take notice as to how their routines have slightly been changed, more like not disrupted for once - you're not popping up around them anymore, not fiddling with their items and notes, any acts of service you'd do, you barely even strike up a conversation nowadays, even when they're right there giving you medicine, you hardly even meet their gaze anymore. The more days that go by, the more the list grows. Dottore tries to ignore it, the pile of work in front of him isn't growing any smaller. He tries to justify the treatment in his mind, you've dealt with this for so long, you know his role, and you should be able to deal with it. Admittedly, he recognizes you didn't exactly sign up for this, but what can he do? He pushes your disheartened face out of his mind and believes you should find more to occupy yourself, just as he does. (Deep down somewhere, he knows he's in the wrong.)
By the time the man realizes his part in the growing problem, it may be too late.

The Fate of the Dead
(Go to the end for prompt source and ao3 link) Chapter 1:
Sam was able to see the future.
“A gift” her grandfather whispered on his deathbed.
“A curse,” her mother sneered.
“Hope,” her grandmother said.
“Witch” her playmates said.
One move to a rinky dink town later and even though her parents didn’t say anything, Sam understood – keep quiet, say nothing, and everything would be fine.
-
While the first few years of Sam’s life were a whirlwind of activities, fancy parties, and frilly, fashionable dresses, the next few years were quiet.  Living in a small town where no one knew who the Mansons were, was an adjustment.  Sam, even at her young age, could pick up on the quiet resentment from her parents.  The sidelong looks at the TV over news of celebrity parties, the glance over at Sam when reading the Socialites section of the newspaper, and the way that they frowned when Sam started talking about her visions.  By the time Sam entered 1st grade, she stopped mentioning them to anyone, family or otherwise.  Why would her parents care about the sight of blood on the playground, or the car crash on the interstate?  They couldn’t stop it, and Sam couldn’t either – not without knowing information like “where” or “why” or the most important of all – “when”.
-
Walking into the 2nd grade hallway, she found her teacher waving students in that they recognized from open night into the classroom.  As Sam approached, the teacher brightened, “Hello Samantha!  Walk right in, there’s a seating chart at the front of the classroom.  Please find your seat and sit down.  Class will start soon.”  Nodding, Sam walked into the classroom and saw a large easel with sticky notes plastered to it.  Each one was arranged into groups like the desks behind her.  She located her seat, turned around, and almost ran into a boy with black hair.
“DANNY!”  A woman slid to a halt, bumping the classroom teacher a little as she caught herself on the door post.  A backpack held up in one hand and breathing hard, like she’d ran to the school.  After a moment, she looked up, “Danny, you forgot your backpack.”
The black haired boy turned around, “Oh!  Thanks Mommy!” he grinned as he ran back to her.
Sam stopped, shocked – not because of the almost run in, but because that boy looked like a younger version of the one she saw in one of her oldest visions.  The only recurring one she’d ever had.  As the boy shooed his mother off and turned around to head back to the easel, Sam woodenly headed to her seat, refusing to look up from the floor.  Swinging the straps of her bag over the back of her seat, she smoothed her skirt, and sat down.  She blinked a few times, fighting back tears.  Not all of Sam’s visions were unpleasant, but the ones that were, tended to be rather extreme – this particular one included.  She had almost convinced herself it was a recurring nightmare rather than a true vision, but there was no way she could have imagined those screams.  She breathed in and out to calm herself like her mother showed her, fists clenched under her desk, hidden, like her father.  As the thunk of a backpack landed on the desk next to her, she shook her head a little and looked up.  “I’m Sam,” she introduced herself to the boy next to her.  A hand stuck out in his direction.
“Tucker,” the boy grinned, as he shook her hand.
By the end of recess later that day, Danny was sporting a bloody nose, Tucker was on the ground, and Sam stood in front of them, glaring at the blonde kid who started it all.
“Step aside, if you know what’s good for you!” the kid said, trying to stand up tall, chest puffed out.
“You can’t hit a girl!” Danny yelled around the hand clutching his nose.
“Yeah!  That’s, like, super mean!”  Tucker said as he started to stand.
“I might!” was the response.
Sam glared harder, “You can try.”
“Move!” Dash screamed.
“No!” Sam screamed back.
“Over here!  There’s some little kids fighting!”  An older student was yelling across the playground, motioning for a teacher’s assistant on recess duty to come over.
By the end of the day, Dash was suspended and Sam had made two lifelong friends.
-
“But Saaaaaam,” Danny whined, “why do we have to go the long way to the park?”
“Yea, Saaaam whyyy, my feet already hurt from PE today,” Tucker said, a few steps behind the other two.
“Because I said so,” Sam rolled her eyes.  “It’s nice out today - why wouldn’t we take advantage of it?”
Danny slowed down to settle beside Tucker and stage whispered, “I think this is payback for painting the inside of her locker pink.”
“No.”  Tucker solemnly said.  “She’s just trying to kill us.”
Danny nodded, “Aaah, that makes sense.  Do you think she’ll at least pay our funeral expenses?”
Tucker snorted, “She should at least pay for our coffin lining.  I’m thinking light blue.  Sam, what do you think?  Light blue?  Or should you do green for me?”
Sam rolled her eyes and turned around to walk backwards to talk to them, “I think you two are melodramatic and insufferable.”
The boys laughed at her, seeing the uptick of her mouth.  They walked a little faster.  Sam turned back around right before Tucker slung an arm around her shoulders as they fell in step with her. “So, a bottom of the line white?” Tucker asked.
Danny gasped, “And here I thought Sam wasn’t like those, quote, ‘basic bitches’.”  The boys cackled as Sam shrugged Tucker’s arm off with a huff.
“First – I called them shallow.  Second, I would at least spring for a black lining.  If I can’t convince you two to go goth in life, I’ll have to make it happen in death.”  Sam held her head up in mock snootiness before side eyeing Danny and laughing at his grimace.  They made it to the park walking past the people walking dogs and others playing with young kids to the far end.  The trees started to get dense and the park area slowly transitioned into proper woods.  They could hear birds quieting down as they pushed aside branches and went through some bushes.  A slight breeze pushed through their group as they came upon the dry creek.  Stepping on the large stones in the creek bed, they made their way across to a fallen tree on the other side.  Tucker and Danny let out twin groans of relief at being able to plop down.  Sam made a face at their antics and took the seat in between them.
“So,” Sam started.  She refused to look at either one.
The chirping of the birds started up again.  Danny shifted his foot around at the dirt under his shoe, looking up at the sky.  Tucker took off his glasses to clean them off on his shirt.  After putting them back on, Tucker raised an eyebrow, “So?”
Sam laughed sheepishly, “I forgot.”
“What?!” Danny blurted out, taking his eyes off the clouds to look at her.
“Yea! What?! You’re the one who wanted to take us out here today!” Tucker added on.
“We could be at home playing DOOMED, ignoring our homework, instead of out here, tired, overheated, and ignoring our homework,” Danny said.
“That’s it then, I guess I’ll have to take out my homework and have you help me.”  Tucker paused hopefully.  “Unless you suddenly remember?”
Sam furrowed her eyebrows, looking down, “No.  Let’s do our homework.”  She unzipped her spider backpack to pull out her binder.
Danny looked behind Sam’s back at Tucker mouthing, “Are you serious?!?”
Tucker widened his eyes, shrugging and shaking his head towards Sam, “Sorry?!?!”.
Sam sat up with her binder and pencil, cutting their silent back and forth short.  “Alright.  Is it going to be English or History?"  She looked at Tucker, down at his untouched backpack, and then back up.  “Seriously?”  A signature Sam frown was gifted upon him.  “You were the one to suggest this.  Hurry up.  As soon as I’m done, I’m leaving you two behind in the woods.”  At the thought of having to walk back by themselves, Danny and Tucker scrambled to get their backpacks open and homework out.  Sam smiled a little.  As much as she loved these moments, she was already mourning their end.

Now I'm curious (because I see this 100% happening at least ONCE within the world I'm writing and I think it's hilarious)--
Imagine you're a worshipper of this one amazing goddess who can do no wrong, helps and has helped a lot of people. Then, one day, you're living your life and you meet this one guy. He's absolutely covered in scars, looks like he grew up in some kind of penitentiary. And he's buff. Like, seriously buff. Built like a horse.
He introduces himself.
He shares his name with one of your goddess's old angels. This one guy used to be one of her top guys, one of her most powerful attendants... up until the day he attacked her.
Then he was cursed and cast down for his crimes.
"Ha," you say, half out of awkwardness and half to fill the air while you figure out what to say. "That was real cruel of your parents, huh? Naming you after that guy."
The man sighs heavily, face twitching.
"No," he says, barely restraining his rage, "that's me."
What do you do?
@honeybewrites (also would love to know this answer from anyone else, haha)

Genuinely so funny to me that there are apparently people on twitter complaining that Oscar "if I get team orders I'll listen" Piastri didn't just hand Lando extra points and are saying he's not a team player because he what?? Didn't get team orders??

🎭 #torokatober2024 day 15/31: trigger 🎻
Quatre wakes up with a start when his alarm clock rings.
He jumps with a gasp when an urgent hand grabs him.
“Sorry,” Trowa groans, sitting up after him, rubbing an eye. “You’re not normally awake this early, so I was surprised…”
Quatre apologizes with a smile. “It’s a holiday, so I wanted to try and make breakfast for you.”
Trowa stares at him with bleary eyes, then tosses their shared quilt aside. “Then I better go with you.”
“Why?”
“You can’t boil an egg without—”
Quatre smothers him with a pillow before he hears the rest of the truth.

On the hill above the Priory, Divine Crusader Lorinda Rue sits, hugging her knees, as twilight settles a shroud around her shoulders. Three of her knights gone. Her brothers, her comrades. Her friends. She repeats their names: Sir Areldur, Sir Brellin, Sir Geimund. Lorinda presses a face already puffy and eyes already red-rimmed into her knees. Dead, because she wasn't fast enough. Wasn't strong enough. Wasn't leader enough. They knew the risks, whispers a part of her. Did they? Did they? Brellin was so young-! Areldur, for all his faults, so pious and trusting. And Geimund, so skilled, looking for orders…
Lorinda had tried to say a few words about them. Standing over their freshly turned graves, the remaining knights and the new recruits clustered, expectant. But words had failed her; only a sob made it out. She fled. Mercifully no one had followed. Sir Thedret had been so excited on her return – stumbling, confused from the Undercroft. Had named her Divine Crusader to the other's cheers. Then she had learnt of their losses. Divine fuckup, another part of her whispers. Crusader of folly. Her hands ball into fists. No leader, she. This must not happen again. Never again.
–––
The Black Arrow stumbles from the bloodworks. The Basin of Renewal may have healed her physical hurts, but it does nothing for the hollowness of her 'victory' against the Grey Prince. The Raiment of Valor hangs heavy on her shoulders, Matron Andronicus's victory lap making it feel more like a millstone than a trophy. She wants nothing more than to go down to the lakeshore behind her house and strip it off, diving deep into the precious waters. A squeal sounds, somewhere behind her, to the right. Footsteps converge on her location. She reaches for an arrow, spinning– – to find a boy, yellow haired and dressed in green, bouncing on the balls of his feet. "By Azura, by Azura, by Azura!" he squeals, hands bunched by his chest, and looking fit to burst. "It's the Grand Champion! I can't believe it's you! Standing here! Next to me!" The Black Arrow drives her ammunition back into its quarrel. "What do you want?" The boy has a book and stick of graphite. If he just wants a signature… She thinks she could deal with that. "I saw your fight against the Gray Prince! You're the best! Can I…" He suddenly goes shy. "You want an autograph? Sure." "No! Well, I mean, yes, but…" "Spit it out." "Can I follow you around? I won't get in the way, I promise." Her head spins. "What?" "I could– Carry your weapon. Or shine your boots. Announce you to your enemies. Anything you need!" The boy is a bosmer, like Brellin. So young. Her guts churn. Never again. "Please? I just want to follow–" "No!" He stares at her with wide, shocked eyes. "Piss off!" she yells. He takes a step back, autograph book clutched like a shield. "I don't need some spineless, toadying little shit hanging around me." "Are…" His voice wavers, too much courage for his own good. "Are you sure?" "Fuck off. Go on, toerag, get gone!" He takes another step back. "But– I–" In a blur of movement, one of her arrows, with their special fletching, is nocked on her bowstring. Drawn back. Pointing at him. His trews darken at the crotch. "I said: Leave." He utters a wordless, fearful, anguished cry and flees. The Black Arrow relaxes her bowstring, replaces her arrow. Nausea fills her from head to toe. Crusader of folly. She grips at the deprecating moniker as hard as the bow in her bloodless hands. Never again.

watching the first 2 episodes of frieren last year shook me so bad i still can't get myself to continue it, but between what i remember of it and the nightmares episode of dungeon meshi i can't stop thinking about the ways laios would prepare marcille for his death. what would he leave behind to remind her that he (and by extension all the people she loved and who loved her) are still with her in spirit, even if not in body?

#gay characters written with a straight audience in mind are a thing im not denying that#like 95% of one-off queer storylines in the early 2000s were just#''hello i am a gay. i have just enough personality to pass as human in the eyes of the audience.#now let me explain why you should treat me like a person''#but my god have people taken this phrase and run all the way into hell with it#if i see one more person saying heartstopper is for straight people im gonna start biting throats out#it was created by a queer person first of all#and second of all they did not write an entire subplot about there being no age limit on discovering who you are#for STRAIGHT PEOPLE#that wasn't for them!! it was for all the people in their 30s who watched the first season#and cried their eyes out because they were seeing all the things they never got to have#im so tired yall#i stg any queer media that's even remotely lighthearted or optimistic#is immediately called ''sanitized'' or rejected as some fantasy aimed at straight ppl who dont want to deal with harsh realities#when that just isnt fair at all#also side note the post i saw that prompted me to make this also put ''pretty much all queer media made in asia'' on the list#of queer media for straights#which. feels racist.#i really dont have much of a frame of reference for queer anime/kdramas/cdramas etc. but the generalization feels sketchy#idk man i feel like there's a certain segment of the community who will just say anything they dont like is not For Us#like just because it isn't for YOU doesnt meant no one in the community can relate to/enjoy it ffs

DND Characters!
Tumblr media
They are....
Autora, the cleric/sorcerer wooden elf; Leah, the fighter half elf; and Sofia, the artificer half elf.
About them (VERY LONG TEXT):
Autora!
She was kidnapped as a child and raised by an adventurer's guild. Them believing that elves were naturally gaslight the tiny Autora into beeing a devotee of Demeter... it worked and was blessed by her!
But the methods of making her a devotee were physical and mental abuse so she would seek refuge on the only thing she had available, scrolls of different gods, and she chose Demeter maybe because of her love of nature, or perhaps of the kind and motherly figure shown in the pictures.
Thankfully she got other kids to play with not long after becoming a cleric (The guild said that they wandered in randomly, so it might be a reward for becoming a devotee!) They were; Leah a younger half-elf trained to be fighter and his little infant sister Sofia, whom he always carried on his arms even tho she knew how to walk.
After gaining her cleric powers, the abused calmed down but she was trained endlessly in order for her to improve her healing powers, and even took her to a lot of missions where she lost an arm.
When she came back, Leah saw her state, and the fact she couldn´t even heal her wounds because she had no magic left in her. And decided it was enough, and took her and her sister away of that place.
At first, Autora was sad about leaving since the adventurers didn't have another medic, and "not all of them were bad...", but Leah said they had a mission and Leah never lied before...
This was all before and when she was 15.
When she was 16, Leah told her the truth about how this was never a mission and she understood.
When she was 18, Sofia made her an arm that allowed her to use mage hand in a way that simulated a true arm, not so strong but really helpful.
When she was 20, The whole team decided to build a home in a little town hidden between the mountains, where she became the medic, and once again started to use her magic until she passed out just to help.
And when she was 22, During an argument, Leah told her about how her cleric powers were planned from the start by the guild. Making her faith for Demeter break loosing her cleric powers.
Although she no longer was the town's cleric, and people were kind and understanding to her, she couldn't handle not longer having powers so went for a way to gain magic again anything at all, maybe she couldn't trust demetere anymore but... maybe another god? study it? anything.
Maybe in another life she would have become a warlord, but in this life, trying to find herself, the gods heard her cries one night lost in the forest and lead her to a lively village, that looked... oddly familiar.
It was her old home.
People knew instantly who she was and invited her to the village.
Her parent passed away, the elves didn't give her a lot of information, but some slip-ups led her to think that it wasn't murder nor natural causes, but their grief of their missing daughter after 10 years that lead to that outcome. She didn't mourn them, but she was sad about what it could have been...
The elders showed her the house where her parents used to reside, still filled with furniture since they didn't want to get rid of all before Autora came back first.
Autora spent a year in that town, reading the history of her family, meeting the villagers and family friends, discovering that her father was fond of clocks to the point he gain powers from them, and that her mother loved to tend the garden on her house and the village plaza.
As an exercise she fixed some clocks learning from the books her dad had... and after she fixed the last broken one in the house, she went to bed and woke up with clock hands in her eyes and a subtle shimmer on her skin... just like her father. She tended to the dead garden in her house and village, surprisingly easy as if she was naturally good with plants... maybe Demeter's gift was real, her mother did remind her of that old art she saw in the scrolls... After she put the last flower inside her mother's garden in a pot, and gave it to the elders, she felt a familiar wave of magic growing inside of her.
Then... and only them she mourned them, right in front of the elders, she cried for what it could have been, and the comfort they gave her even if they were not there anymore.
At age 24 she came back to the village where Leah and Sofia lived, and was welcomed with open arms and lots of tears from the siblings, and Leah apologizing for his harsh words, on his knees, although that was because Sofia kicked him harshly on the back of his knee.
They are good now
(The campaign where Autora was canceled so her story also is, she is now only an NPC)
Leah and Sofia
The half elf and his tiny sister were sold to an adventurer's guild for 10 gold coins by their parents when he was only 6 and she was 3.
It looked like their parents talked greatly about them; about how Leah was extremely agile and passionate on fighting even having a preference for shielding and strategy, and how Sofía was extremely pretty, fully aware of it and using it on her advantage, also weirdly interested on breaking and fixing all her toys.
The adventurers welcomed them kindly, they talked about how it's great to have more kids in the team, that the only kid in their guild would be happy to have play mates.
They introduced them to Autora, and she was really nice and energetic, Sofia automatically warmed to her so Leah also did, not wanting to ruin her sister having another girl friend.
Leah thought training with the adventurers was a lot of fun, and Sofía was allowed to read any books they had, which was limited to only magic books, he always thought that it was because some adventurers wanted to become wizards...
That was until he was 12, and heard the drunkards talking about the methods they used to make Autora a Cleric, and realized that if they had scrolls that Sofía hadn't read... it possibly meant they were trying to lead his sister to also be a magic user.
When he was 13, Autora came back without an arm. And told her and Sofia that they were assigned a mission after her wound has treated.
They traveled throughout the forest, to the city and met sailors that took them far away.
When he was 14 he told the girls the truth, Autora took it well, and Sofia already knew... even the plan of the guild to make her a wizard. She wasn't one to do what people wanted her to do, so she used the spells as creativity for inventions she worked on in secret. Tiny confetti bombs inspired of a spell that made a strong noise, a hand that extended like a jack in a box that was controlled by strings, and other amazing stuff.
When Sofía was 13, she completed her greatest invention! A hand for Autora, the girl that taught her Elven language and showed her support on her genius.
By age 14 and 17, after travelling on multiple boats, they bought their own, and sailed far away completing missions, haunting animals and fishing to sell and fixing other people's boats to make money... although they never told Autora about it, wanting Autora to just enjoy freedom.
When they were 15 and 18 they went to a beautiful village hidden in the mountains, with a river to the open sea for them to continue adventuring if they wanted, nice people, and lots of artificers and fighters. The whole team decided that it was time to settle!
And everything went great until the people in town became... weird about the team cleric. People talked about Autora as an angel fallen from heave itself, kind, motherly, strong and with an innocent beauty... and those wonderful words put pressure on the girl.
Autora started working extra hard, using all her magic on fixing even the tiniest migraine for the town's people. Sofía started to study medicine so she could help people too and perhaps lessen her burden... but people wanted Autora's "blessing".
And after a few years Leah was tired of Autora's healing magic, the fact that people talked about it as a blessing when it was all a sham, and how even Sofía always told him to not tell her about the plan of their old guild.
But he didn't hear, and when Autora told him to stop being mean to the people that came for her aid... he screamed at Autora about being gullable and childish, about how she has nothing other than her magic which was planned from the start.
Sofía tried to stop him, but he couldn't stop and only stopped after a punch in the face by his sister.
He left the house with Sofía and got scolded. Leah didn't completely understand people's feelings but Sofía did, Sofía knew how to deal and understand people, she always understood that Autoras WAS raised to be a Cleric and nothing other than a Cleric, Autora wasn't raised to say no, to defend herself, to be selfish, and for Sofía this whole travel was to help her find herself... and at the start Leah thought the same, but it might have forgotten along the way.
Leah slept on the boat that day, Sofía told him to think about what he said and to apologize when he calmed down....
The next day Autora had no powers.
The next week Autora was nowhere to be seen.
And for the next 2 week Sofia and Leah didn't talk.
Sofía was happy... kind of... and Leah couldn't understand why, their best friend disapeared and she was calm, Autora could have been kidnapped! But he assumed that maybe Sofía knew something he didn't.
She did. In the room she shared with Autora, she left a card before leaving, explaining how "even if people were kind to her, she indeed was nothing without her magic, and she didn't want to just be sad for an indefinite amount of time, she was going to get magic again" and Sofía knew Leah wouldn't like that.
He was pure muscles and although he was clever, it was only for fighting, introspection, "finding one selves" was dumb for him, and considering how over protective he was, Sofia knew he would search for their friend, not realizing that it was the first time Autora took a decisions for herself, and she didn't left with nothing, she took weapons, food, potions, one of their maps and, to Sofia's pleasure, her own money AND Leah's share, definitely as revenge since because of his mouth she lost her magic and Sofía couldn't be prouder.
Sofía told her brother to get over Autora, that she will come back, and to do something else, "stop moping" she said.
And a very offended Leah decided to go on a trip... specifically to their old adventurer's guild. While Sofía stayed on the town waiting for Autora in case something happened.
The siblings talked a lot about one regret they had... not burning that place to the ground. And since Leah didn't have anything to do, might as well do it now.
It took about half a year to reach their old home, could have been less if he had realized sooner that his coin pouch didn't have coins but instead a lot of bombs... his sister definitely knew what he was going to do... he would have liked that she left her money tho. So he had to take some jobs along the way.
Sadly, when he reached the building, it was empty, asking in the town people told him how the adventurer's recently tried to kidnap the daughter of a noble high elf, and after her bodyguard saved her, he took it upon himself to kill majority of the guild.
Leah still burn the building but it wasn't the same, he wanted some revenge, and some point of his life he wanted to be strong so he could kill all of those bastards and now he felt kind of... lost...
He imagined that Autora felt the same.
He imagined that Sofía perhaps knew about how he wouldn't get revenge.
And she did, she had known for a time that the guild was dead, after a conversation in a bar with one of the guilds survivors that was drunk and didn't realized it was the little girl the bought a while ago.
Not only that, but she gave them the idea of kidnapping the young elf noble. She recognized some of the stupident guild members a day she was at the bar with Autora, they were probably adventuring, so she started a conversation with her absolutely wasted friend about how "High elfs supposedly had powerful magic" and how she "met a pretty noble but she was also pretty dumb and got her to buy her some expensive jewels with the story that "they were stolen from her family", she even followed her to an alley without any issue!", all of that was complete lie, the only thing she knew is that high elf had a very blood thirsty bodyguard that was absolutely enamored with his client and wanted to see if they would bait.
She didn't expect the bodyguard to start a massacre but she guesses that kidnapping his beloved was a big deal.
Neither Leah or Autora know about all this of course.
And she didn't told her brother even after he came back from his trip.
Things were a little awkward when Leah came back, the town never really liked him, there were no news of Autora yet and his sister was still hold a tiny grudge about him hurting Autora's feelings. Still, they sat down and he told her about the adventure, about the missions he had to take and how it gave him some nostalgia to go back to the adventurer's life, and what happened to the guild. His sister heard the whole story attentively, even the parts she knew, and the air became a little easier to breathe.
Her plan was to make his brother go on a useless trip, she didn't expect him to actually miss the adventuring they used to have.
For Sofía their adventure was to help her friend and to learn, If Autora didn't need her anymore, she still wanted to learn about becoming a better artificer.
For Leah this trip was simply to run and to find a home, he didn't expect that his home was just going to be the thrill of adventure more than a place.
Learning this was soothing...
Waiting for Autora to come back Leah started to take adventuring missions instead of just bodyguarding, and months later Autora came back, changed and so much happier.
She was welcomed with tears, hugs and a kneeling Leah begging for forgiveness on his knees, although the "on his knees" part was because Sofia kicked him on the back of them.
And things were good again.
Changed, since Leah and Sofia decided they wanted to travel again, and Autora wanted to move back to an elven village she found in the forest and make a home there.
It was going to be the first time they were going to be apart and surprisingly it wasn't as scary as the idea seemed before, when they were younger.
(Now, Leah is in one campaigned, he was teletransported to another world where they HATE magic, and he no longer shares that sentiment... and has a kind of romantic interest? there's a hot druid drow that is very intelligent and pretty dry like him.
Sofia is in another campaign that just started, for now she just started a fight in a bar, and is investigating what it seems to be a Mafia???)

People Who Understand Without Words.
Type: Skit. Character: Stahn (First Skit). Characters Featured: Stahn, Yuri, Repede.
Translation, recording, subbing by Shi. Proofread by Yewfelle.
#Tales of the Rays#Stahn Aileron#Yuri Lowell#Repede (Vesperia)#Tales of Destiny#Tales of Vesperia#Type: Skit#Tales of the Rays Translations#Translation notes: The line where Yuri speaks about people not understanding each other is possibly#meant to be spoken under his breath or like a mumble (the font size in the coding is usually set at a default#but there's a font size change indicated in the coding and with the context leads me to believe#this was meant to be more of a mumble... but even in the original JP text the font size change didn't work.#Could be a typo or broken coding/coding that didn't work since usually font sizes do shrink as coded)#Additionally Chelsea in Stahn's story here refers to the tree as ''tree-san'' which I went back and forth on including#but settled on Mister Tree instead since I'd rather save JP honorifics for usage that's really difficult or impossible to avoid#(such as instances that have direct and immediate conversation about them or play a deep role in the relationship/interaction).#Last part of the skit I wasn't quite sure how else to word it in a compact way the way Yuri's saying it#without spelling it out which Yuri purposely doesn't do (basically he's calling Stahn pure bc he's realized Stahn's the type of guy to just#immediately believe any story he's told (even if it's outlandish). he's saying Stahn is honest/pure/too kind for his own good.#The bare sentence is just “that you're pure” so I had to mess around a tiny bit with wording structure to get it across and not have it be#bland/flat/awkward sounding.#I have another tl note that won't fit in the tags so it will have its own post!

So many projects I want to work on, so much planning to do for fun trips, so much holiday fun imminent, and not enough time
#definitely was spooky#like. i have all of the things to do that i was putting off bc deadlines but now that i have time it's just been a lot of decision paralysi#is that the name for it? idk.#but like. wanna rewrite the dragon's tears for totkau wanna finish the last ones wanna finish my notes for the story wanna write the END#wanna make a post about my splatoon saf cast properly so i can start just making posts whenever i think about their rehearsals#wanna finish my midi arrangement.#< that's a big one and i'm really feeling that rn.#seeing smy doing such cool stuff learning to draw is making me want to keep learning that skill and finish that arrangement#gonna have to move it to different software probably for the better string samples#just kinda daunting. perhaps my first midi project in five years shouldn't have also been my first orchestral arrangement#especially when i did little to no music making in that time#i wasn't gonna talk abt it on tumblr but sack it if you read this far i'm telling you#it's tricky because it's an arrangement of melodies from saf in the style of a very specific piece of music from the end of totk#so trying to make those styles go together is probably a task better suited to someone with FAR more experience.#not to someone doing his first arrangement of someone else's music.#also need/want to plan a lot of stuff for cosplays which is also daunting bc i have done cosplay in public a grand total of two (2) times#only one of which was meant to be seen by other fans. so.#i wanna start making bracelets for icbiballtay too. need more s beads though lol#and i haven't even mentioned getting started on my next assignments gfkgshkgsk#anyway i should stop running my mouth online but also hi

Stay: Chapter Four (Paranoia)
Tumblr media
Explicit (Slowburn) Lawlight with background Beymane & Meronia Read on AO3 Contains: Depictions of mental illness, including suicide and self-harm; please see fic notes for more detail. Also this is set in Canada. The only thing that makes life bearable for Light Yagami is the Kpop idol Beyond Birthday. When he meets his nemesis, the equally devoted fan L, his world begins to open up. In this chapter: Light spends the night alone. It’s not as if he isn’t tired. He’s done so little today but it feels like he’s been walking for days, the inside whittled out of him then filled up with an ugly rot. His skin prickles and his eyes hurt. He is sure he could cry for hours if he let himself. Thank you so so much to my partner in crime @lightyaoigami <3
