The 2025 Fan Crafts Bazaar is now open!

We don't allow physical fanworks in the main auction for a variety of reasons, so to accommodate these we started the FTH Fan Crafts Bazaar.

This year the Bazaar is a record size, with 28 crafters offering a wide variety of crafts in dozens of fandoms (and plenty who will create for any fandom you like).

Every crafter has set up their own stall with their own policies - some are offering custom-made creations while some are ready to ship; some are holding their own auctions while some items have a set price. So be sure to read the details carefully!

The Bazaar will stay open until March 10, so if you don't win the auctions you have your eye on in the main event, head back over there to find other places to direct your donations toward! (But some may be ending their auctions earlier than the 10th, while others may run out of ready-made stock before then, so check those details.)

We'll also continue to add stalls as they come in over the next couple of days, so be sure to check again in a few days to see what's been added - and if you're a crafter who hasn't had a chance to sign up, you still can!

Problem tags!

We are NOT the use case Dreamwidth was designed for, shockingly enough, and so we keep finding new bugs that we're not sure many other people have ever run into before.

This time, it looks like if a tag has over 500 posts in it, the posts beyond the most recent 500 (ish) do not appear in the tag. We are currently trying to figure out a workaround and/or get in touch with DW support about it, but until then, if your post is not showing up in one of these tags, please do NOT fill out an edit form to report it to us:

audience: 18+ audience: all ages fanwork: written fanwork: written: fanfiction rating: e special: aro/ace characters special: f/f special: gen/platonic works special: poly special: rarepairs special: trans/nonbinary interpretations

Any other tags, it's probably a known timestamp bug that we can fix, so go ahead and report it via the "Other" option in the edit form.

Boost your fandom's FTH offerings!

As you may have seen, browsing period for FTH 2025 is officially open.

That means (among other things) that this is the perfect time to pull together a list of offerings that might be of interest to your fandom friends! You can narrow down the offerings list (which you'll want to do -- we have around 1,650 of them!) using our tags page, and then put together a curated list here on tumblr.

Ideas for curated lists:

all of the offerings in your fandom (if it's on the small side)

all of the offerings for a particular ship

all of the podfic offers in your fandom

all of the f/f offerings for a cluster of related fandoms

But these are just some ideas; you know best what kinds of lists are happy to catch the interest of people in your fandoms. We're happy to reblog those curated lists; just tag us when you post them!

Bidding opens on Feb 25th at 8am ET. We'll keep reblogging those lists until the last day of bidding, Saturday March 2nd.

The easiest way to find what you’re looking for is our tags page - use ctrl/command-F (or Find In Page in your mobile browser’s menu) to find the fandom or username you’re looking for, or feel free to scroll and browse through our 600+ fandoms!

If you’re a creator, you should have an email with the link you’ll need to submit edits. If you haven’t gotten one (remember to check Spam and Promotions folders!), email us ASAP.

Bidding starts February 25 at 8am and closes March 1 at 8pm.

So I had a hysterectomy today (hooray!) and I brought along my stuffed orca, Shamu, as a comfort object. And everyone i interacted with during my pre-op was like "Oh! Who's this?" so I was telling them all about him, how he's been with me since I was 9 and gone on every single vacation and road trip, and they were telling me about their own stuffed buddies (one lady said she still has hers after 40 years!) and all of this while I was signing consent forms and providing a list of the things I'd brought with me, you know, small talk.

So then a nurse comes over and goes "Okay, I've got some stickers I'll put on your things so we know they're yours" and I'm like "OK cool" so she puts a sticker on my coat and stickers on my bags of clothes and then she turns to Shamu and I'm like "oh I guess he gets a sticker too"

But no. She pulls out a hospital bracelet that's an exact copy of mine and slaps it on his tail, like so:

And i was delighted by this, so I took a picture to send to my friends, who were equally delighted, and were cracking me up with their reactions (like so:)

Anyway, they take me back and put me under, and when I awake groggily a few hours later it takes me a minute to get my bearings, so I don't notice Shamu at first. But then I realize he's tucked up next to me in the gurney, so I grab him, and my hand touches gauze.

And I'm like "huh?" so I look at him and I realize

They gave my fucking orca a hysterectomy

Hey folks! We're hearing some concern from some eager beavers who figured out the link to the offerings page and are worried because they didn't see their offerings listed.

We are not done tagging auction posts! Please don't panic if yours is not there yet!

We are currently working through getting everything tagged and shaking out any bugs before we go live. If you do find your post and notice something incorrect, please don't email us about it yet!

We are in the process of emailing people the edit link as we get their auctions posted. If you have not received an email yet, please sit tight!

If you have more than one auction, you may be later on the list, as we won't email you until we have all of your auctions posted and tagged.
