I never really thought of what Edwin's hypothetical life it he hadn't been murdered would have been like. My reason for this is that he absolutely would have been drafted in WW1, and if he miraculously survived he was 100% going to end up in prison. But, now I'm thinking -

If Edwin miraculously wan't drafted or survived the trenches, I personally like to think that maybe he would have moved to France or Italy. I agree with George that he would have become estranged from his family eventually (my headcanons for his family seem to match up well with George's.) This would have made it easier for him to build a new life outside of England. Homosexuality was legal in France and Italy (hence why I selected them - Edwin's no idiot, and he's kind of an anxious person, so I think he's feel less anxious and safer there.)

He could, like George said, study literature and write his books there. And I think he could also be a professor or a cartographer, writing nonfiction about his experiences. And sometimes he would write detective novels too, by the Italian coast. Maybe in Naples or something. And one day he can get a partner and have someone to spend his days with and he could have his little books.

I don't know, I never thought that he could have had a good life before in the best of cases. He had a family that didn't care if he went missing, he had no friends, and he was transparently gay enough to get persecuted. But I am so honestly hopeful to think maybe he could have had a real life, because maybe our queer ancestors could have had happy lives.

I'm gonna be a little bitch for a second GOD it's so so so fucking exhausting being a non USAmerican online. Like. Jesus fucking christ the levels of defaultism are just,,,, god. The 'default' audience for every post is Americans. American pop culture is universal obviously, and god forbid you bring up a show from your own country because no ones ever watched that! The millions of kids in your country don't count clearly. When American places are mentioned it's always Town, State, Country, but when anywhere else is mentioned you're lucky to get State, Country, or the closest major city if you're really lucky. Fahrenheit and MM/DD/YY and American spellings dominate even though they're the only country that uses them. People constantly talk about how x and y 'breaks the law'. They mean American laws, because those are obviously universal. American news and American politics are everywhere. You *have* to care about this. If you don't, you're a monster. The only time my country makes it is when we're literally burning to the ground, and even then they don't even touch the political side of things. Even international incidents somehow get brought back to America - call your representative (I dont have one). Go to these protests (they're on the other side of the world). Sign this petition (it's for US residents only). Im going to go insane.

The results of students when they are taught by anyone in the fsm family is hilarious.

The Fsm, Wu’s, and Lloyd’s first students were all good kids who turned evil (Nineko(?)/Garmadon, Morro, and Arin)

But Garmadon’s first student/protege, Harumi, WAS EVIL AND THEN SWITCHED UP???

It’s so funny to me they never get what they want why are they all such bad teachers.

It’s like that whole ‘first child is the test child’ stuff. They each did their worst when trying to do their best to each of their first students.

And somehow all of them (minus Nineko, and for now Arin) went good again after having some sort of realisation or literally couldn’t give a damn anymore

Edit: and each of the second students did better than just great, Wu, Cole, and Sora. They all perfectly mirror the first students of their sensei perfectly.
