hi! it's about to be seven years since i watched my first bl and entered the fandom! so yes, a while hfkdjfkdkkd that said, mewgulf is out of my area of expertise. i've always hated tharntype, so i never got into the actors. it seemed explosive even from where i was standing, but i don't know any details, sorry.

a horrific and unintended consequence of reading the arcarm novel is that i developed an understanding of jittirain's writing that is too deep for my liking. she is looming over my shoulder like a devil and i - like a warlock, tricked into a pact, now stuck with their master's voice, loud in their head - don't even need to read the source material to know what changes were made in the series and just how awful said source material was. i can imagine those changes with such precision and in such detail that it could be considered a superpower if it wasn't so useless. and i hate it. because the changes are always for the best, and i never wished to be burdened with the knowledge of the horrors that required the changes.

#at this point i have no idea what vice versa is about

the two main characters switch bodies with two other characters from a different universe and they have to find a way to get back to their own universe (thus also going back into their own bodies). in the context of this post specifically, it means that we get introduced to jimmy and sea in the original universe and then they switch bodies with nanon and ohm, remaining in them for almost the entirety of the show, while they are stuck in a different universe. but the show takes a "soul's appearance" approach for the audience, meaning that we see jimmy and sea, even though they are technically in nanon and ohm's bodies and that's how all characters see them.

i will also say that vice versa is the funniest thing anyone could have ever done to ohmnanon stans. like, objectively speaking, we all understand why they took the "soul's appearance" approach. but, technically speaking, the characters do NOT look like jimmy and sea for the majority of the show. they look like ohm and nanon. to everyone in-universe. but not to the audience. it cracks me up fr.

i'm jealous of jimmy though. like what do you mean you were studying medicine AND doing gay side quests? i was studying linguistics and didn't even have time to do gay side quests. how did you have time while going to fucking med school? starting a conspiracy theory that he can stop time. or time travel. or something.
