When it comes to Eorzean holidays A'nijah himself loves Moonfaire Faire a lot. But he also holds a special place in his heart for Little Ladies' Day.

Spring is his favourite season and seeing a festival held in during it, and all filled with blossoms is lovely. Oh and he also likes playing a role of a steadfast older brother or a fine gentelman during it way too much.

Some years ago he also got personally invested in his role during it, when he had to talk with kids at the hospital. He used to be a very sickly child. So uplifting someone in the similar situation felt a very personal. He carries this experience wiru him since hence having warm associations with this holiday.

I must also add that he celebrates Solstice festivals (beware of my A tribe headcanons). Both winter and Summer ones. In their essence they are celebrations of life death and rebirth and tied to the flame of Azeyma. And fire (usualy a giant firepit) usually held through the whole night of the celebration. Big feast within the tribe is a must during this time, same as traditional dances and some divinations.

Albeit he rarely visits his tribe since he started to travel he has to whip up something on his own. Much less grand.

A'nijah is as likely to buy a present as he's to make it. He isn't stingy with money so he usually buys expensive gifts and typically switches between gifting something symbolic or something practical. That said thougtfulness will vary depending on how close he is to the recipient.

19. Okay, I really need to know. Which of the 12 zodiac animals does your OC relate to the most?

A'nijah himself is a Goat(Sheep) since I gave him an actual birth year a while back (which is 1559) and immediately had to check to which Zodiac it would correspond with. And to be honest It fits very well! I can see it for him.

At his best he's resilient and caring. Very compassionate and genuinely enjoys helping others, but tends to put their needs above his own. At his worst he might slip into outright people's pleasing. And as if to contrast it, his resilience may turn into a completely unyelding and frustrating stuborness. You cannot possibly get something through his head when he gets this way. But thankfully most times all of these traits mix rather nicely achieving a certain shaky but harmonious balance.

But as for if he's lucky or unlucky... well. Lots of things happened but he's still alive, isn't he? ✌️

How have I seen zero people so far talk about the Admin flashback section that was actually by far the best part of the comic. Like I have qualms with how they handled the ending bit but for now I don't care nearly as much as this triple course beautiful flashback scene that's gorgeously illustrated and wonderfully paced and written I am in love. I am beyond thrilled to see them take this direction with the Admin's character

as devastating as it was to see a bunch of creative remarks and asks go down the drain - let's be real, i won't have time to answer them with how linear the story is becoming for ease of access [goodbye 500 asks... though kacey took screenshots of drawings you guys sent in our inbox!!!]

hooowever, there's also another key reason we had to clear the inbox

very long and convoluted psa/ramble about this matter ahead! but also slightly important and i encourage you to read it if you think about using agdt's inbox as a way to vent or share things about your irl troubles

some people treat the blog's inbox as a venting area

it doesn't really make me uncomfortable, it's just something i prefer not seeing. i don't like sharing or being shared personal information especially from an anon or a stranger

this doesn't go for just agdt - it goes for all blogs you interact with: please don't make yourself vulnerable to a stranger on the internet. you are putting yourself in a dangerous spot.

if you need escapism or help, turn to a professional or someone close - going to a stranger can go horribly wrong in two ways: you make them uncomfortable and subject them to a responsibility they never signed up for, or you let someone use your vulnerabilities and personal information against you.

i can probably count like 100 or so asks of people sharing something overly personal and asking for comfort. i don't hate it, i'm not mad, i'm just worried and i hope the people who send them become aware that they should not send those asks knowing that if they're answered, they could be answered publicly with everyone and their mama being able to see that vulnerable moment in that ask.

can't exactly ignore them when it's been almost a year of young impressionable users over sharing to a stranger who answers asks publicly [along with the fact that i hardly see people talk about this matter when it comes to rp/ask blogs.] also so they don't do this to another askblog that has another impressionable youngin running it and publicizes asks that contain personal life info.

we don't add rules to asks on agdt because we can pick and choose which ones we answer. a set of rules isn't going to stop an asshole from breaking them so i'm not wasting my time trying to enforce one. and that's not what i'm trying to do in this post either. i'm putting this out there because i don't want people making the irrational decision of making their life and weakest moments accessible to people who want to use it against them.

i'm not trying to make a big deal out of this either. i can just skip or delete asks that i know i shouldn't answer or won't be able to. but that's my side of responsibility as someone with a platform. i want to make it clear that the audience that decides to interact with these kinds of blogs should be aware that just because you're behind a screen and concealed by an internet persona, that doesn't mean you're any safer from other people using your vulnerabilities against you.

I am admittedly behind on all podcasts for a number of reasons and that's unlikely to change though I plan on doing a bit of a binge this weekend, but I'm talking about Actual Play crit and journalism in the group chat and it never ceases to be wild to me that NADDPod has a solid following and fandom but is virtually unremarked upon in like, AP journalism or discussion despite being I think one of the most consistent shows in terms of quality. And, if I'm being really honest it's because Murph isn't showy and can't do accents well and is an adequate but not brilliant actor, but the thing is, he's one of the strongest writers among AP DMs and that's really undervalued. (Emily is also, while not usually the DM, also a good writer and that's also not something that comes up.)

as much as I love batgirl 2024, I have to admit the lack of Barbara Gordon mentions in the whole series so far, especially with the first arc having such a big theme of motherhood/daughterhood and the things that comes with it, makes me soo sad. Barbara was the first person Cass actually considered as a mother! Barbara, although she wasn’t the best at it at first, truly did try to understand and love Cass unconditionally even when she was separated from the Bat mantle! And that panel where Cass overhears Barbara tell Dick that she doesn’t know how to really care for Cass could’ve been the perfect parallel to the whole “is a Mother just being connected by blood? No, Something more is owed/Being a daughter is more than being connected by blood” lines that Cass says in the last (current) issue because Barbara, though she did not physically bring Cass into this world, has sacrificed SO much for her, and in return Cass gave so much back.

i hate when ned gets dragged into this “second brothers who have a complex” thing esp when it’s a “well ALL the houses have this problem” ned doesn’t actually!!!! ned shows us no jealousy over brandon being heir to winterfell, what ned shows is a very obvious and deep seated discomfort with the fact that his brother was brutally violently murdered and next thing ned knows he has his brother’s job, his brother’s house, and his brother’s wife!!! that feels a little different to me, don’t insult my man here by comparing him to your floppy ass second sons who are mad they’re gonna get the world handed to them but their brother gets slightly more handed to him!!!!
