Gotta say I find how McLaren handles their different teams video output for their two main series fascinating.

Like, here’s the constructor’s F1 lads, in a nice McLaren space to play Pictionary and just having a natter.

Meanwhile here are their IndyCar boys on a fake beach by the track, two of them blindfolded and another where they’re in liminal space.

And I know what you’re thinking, why are we comparing twitter videos to YouTube videos. The IndyCar team does have its own YouTube channel, one that it inherited from the Schmidt Peterson Motorsport days (in fact if you search from oldest you’ll see that videos from those days are still there). It just hasn’t been updated in well a while.

Honestly, in the event of a collaboration between their driver (not like there’s two America races after the IndyCar season) if they don’t have Lando and Oscar in the motorhome while Pato and Theo are going feral in a fanzone and Alex just face palms as he’s forced to be the runner between the two groups then they’ve missed a trick.

Decades- Anger, Grief, and Forgiveness

Wednesday, after school

Isabelle and Teresa are on her bed, gossiping.

"Oh, Lizzie Peterson, pregnant. And, her beau has fled town because her father threatened him at gunpoint saying he had to marry her or he'd shoot him in his sleep."

"Gosh, a bastard? Elizabeth must be in such trouble."

"Yes, she's being pulled out of school, and-"

Theo pushed open the bedroom door. "Teesa?"

Teresa huffed. "What, Theodore?"

Theodore fiddled with his clothes. "I stay?' He asked, wondering if he could sit with Teresa and Isabelle for company.

"No! Go away Theodore." Teresa groaned, waving her hand sharply away from her.

"Sorry." Theo sighed in defeat, his R's turning into W's. He pulled open the large wooden door with his weak toddler hands, and after much struggle, waddled away.

Isabelle stayed silent until the door closed.

"You know..." She began hesitantly. "You don't have to be angry forever."

Teresa turned to her with a furrowed brow. "What."

"At your brother." Isabelle clarified.

Teresa looked frustrated. "I thought out of anyone, you would understand."

Isabelle shrugged. "I do, but I don't agree with you."

"What on earth do you mean? You dislike your brother for the same reason."

Isabelle roughly shook her head. "No! I love my brother. I was just mad at him when I was younger because I was grieving and confused, and a small child."

"So you think I should forgive Theodore for killing my mother." Teresa crossed her arms.

"Don't force yourself. Just consider that maybe, Theodore is a piece of your mother that you get to keep. I think that way about my brother, he is the only part of my mother I have left. Your mother was taken away from him, too. And I doubt that Katherine would ever want you to be so estranged from each other. Or your sisters, either. I know you don't think of them as family, but they are half of you. They'll be a part of you forever, whether you like it or not, so you might as well learn to love that fact now, and not grow up bitter."

Teresa sits silently, thinking, then quietly gets up, coming back in with Cordelia in her arms.

"She looks a bit like me, I think." She said, as Cordelia played with her fingers.

"Well, you are sisters, after all."

OKAY LETS TRY THIS AGAIN

Welcome To Ravenbrooks season 2 Theories before it comes out

Disclaimer uh- these are the ramblings of a mad man named Jack (me). Mainly so when it does eventually come out I can see what if anything I got right. Now lets get into it below the fold.

1. It's revealed that Jay Roth (Nicky's dad) is the one who died in Trinity's old house

We know in both the book and games and even the pilot, Nicky was the one living across from Mr. Peterson, but now it's Trinity's home. I think the grief of what happened in that house is why they moved

2. We'll get to see the rest of the Rescue Squad's parents

Pretty self-explanatory. I don't know what story purpose they'd serve exactly, aside from maybe how they react to their kids' shenanigans but it'd be really cool to see them. Especially Luanne Roth who I am currently head canoning to be neglectful in some manner (not necessarily on purpose) because of the lines about Nicky running away all the time and no one noticing he went missing.

3. We see a cultist in uniform

I think it'd be really interesting if specifically Trinity finds them mid ceremony or if bad things start happening to her family and she gets suspicious

4. The kids learn Mr. Peterson isn't "evil"

We know in the books that Theo is looking heavily into the cult, and he seems to be doing the same here. I think in Trinity's realization's she'll learn his real motivations for keeping them away, maybe even his side of the stories from episode 3

5. We learn what Trinity did

We have hints at what happened, obviously, but with the teaser image reusing the old photo of kid Trinity, l think we're going to learn what exactly happened and why it was so bad that they had to move towns

6. More nightmare sequences

From the hello neighbor franchise in general, we've learned that both Trinity and Nicky are prone to nightmares, and with the trauma they've gained from episode 6, I assume we'll get to see plenty other creepy cool nightmare scenes. (Seriously, just the maggots from episode 2 make me squirm physically when I see it. Every time)

7. Principle Abanante isn't dead

This might be clear to some, and yeah, it's far from the greatest stretch on this list but I think we'll see her again and maybe that she caused the school explosion

8. Delroy(and possibly Scout)'s investigations

I'm very curious about what Delroy was doing in the tunnels under the school, maybe doing his own investigations on the cult? Scout included to round out the Hello Neighbor hide and seek crew. Likely having to join forced with the current members of the rescue squad to stop a stronger force.

9. We see Theodore's brother in his "new form"

Not 100% sure if he became the Guest or the Thing, and I've seen good theories/evidence for both, but either way I think we'll get to see him with the knowledge that it's him.

10. We learn why Ivan acted the way he did in s1

He was more scared of just the mention of Peterson than anyone, and it's been bugging me since my first watch. I'd like to see if there's reason to his behavior or just general paranoia. Leaning towards the former, knowing this series.

11. Love triangle between Trinity, Nicky and Enzo

I'd really rather this doesn't happen. I hate love triangles so much. They're so dumb and useless and bad. But like I told kaydin during our third watch, I can feel it happening. It's breathing down my neck with the loud annoying sound of needless romantic tension.

12. The whole squad sits together at lunch

They escaped the basement together! The least they could do as friends is actually eat lunch together instead of Nicky and Trinity sitting seperate from everyone else

13. Nicky and Aaron's relationship is revealed

I'm really, REALLY hopeful that their friendship isn't retconned in the series. It was great motivation for Nicky to be investigating Mr. Peterson, and is also just generally sweet.

14. We see Aaron

Nicky was the basement for a couple of weeks. However, Aaron was in there for months! I'm eager to see how he is both mentally and physically. I feel like he's either gonna be much, much worse than Nicky or somehow way better.

15. Quentin becomes my favorite character

This is mostly on here as a joke. I'm not gonna lie, I know he'll be at least a favorite because he's my favorite Hello Neighbor game character. Like- the squeal I squealed when I saw his van and silly Hawaiian shirt was immense. I love him so much, and I hope he gets good screen time.

16. Nicky loses his bag

This is more just a- gut feeling? He's gained it as a sort of comfort item, it seems, and I feel like with the nature and badluck of Ravenbrooks, he's going to lose it. Bonus points if he has to choose between it or a member of the Rescue Squad

17. Mr. martaugh dies

Again, I have- no evidence for this. Yeah, he's in the teasers a lot, but like that doesn't imply he dies. Maybe I just really hope he dies because he's creepy /j, but yeah, uh- if it happens, I'll probably still be in shock even though it's on this list.

18. We see an on screen kiss

Tricky fans cross your fingers and pray, I know I will be. It'll probably just be a quick peck on the cheek, but I can just kind of feel it in my bones. Similar to the love triangle one.

And there you go! My predictions for Season 2!

As soon as it drops, you will probably see my reaction to it and a return to this list to see how close or far I was on these. (Spoiler tagged, of course) But until then, I will be patiently waiting, drawing, and rewatching the show too many times over (wonder if I can hit 50 watches before season 2 drops)

When We Were Once Happy: A Hello Neighbor Fanfic

Summary: A story before Trinity moved to Raven Brooks.

Chapter 11

Nicky excitedly packed his bag, he didn't even bother folding his clothes and just shoved them into his bag.

Tonight, he was going to have his first sleepover. Aaron, Mya, and Lucy would be there, and he was super excited.

As soon as he filled up his bag, he ran downstairs and practically slipped his shoes on.

"Hey, Narf! You excited for your big sleepover?", asked his father, not looking up from his newspaper.

Nicky nodded in excitement. "Extremely."

Nicky was about to head out the door, but before he could, he felt a hand on his shoulder, preventing him from leaving. He turned around to see his mother.

"You sure you got everything you need in your bag?", she asked.

"Yes, Mom."

"Alright then."

Nicky went to leave again, but the hand didn't leave his shoulder.

"Just remember to brush your teeth."

"I will."

"And say thank you."

"I will."

"And solve the mysteries of the universe.", his father called from the living room.

Luanne rolled her eyes and gave Nicky a kiss on his cheek, "Have fun, sweetheart.", and with that, she left.

But Nicky felt another hand on his shoulder, he groaned and turned around to see his grandmother. He just wanted nothing more than to get out the door and to the Peterson house.

"What is it, Bubba?"

"Where is this sleepover going to be?"

Nicky felt a knot tie in his stomach, as he suddenly remembered the promise he made to his grandmother about not going across the street because she told him it was a demon house. He had to think of a lie fast.

"Just a couple blocks away.", said Nicky.

Bubba looked him in the eye for a moment later, then she let him go and walked upstairs. And with that, Nicky ran out the door and across the street before anyone else could stop him.

The Peterson's house door was unlocked and opened ajar. He slowly peeked inside and nearly jumped out of his skin when Mrs. Peterson trodded into the main lobby, holding a bunch of folded blankets.

"Wow. I know I forgot to put on lipstick today, but just how frightening do I look?", she asked.

Nicky's face turned bright red. "No! It's not that! I mean, you don't look -! Ah!"

Mrs. Peterson tilted his head up to meet her gaze. "Nicky, I'm kidding. I have a light step. Would you like to help me with these?"

"Yes, ma'am."

The two made their way upstairs to Aaron's room, where Aaron, Lucy, and Mya were already pulling out board games.

"Nicky's here!", Lucy jumped up.

"Hi, guys.", said Nicky.

The kids helped Mrs. Peterson set up the blankets, and when they were done, she was getting ready to leave when Nicky said "Thank you, Mrs. Peterson."

Mrs. Peterson turned around to Nicky. "Hm? Oh, you can call me Diane, honey.", and with that, she left.

For some reason, Nicky didn't feel comfortable with calling a grown up by their first name. Like how Mr. Peterson lets him call him Theo, it just didn't feel right to him.

He turned to see the rest of the guys looking at him. "My mom said to use my manners."

"Cool.", said Aaron. "Who wants candy?", he asked.

"Candy!", Mya squealed.

"Candy!", Lucy squealed with her.

"What kind of candy?", asked Nicky.

Aaron went to his desk and pulled back a drawer. Once it was all the way out, he reached inside, really deep inside. Nicky was extremely confused. It wasn't until Aaron finally pulled out four candy bars that he finally looked inside the drawer.

There was a hole in the wall, the drawer had a false back. "Wow, Aaron. You really are an evil genius.", he mumbled.

"Here you go, girls.", said Aaron, handing Lucy and Mya their candy bars. Then he handed Nicky a candy bar.

"You ever had a Surviva Bar before?", he asked.

Nicky shook his head.

"Well today's your lucky day, because this is the best candy bar you'll ever have in your life."

Nicky took the bar and opened it, he gave it a little sniff. "Not too bad.", he thought, "But let's see what they taste like."

He bit into it and began chewing on it. It tasted kind of like a mix between chocolate and cabbage, and a bit of granola. As he swallowed, he told Aaron "It's okay, not the best bar I've ever had, but -"

Before he could finish, Aaron let out a long, juicy, stinky fart. The girls dropped to the floor and let out uncontrollable giggles, before they let it rip themselves, then those giggles became frantic laughter.

Nicky's jaw dropped in surprise, he did not expect that to happen. Before he could say anything, he let out a big stinky fart of his own. His face turned red again, and he immediately covered his butt.

"I changed my mind, this is the best bar I've ever had!", Nicky said, despite being super embarrassed.

"See? What'd I tell you?", Aaron said.

"Again! Again! Again!", Mya said in between giggles.

They all stuffed the rest of their bars in their mouths, and not even a minute later, they all let out more farts. Their butts were on class warfare.

Everyone's sides pinched from laughing so much, and they were all rolling around on the floor like beetles.

"Kids, dinner's ready! We're having - OH SWEET MARY! What is that smell?!"

They all turned around to see Mrs. Peterson, pinching her nose closed. Mya sat up, despite being so worn out from laughing so much.

"Sorry, mommy! We'll be down in a minute!", she said.

With that, she left the room, and the kids had to take a moment to gather themselves before going downstairs for dinner.

When they got done with dinner, they went back to Aaron's room and without warning, Lucy threw a pillow at Aaron and screamed "Pillow fight!"

The kids started playfully hitting each other with pillows, and everyone tried dodging the other's attacks. It was the best night of their lives.

About two hours later, the kids were exhausted from the pillow fight. They decided it was finally time to go to bed, so they put on their pajamas and crawled into their beds. Aaron and Mya on the bunk bed, and Lucy and Nicky in the sleeping bags. Mrs. Peterson came in and gave Aaron and Mya each a kiss.

"Goodnight, babies."

"Goodnight, Mom."

She turned to Lucy and Nicky, and gave each of them a kiss too.

"Goodnight, sweeties."

"Goodnight, Diane."

And with that, she left.

Nicky's face turned red once again, he looked like a tomato right now. Thank goodness the light was off so no one else could tell. It's not that Nicky didn't appreciate being hugged and kissed before going to sleep, it's just that she reminded him so much of his own mother it was nuts.

Nicky tried drifting off to sleep, but he was immediately startled out of it when he heard a bunch of cawing coming from outside. From the roof.

"Does anyone else hear that?", he asked.

"Oh we hear it alright.", Aaron replied.

"Don't worry, it's just a bunch of crows.", said Mya.

"They'll go away eventually.", Lucy said, already half asleep.

"I love crows.", said Mya. "They're so cute. They may be annoying, but they're all super nice as long as you're nice to them."

Nicky smiled at that, Mya was so adorable.

"Once, I found an injured crow on our lawn, and I begged Daddy to let us keep it until it could fly again. That's how I dubbed myself as the mother of the crows."

Aaron rolled his eyes. "Classic Mya Pariah.", he said.

"I heard that, Aaron!"

"I know."

"I told you to stop calling me that, you weirdo!"

"Mya Pariah eats farts and papaya!", Aaron sang as he teased his sister.

Lucy and Nicky laughed at their sibling banter, then Lucy turned to Nicky and said "Siblings. Sometimes you can't live without them, and sometimes you can't live with them."

Nicky nodded at that, and then he tried once again to try to get some sleep.

Who do you blame for the Peterson kids losing their Friendships?

1)Enzo and Maritza

2)Theo

3)Forest protectors

Well, I'd say the forest protectors mostly. They were the ones that killed Lucy (I read somewhere that they were supposed to kill Mya), which her death was the result of the damaged friendships.

Although, Aaron and Mya's friends at the time did turn on them and blamed them for the bad luck, so a little bit of the first and last option.

But mostly the last.
