Lol my dumbass meant to send the femboy twink ask to PlayChoices Confessions but eh doesn't matter, needed to be said either way and I still like to discuss these types of things with other ppl haha
Seriously though. At least a lot of the female LI bodytypes I've seen have had some variation to them? We've got LIs like Ava from ILITW who had a less exaggerated hourglass shape. We've got buff gals like Imtura, Kepler, Zaniah, Sledge, Naomi, Imani, all of whom had varying degrees of buffness. Plus also that new bodytype for the female version of the DLS LI. Heck, even that one overused lean-muscle female bodytype with the hand on the cocked hip was at least some variation.
Don't get me wrong– PB is still terrible at female body diversity, but there's more noticeable variation with them. I can at least classify them differently. Meanwhile, EVERY male LI or male version of an LI can be classified as muscular. Even the ones that have some variation like Thomas Hunt and Caleb having flatter stomachs or Ajay having an hourglass shape. The only exception is Tom Sato, and even he can be considered lean-muscular. Like does PB think they're gonna lose precious pennies from straight women if they have a dude without any muscles or something?
Give me some twink LIs. Give me some femboy LIs. Give me mom bod LIs and dad bod LIs. Give me larger/fat/plus-size LIs. They're capable of making different body shapes for the non-LI non-MC characters, they should be perfectly capable of doing it for LIs (and MCs).
Lol I do agree there's little to no variation in m!body types. Not all m!romancers are attracted to the severely dehydrated bodybuilder figure. I've thought it was weird that even all the nerds are jacked. I hope pb deviates from the norm and give yall some variety soon

The idea that uni protesters are "elitist ivy-league rich kids larping as revolutionaries" on Twitter and Reddit and even here is so fucking funny to me if you actually know anything about the student bodies at these unis. Take it from someone who's going to one of the biggest private unis in the US, 80% of the peers I know are either from the suburbs or an apartment somewhere in America, children of immigrants, or here on a student visa. I've heard about one-percenter students, but I've never met one in person. Like, don't get me wrong, the institution as a whole is still very privileged and white. I've talked with friends and classmates about feeling weird or dissonant being here and coming from such a different background. But in my art program, I see BIPOC, disabled, queer, lower-income students and faculty trying to deconstruct and tear that down and make space every day. So to take a cursory glance at a crowd of student protesters in coalitions that are led by BIPOC & 1st/2nd-gen immigrant students and HQ'd in ethnic housings and student organizations and say, "ah. children of the elite." Get real.
#also idk how to tell you this but even if it were true. wealthy children potentially sacrificing their educational careers to protest is#a good thing actually. idk how to tell you that caring about people from other nations is good#personal#“this war has nothing to do with most students cuz nobody's getting drafted” idk how to explain to you that we should be angry#that our tuitions of 10s of thousands of dollars that we pay every year for an education is being used to fund a genocidal campaign#also the implication that if you go to a uni institution you are automatically privileged by participation no matter your bg#i didn't /want/ to go to this school. i was supposed to go to a school with an art/animation program. but i realized my immigrant#parents have been working their whole lives to get me here. and turning the opportunity down would be a disservice to their sacrifice#this is getting into convos of “what 2nd gen kids owe their parents” which is different for everyone but. yeah#i just get pissed off at seeing people misrepresenting student bodies as “wealthy” and “privileged” and “elite” when it's such a blatant li#i remember a year ago a friend told me they can't fly home to hong kong for winter break because the plane tickets are too expensive#so they have to find temporary housing around the area#last quarter for a film doc class my film partner made a doc on a small group of marxist grad students from india discussing praxis#during a rally a few months ago in response to police presence the coalition invited palestinian students to speak about their experiences#and lead songs and read poems they wrote. these are STUDENTS. are they elitist too?#this is not to disregard my own personal privilege either.#this whole narrative's just to rationalize a lack of empathy to me. seeing a 19yo student get shot by a rubber bullet and your first#reaction is “HAW! HAW! bet richy rich didn't see THAT coming when she put on her terrorist hood!”#newsflash. these big uni campuses are HAUNTED by the violence of past protests and revolutions and police brutality. we know.#why do you think these coalitions have been making reinforced barricades at record speed

i know everyone likes to put tharja in the "yandere goth girl" category but tbh i feel like pigeonholing her into one specific archetype does a huge disservice to her character. is she obsessed with curses and robin? yes. is she constantly shoved into a fanservice role by intsys? absolutely.
but i think a lot of people forget just how impactful a lot of her supports are...there's something about tharja that makes nearly everyone who interacts with her divulge their deepest secrets and points of anxiety with her. we see this with libra, who tells her of the abandonment he endured at the hands of his parents. we see it with nowi, whose cheerful demeanor slips off as she tells tharja of her missing parents. and although tharja is not the only one lon'qu confides in regarding ke'ri, their support is notably the only one in which lon'qu divulges that there was romantic involvement between he and his childhood friend.
and despite her antisocial exterior, she always listens mindfully and offers to help! she even goes out of her way to discreetly help the shepherds (getting virion to do odd jobs that benefit civilians, interrogating henry to make sure he bears no ill will towards ylisse, etc).
a big thing about tharja is that she IS kind. she IS considerate. she just also has a reputation to uphold as a dark mage and that (paired with her overall awkwardness ofc) makes her true nature hard to see at first glance

"you need a break. you're working too hard."
"i don't care that you didn't do that assignment i'm more worried about the fact that you're crying."
bursting into his office whenever you're upset: are you busy?
^him: yes. (closes his laptop) what's up?
^me: aren't you...
^him: your principal can go step off a balcony. this is clearly more important.
"you're more than just smart. you're funny and sweet and talented -- don't let anyone reduce you to just smart."
"i'm so scared for the midterm if i'm being honest."
^"why? your worst grade in my class is a 95."
^"yes but i don't want to disappoint -- "
^"get a B."
^"what?"
^"i'm being serious. get a B. that's more than enough. don't kill yourself overstudying for a perfect score."
"you're literally a child. this isn't your responsibility. don't worry about it. just...go have fun."
"stop studying and go out please for the love of god."

Got too drunk and told two guys my age at the reception desk that I found some guy waiting inside really cute (he started conversation w me but then my best friend came back and we went outside so the valet could get the car) and then they told me to give him my number and that we only live once and then when I hesitantly concurred they gave us free parking to reward my bravery . And then as I was leaving I saw one of the guys sprint inside to give the cute guy my number and he just texted me and remind me never to get smashed again when I have to finish a research poster and study and also why do I make the decisions I do and also my best friend got me roses and now I’m smelling them in my bed on a Friday night

"I enjoy reading kids books" does not make you immature.
"I enjoy *only* reading kids books" is depriving yourself of joy, but I cannot force joy on you.
"I've never read [XYZ] because it's a kids book and I never read kids books" is also depriving yourself of joy, and again, I cannot force it on you.
"I enjoy reading kids books and resent any suggestion of reading something written for my level of life experience." The resentment may be a natural response to the tone of some of these suggestions - they do get snarky - but because it leads you to close off a source of joy, it's doing you no favors.
"I enjoy reading adult books and am baffled and slightly offended by people implying the content I read is inappropriate, offensive, unbearable, and otherwise not worth reading because it sometimes features characters being unhappy or behaving poorly." You are me. I'm sorry. Let's read a good book and find joy.
"I only read kids books and if you have anything snippy to say about this you must be prepared to hold my hand and explain, with the gentleness suitable to handling a baby hummingbird, with step by step guidelines, how I can start reading books written for my level of life experience." I don't know how to explain that random strangers with opinions on the internet are not your teacher or your parent.
