Czytam ksiażkę "Sonic Warfare" Steve'a Goodmana aka Kode9, który stwierdza, że soniczna wojna to punkt zero i zasada regulująca system polityczny na Ziemi. Jeśli core/centrum pochłania jakąś część miasta, muzyka dzielnic biedy staje się mocniejsza, mroczniejsza i ma niższe częstotliwości. Stopniowo potem bas jest wypłukiwany z tkanki miejskiej. Długo nie rozumialam metafory plemion i wojen ,bo moja głowa wypracowała metaforę nomadycznego wiru, który z szybkością derwisza jest w stanie wędrować po wszystkich klasach, stanach, plemionach. NIgdy nie potrafiłam się ugruntować, bo jednak nigdy nie będę tubylcem. Można jednak solidaryzować się z wybranym przez siebie brzmieniem. ❤ to ten na granicy słyszalności, czyli "unsound". Z kolei od futuryzmu z początku XX wieku hałas stał się kluczową obsesją modernistycznej awangardy dźwiękowej. Często łączony koncepcyjnie z „chaosem”, splata ze sobą „Sztukę Hałasu” (The Art of Noises Russolo) z eksperymentami Johna Cage’a nad dowolnym dźwiękiem, przypadkowością i I Ching, z free jazzem i japońskim „terrorystycznym hałasem”, aż po współczesne zainteresowania cyfrowymi zakłóceniami (glitch), estetyką procesualną oraz ich obecnymi przejawami w muzyce generatywnej, algorytmicznej i mikrosonorystyce (microsound)." THE ART OF NOISES (1916). First Italian Edition, preceding all others. A book length expansion of the musical theories first put forth by author Luigi Russolo in a 1913 manifesto to fellow Futurist composer Francesco Balilla Pratella. Text in Italian. Perhaps the earliest treatise on the use of noise as an element in modern music, and one that would come to influence countless musicians and movements, including John Cage and Pierre Schaeffer. Here is something you don’t see everyday: A UK shaped picture disc and a rare uncut copy of the same record! This is The Art of Noise’s “Paranoimia,” a collaboration with 1980s fictional character Max Headroom. I found the uncut version years ago for virtually nothing (the store didn’t realize what it was) and then didn’t come across a finished, cut version until recently. Surely few uncut copies ever made it out of the factory, so it’s a treat to finally own both “Before” and “After” versions.
