My dad accidentally ran over a snapping turtle and it cracked its shell but it's still alive and he sent me a picture of it and i just started involuntarily crying like WHYYY......it was bad enough to hear about it and now i see its little face..... god

#he sounded so sad on the phone i know he feels awful. lives in the suburbs so he cant just shoot it out of its misery💔#i had a pet tortoise as a kid that accidentally got killed so im extra emotional abt these creatures.

I love when people from the suburbs move out into the wooded country because they’ll be out at like 1am recording themselves like “guys…. i just heard something fucking scawy guys” hearing screaming laughing creatures or someone being “murdered”and it’s always just a fox

#my neighbor moved from like city suburbs and was telling me the other day he saw this huge brown creature in his yard #He was so freaked out and i later found out that it was a groundhog #I hate being the autistic buzzkill but it’s annoying seeing posts on neighborhood forums about creepy wood sounds #Like wild dogs or coyotes or wolves also make horrific sounds. even elk and deer sound fucking weird #there’s plenty of creepy stuff in the woods that aren’t animals you goobers #And if youre out in the middle of the night with expectations of scary ghouls youll think any sounds are creepy

i am Suffering my sister has put a 13 minute taylor swift mashup on the family playlist

#i hate it sooooo much #id be tolerant of the songs individually. however in this format #its abt the lack of structure and the chaotic 'lyrics' which makes it feel endless #but there is No variation in chords or key or anything at all #so its simultaneously chaotic and monotonous in the WORST WAY #and i have synesthesia and basically i picture music as a bunch strings one string for each instrument/melody #this is the sound equivalent of CHUCKING TINY STRING AFTER TINY STRING AT ME AND I JUST GOTTA KEEP CATCHING THEM #SO FRUSTRATING #this thing (to call it a song would be to bring shame upon the name of songs) is like those images of suburbs with the same house mutliplie #over and over again #different streets same thing like that one mag ep #personal posts #anyway its over now. sigh.

Hi I hope this question makes sense but how would I call out friends use of what might be aave? Im worried about being wrong and it not being aave/sounding like a white knight but I dont want to ignore it.

Hi! And no, you’re fine. If you’re not black, it’s always best to look up terms and listen to what black people say to begin with, that’s the most important thing and if you’ve seen black people talk about a specific term that you might recognize as being aave, simply let your friends know that they shouldn’t really be using such terms in the first place since at this point, viewed as antiblack and micro aggressive because Black people have grown tired of having to talk about this same problem over and over again. Especially when they use such terms directed at Black people. If they continue to use the terms despite being told not to, then you already know what they are.

Look i know its a rly dumb idea to try and set up a base in the middle of louisville buuuuuut i like being withing walking distance of things and i think it would be fun to try?

Now the question is... do i take my game where i have a nice base in muldraugh and try to move as much as i can over to lv or should i start a new game already there? Kinda wanna keep my things but also kinda wanna start new again...?

Well this is dystopian af...

I went to go on a hike today because, while Los Angeles isn't a football town, I still thought the trails would be less populated today, and they are. I also thought the hiking trails would be serene, but they are not.

I'm up in the hills in the inner valley suburbs of LA, and all I can hear right now are collectives pockets of people in the neighborhood below shouting at their tvs like a fucked up Aldous Huxley fever dream. All while the 5pm church bells peal over the valley. There really is no hope for society if we're this willing to follow the program.

I don't hate sports but, for the most part, sports generates unnecessary regionalism and then, ultimately, nationalism. None of those things are good. And the national franchises behind football, especially, still exist on the backs of poverty and racism. See "you can't take a knee for black lives or Americans will begin nationally foaming at the mouth."

I guess the best summary I've heard of what I call "football brain" comes from Noam Chomsky where he observes that all the great national past time seems to ever do is manufacture irrational consenting attitudes towards authority.

#a series of unfortunate events #asoue #theyre so....#like bro we have signs up saying the barista (me) is for head office staff only #they look at the sign ON THE COFFEE MACHINE and just go 'yeah ill get a cappucino thanks' while on their phone #'sorry! im for (suburb) office staff!' 'yeah im (company name).' '#'no... (suburb) office. 'oh.'#'but they USED to get us coffees'#'cant you just make one for me'#fam #there is like upwards of 40 of you. sometimes over 100. and one of me.#i used to tty making coffees for them all but theres just SO many people #and it would hold up the training event. because theyd make a line over FOUR METRES LONG instead of GOING TO THE CAFE UPSTAIRS #OR DOWN THE STREET #OR ACROSS THE ROAD #they also show up late to the events and still ask me for coffee?????#like. no????#dont be rude oh my god???#they stress me out. so much #one time when i still tried making them coffees. the coffee machine was making this hissing sound and letting off steam CONSTANTLY #and that on top of all the people was stressing me out. so my supervisor took me to a quiet room to just. breathe.#we came back. and. PEOPLE WHO DONT WORK IN *OUR OFFICE* WERE TRYING TO USE THE *CLEARLY AND AUDIBLY BROKEN* COFFEE MACHINE #its the only part of my job i dislike
