People who criticize others for disliking the changes of Greek mythology when gods are twisted to look like some sort or final villain boss fight video game I honestly wanna see how the reactions would be if someone created a biblical musical where the Pharaoh of Egypt takes revenge against God of Israelites for killing the first born of Egypt by smiting him with his own sword or justice and claim he does it for his people while God begs for mercy.

this is not even a little bit important, since it doesn't really change the meaning of it, but it IS interesting to me that the famous part of Donne's Divine Meditation 17 has been passed around the internet as a poem:

No man is an island, Entire of itself. Each is a piece of the continent, A part of the main. If a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less. As well as if a promontory were. As well as if a manor of thine own Or of thine friend's were. Each man's death diminishes me, For I am involved in mankind. Therefore, send not to know For whom the bell tolls, It tolls for thee.

it's presented as prose, but it's a sermon, so it's prose written to be read. the line breaks in this version are placed at the natural rhythmic or emphatic breaks, so they all make sense. and if i'm trying to take inference from it, it's that modern prose this strongly measured and metered is uncommon, so it reads like a poem.

Logic Trance

Moments we want to last a lifetime, moments engraved in our souls. Realizations that happiness comes from within, that happiness these moments pull forth and make radiant. Times I can scarcely remember who I was without you by my side, without you filling and fulfilling each heartbeat with significance. Places our lips have touched, our hands have held, our eyes have met. Places our souls have vibed on the same frequency, our limbs have intwined.
