Rayman Head Canons: The Nymphs and Ly

Each Nymph represents an aspect of nature and their powers reflect on that.

Betilla is closely tied to the magic of the world. She is considered the leader of her circle of nymphs and is the second eldest of her sisters. She is considered the most powerful out of all of them. She is the one who created Rayman.

Anetta Fish is tied to the oceans, rivers, and springs. She is capable of breathing the waters and can communicate with all undersea life. She is often referred to as the Queen of the Sea.

Holly Luya is tied to the air. The wind will carry her melodies throughout the world. She uses birds as her messengers. Music festivals are often held in her honor.

Edith Up is the fire that runs hot in the core of the world. Volcanoes quake with her fury. Her voracious appetite is both feared and celebrated. Many leave her edible offerings to earn her favor or to appease her fury.

Voodoo Mama is tied to the afterlife. The spirits of the deceased heed her call and she acts as their protector and guardian. She watches over the Land of the Livid Dead. She is the oldest of all the nymphs but is often not around when action is needed. She only heeds these calls when it is the most dire. Despite her power nearly matching Betilla's in strength, she is still able to see the finer things in life and will often dote on her charming young nephew.

Helena Handbasket is considered the youngest of the nymphs and prefers to live far away from her sisters. Her skill with magic is lesser compared to her sisters and she prefers the company of the common mortals. She has learned to live amongst them. She learned to hunt and fish. She knows how to use most forms of weaponry. She is referred to as the Battle Maiden.

There are other types of fairies within the world. One of these is Ly.

Ly is classified as a "wild one" or a fairy deeply tied to nature. Ly is the most powerful member of the wild fairies and the one with the most recognition. She was able to craft her own thingamajig as Betilla was. She has both magical and physical prowess. Her reflexes are cat-like, and she has a lot of physical stamina. She can run for long lengths and periods, capable of leaping to great heights and can harness magic to craft lums of her own. She is considered the guardian of the land itself.

Wild ones are scarce, and Ly is the only one of her people that do not shun outsider interaction. No one knows where the rest of the wild ones hide, but many who go searching for them do not return.

Rayman Origins Role!Swap with Ales and the Nymphs.

Ales starts off as this troubled and failing magician but with the help of Rayman and friends, he's able to better himself and realize his skills are better suited to machines and with that, he's able to help them along with their quest and becoming a hero in his own way.

Meanwhile Rayman is shocked to learn the Nymphs are behind the Nightmares plaguing the Glade of Dreams (though things may have admittedly gotten out of their control) because they're collectively planning to get rid of The Bubble Dreamer after spending so much time under him and gradually viewing him as incompetent and lazy.
