Be more chill musical AU with Karla Pinefield who summons the demon Beelzebub to help him be popular. It goes as well as you'd expect. Beelzebub can't leave until he is successful which is why he is so hard on Karla. He plans on making Karla popular by any means necessary.

I'm also working on an animatic using the song Be more chill part 1(and maybe part 2). Look forward to it!

ngl this was half an excuse for a persona 5 crossover and half an excuse to draw Kid in something else

They team up because Phantom thieves of Heart and Kid's bad guys are part of the same org duh!

How many teenage Phantom Thieves are there in Japan?!? Or teenage detectives for that matter... between Persona and DCMK I feel like the ratio is so absurd ajnfsdlvnfsb

I like to imagine everywhere else is relatively normal but everyone in Japan just loses it

Design ramblings:

Mostly I just wanted Kaito to look more immature than Toichi's/Kid's suit so instead of impersonating him its more Kaito-

he looks so Kid is because his biggest sense of self isn't being Kuroba Kaito or Kid or whatever he is "Dad's son" at his core- everything else is second so that's what he looks like! Not Kid himself but his own thing with some clear design inspirations!

Imagine this design of Kaito's standing beside og Kid... Father and son.....

There's also a certain jewel motivating him and his revenge... and they ARE going after the crows in this arc... at least I think so I forgot if Kaito or Conan call them crows or guys in Black in my mind and my canon they are interconnected enough that I cannot for the life of me remember but Im p sure Conan's the one who calls them guys in black

I think he'd have like a theatre mask because of all his disguises and theatrics lmao

I haven't decided his personas design yet I just !?!?!?! the persona designs are so cool in game it has to have something jewel related right???

Oooh I just remembered another old casteship au I have!

Atem gets abandoned in the desert as a child by Akhnadin, who wants a bigger chance at attaining the throne. He gets found by a bunch of bandits who save him but end up selling him as a slave to an evil magician who lives in the middle of nowhere. Atem up grows up under his authority, completely forgetting his old identity. He isn't treated well, and there is no escape, so he tries to come up with a plan. Atem starts to secretly learn magic from the spellcaster and finds that he's quite good at it if not a little unreigned. The spellcaster ends up violently confronting him about it when he finds out, during which Atem's magic erupts in his state of panic, accidentally killing his master.

After a few moments of silence, Atem realises that he's being watched, and he turns to see a young Bakura curiously observing him in the middle of robbing the house. The two of them end up leaving together, and they become fast friends. Bakura has the experience surviving that Atem needs, and Atem has raw untamed magic, which Bakura really likes. They grow up together, Bakura becoming the King of Thieves, a bandit unrivalled by all, and Atem becoming the King of Games, a magical conman who wins every game he's presented with. The two of them share a deep bond, and they deeply care for each other. Unfortunately, they have no idea how to do romance while they're so busy planning their vengeance on the throne. And they're both hella awkward about emotions to begin with XD

Just in case anyone wondered exactly how Shinichi missed his personal encounter with aptx4869.

On one hand, now Kaito has to *shudder* pretend he likes a detective, because he has to keep consistency. On the other hand, now he's Ran's favorite, which gives Shinichi endless grief.

Wildfire is insistent on not needing anyone else and being powerful enough on his own. However if he’s really distressed he’ll run to Draconis. Funnily enough the reason he feels safer with Draconis around is the “angry cousin” thing. Even if Wildfire doesn’t show it, someone looking at him and deciding that he isn’t just a stranger, acquaintance, or someone to avoid, meant a lot to him. Like he acted all annoyed when Draconis said it but later when he was alone he was happy crying to Spark that he might actually have family now. Someone cares enough to see him as family.
