This obviously isn’t the majority (or even a large portion) of casual Pokémon players but what is it with some of them and acting like competitive players have knives to their throats to force their favourite mons to be ones that are Smogon OU

“Comp players don’t even care about their Pokémon!!! They’re just numbers and stats on screens to them!!! 🥺🥺🥺” babe they are video game characters. That’s literally what they are. 90% of the franchise preaches about playing with your favourites in order to win and forming bonds with your Pokémon, YOU are the target demographic. Comp is a niche. And don’t even get me started on the card game! Oh you wanna build a deck of just your favourites? Well I hope they’re all the same type and happen to have cohesive moves on their current cards then

Lily Orchard (yeah yeah I know I’m trying to just post about my own shit on this blog now just let me have this) is probably the easiest example of this mindset I can point to. Like there’s objectively nothing wrong with wanting to use your favourite mon on your team even if it’s not the strongest but it’s an entirely different thing to mod it into the game as a starter, insist it’s the strongest bestest thing ever and then yell at comp players like it’s THEIR fault you’re losing??? Did a Smogon mod knock ice cream out of your hand as a kid or something???

sooo my first real calling I got during my journey into paganism was this dream I had where I was walking through farm land when all of a sudden this silo exploded but I managed to be carried to safety on top of all the grain inside instead of drowning in it. So I decided to finally read The Razzle Dazzle again after narrowly avoiding being traumatized by it as a kid (afaik it’s one of the few Stockholm stories where none of the characters that bone are underage or directly blood related during the sex scenes, what a low bar amirite) and I gotta say a real highlight are the scenes where Adagio (a woman in her 40s) is openly flirting with Sonata (an 18 year old) with them calling each other “baby” and “mommy” and all that other ageplay shit in front of some poor person in the room who I can only assume looks like this the entire time

Like if this story was actually some deep satire about the romanticization of grooming or some shit and I didn’t know it was written by someone just posting their incest pedo kink on main this would have been fucking hilarious

Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Wyll, but… out of all the BG3 characters for this list she picked him?

Yes obviously his contract with Mizora is abusive but if we had to compare and contrast here, he’s arguably on the longest leash compared to the other companions with some form of contract/worship. Gale is essentially groomed by Mystra from childhood to be her pet and is given the instruction to BLOW HIMSELF UP if he deems the time right. He initially doesn’t see an issue with this at all. Shadowheart is forced to give up most of her memories as tribute to Shar. She also sees no issue with this at first. Astarion is the victim of a fucking PROSTITUTION RING with the rest of Cazador’s spawn. Wyll knows right from the start that he entered a risky deal with Mizora. But he did it to protect the people and land he cared about. His contract only really poses an issue when he’s sent to kill Karlach and realizes that she’s also a victim of the war she was fighting, but Mizora punishes him anyway because she uses some legal loophole bullshit to justify her want to kill Karlach.

It’s just so obvious she only cares about Wyll so she can go “look, I like the black character that doesn’t get as much love! Not that stinky white boy Astarion!” and that somehow feels worse than the people who call Wyll “unseasoned”.

This makes me so mad and confused like that wasn't an answer.

Also, this might be a mouth melting take, but Ariel is not as abused as say anyone else on this list.

Her father broke her shit which is a fucking fucked thing to do to your child especially if its something your child is interested in.

Oh yeah also btw @purpledemonlilyposting, if you want a good laugh for your next Lily stream given recent events, Lily used to have a video where she lectured an artist (who iirc was like, 16 at the time) for daring to ask for her work to be linked in a video description after Lily used it in a video. Not only is it hypocritical because she laughs at the artist for threatening her with a DMCA takedown notice, but she also goes on this long rant through the whole thing about how artists are all whiny divas that are looking for easy money (unless of course you're her friend or someone she likes in which case "oh I'm TOTALLY not talking about you guys hahahaha!")
