I was heavily inspired by this post where the artist drew Nemona with Nemophila, and I'm like, "Hey I should do that too!"

Can y'all believe it's already been a half decade? Jeez... 😵‍💫

I will say I really liked the additions the Isle of Armor made to the Pokedex, it was good to finally have access to my faves Volcarona and Magnezone, and I really liked Klara as a rival, she was funny. Imo tho, it just felt too short.

The Teal Mask gave me a plotline I always wanted, a rival turning antagonistic towards the player after we end up fulfilling his dream, and Kieran was genuinely creeping me out towards the end, especially that look he gives us before the final battle and when we get that scene in his room of him breaking down and being like, "Just you wait, Player." Plus, I found the Ogerpon legend pretty interesting, tho I'm pretty sure we all saw the twist that the Loyal Three were evil coming a mile away.

This takes place right after Julianna, Carmine and Verde find a 'mysterious ogerpon' in the terrarium.

Also, I headcannon the ogerpon and her trainer were originally from Paldea (hence why Ogerpon has terrastle crystals in her mask and why she gets attached to Julianna so quickly). Hence why she referred to her original trainer as 'Domandor' (apparently it means 'tamer' in Spanish, at least that's what google translate says)

And yeh, being an Ogerpon comes with a lot of trauma. We need to get these tree kids some therapy.

I was telling my mom about the pun names for the Loyal Three and said "haha and they're the opposite of all that, they killed a man."

Then I realized. This means we have four Legendaries who have canonically killed someone in the same generation and in the games.

teal mask/indigo disc kieran theory/thoughts (SPOILERS)

earlier, i was thinking about the ending of the teal mask (with kieran's dramatic about-face from practically being in love with the mc to deciding they're his mortal enemy now), and how carmine mentions a few times how he seems to be acting out of character

she asks you if "most people act up like that" and seems troubled when you say it's abnormal, even calling it "a bit scary", seemingly at a loss and not having seen this type of behaviour before, even if he does have a "bit of an ego" as she mentioned while ruminating on this, i remembered the part in the violet book where heath mentions finding pages of notes that he doesn't remember writing, having a dream of meeting something he doesn't remember

what this says to me is that there is a possibility of some sort of possession-stuff going on with terapagos, or has happened in the past, and something similar could be happening to kieran

i wonder if the reason the loyal three were resurrected is because kieran subconsciously wished it in some way, like some sort of thought to himself where he wished to be stronger or if he could defeat them himself to earn ogerpon's trust, or hurt the pokémon that hurt her. i just find it interesting it exploded and they came back after he came near it and punched it (touching it, in that way) it seems at least, that the loyal three might have some connection to terapagos due to the descriptions under the three of them, specifically the wording of "wish", and evidently there's terastal energy and tera crystals present in kitakami so it's influence is present there

my friend also pointed out that on the signboards around kitakami depicting the folktale, there seems to be a boy with a pokéball commanding the loyal three, seemingly wearing the toxic chain the loyal three have (and they don't have them in this depiction), when in the story it's never implied they ever had a trainer or owner

this is probably reaching or tangential, but it's also interesting that he's the one with the violet/purple undercolour to his hair, the same colour as the chain (yes it's meant to parallel violet, but it could be multiple references) it wouldn't be the first time a character was intoxicated by poisons that heavily influenced their personality *coughs* lusamine *coughs* as well as sword in pokémon special via eternatus's poison in regards to him pulling his hair back at the end

One thing I’m kinda bummed out about is the fact that since Ash is no longer the main lead in the anime is that if/when the events of The Teal Mask are adapted, we won’t get the awesome spectacle of Ash teaming up with Ogerpon, nor will we get the chaos and shenanigans of the Team Rocket Trio trying to throw their hat in the ring with the Loyal Three. Then of course there’s all the possibilities of Pecharunt and Mochi Mayhem getting thrown into the mix. All around, I think it would have made for a really interesting story arc/multi-episode mini-arc and I think this idea deserves to be toyed with and explored a bit more.
