Caregiver Professor Ratigan Headcanons (The Great Mouse Detective)

He prefers things to be tidy and orderly, but he knows one can’t expect very much from children. If you make a mess, he’ll just have Fidget clean up after you.

Very little that you do can upset him, unless you call him a… r-a-t. That’s a surefire way to get sent to the corner!

He smokes clove cigarettes, which smell very nice, and he often blows smoke rings for your entertainment.

He does quite a bit for your entertainment, including performing songs for you. He loves attention and is happy to ham it up. 

He knew who would be the best toy maker to “recruit” for his master plan. You can’t convince me he doesn’t keep up to date on the latest toys, just in case they could prove useful.

(And of course he recruits your help to “test” certain toys for evil purposes. Or evil playtime. Whichever, so long as it’s evil.)

He reads you newspaper articles about himself and his diabolical acts. (And he also tells you about lesser villains and their inferior crimes so you can laugh at them.)

He’s very strong and often holds you on his hip while he’s working.

You are the only other rodent Felicia will accept affection from. She’ll lie down and purr while you pat her head, and she’ll let you nap on her back.

No matter how busy he is with his schemes, he’s always there to tuck you in at bedtime. He tidies up the blankets, pats you on the head, and sits beside your bed until he’s sure you’re asleep.

seen a few of these go around and i thought i'd try my hands at making my own! just send me a character and a number :) feel free to rb and do this yourself!

how did they find out about age regression? did they stumble upon it online? did a friend tell them about it?

do they have a specific age or range they regress to, or do they just go off vibes?

why do they regress? is it trauma or stress related? do they regress to go back to simpler times, or to create new memories? what causes them to regress?

is their regression more voluntary or involuntary? do they ever regress without realizing it?

do they ever find themselves only regressing partially, or do they fully drop when they regress?

are they a stuffie or a blankie kid? both? neither?

do they have a caregiver? are they a caregiver/flip?

in what ways are they different when they're regressed? do aspects of their personality or interests change at all? are they similar to how they were when they were an actual kid, or completely different?

do they identify with any specific labels (regressor, flip, pet regressor, etc.)?

do they have any regression gear (teethers, pacifiers, diapers, specific toys or outfits, etc.)? do they try to hide it from friends/family?

do they fall into any 'regressor stereotypes' (baby talk, loving disney movies, liking pastels, etc.), or do they diverge from the 'norm' (liking horror media, regressing to an older age, etc.)?

do they have any specific nicknames for when they regress? how about nicknames they've given to their caregiver(s) or friends?

where do they tend to regress? do they mostly regress at home, at the park, at a specific friend's house? do they have a specific place they like to go once they're regressed?

do they prefer to play indoors or outdoors? do they get upset when it rains?

do they take naps? if so, do they take them at a specific time, or just nap whenever they feel like it? do they get fussy over having to take one?

what kind of things do you associate with their regression? is their a specific aesthetic or general 'vibe' you think suits them and their regression?

what is age regression to them? what do they like/dislike? are they proud of their regression, or feel a bit more insecure about it?

Regressor Basil Headcanons (The Great Mouse Detective)

Suggested by @wolfy-star1401 (BTW,

 He is INCREDIBLY private about his regression. The only people who actually know he regresses are Dr. Dawson and Mrs. Judson (though Ratigan has his suspicions). He regresses to an older age range, which helps him to keep it secret; but there are ways one can tell he’s slipped.

For example: he loves chemistry in any headspace, but when he’s regressed, he doesn’t care about explaining why something reacted the way it did. He just obsesses over the end result - especially if there’s an explosion.

Another sure way to tell is to offer him some of Mrs. Judson’s cheese crumpets. As an adult he exercises some restraint, but as a kiddo he’ll eat a whole platter in one sitting.

But the biggest sign he’s regressed? He’s a frustration crier. Any failure has him in tears while he tries to fix it.

Playing is really hard for him, especially playing pretend - but there is one exception. When he’s with Toby, he tends to bark and crouch and act like a puppy. If you ask him about it, he’ll claim he’s trying to better train him.

He loses all his musical abilities when he’s regressed, so instead he’ll sneak into the main house and listen to the radio.

He can still read, but he’s rather have someone read to him. It’s a bit of an exercise in patience, since he chooses very thick scientific tomes and gets indignant if the reader isn’t “properly invested”, but Dawson is happy to indulge him.

He likes to sit in his chair and draw sketches of crime scenes he’s investigated. Sometimes these drawings turn into little cartoons about how he solved the case.

(He tries to throw them away once he’s older, but Dawson keeps them. He thinks they’re adorable.)

He thrives on praise. The slightest compliment has him absolutely beaming with pride.

The reason of why I decided to create this blog was because a friend of mine advised me to do that since they believe it might me something for me and after long time of thinking I decided to do it.

I‘m a age regressor and my little age is around 1 - 5 but it can go extremely small like a few months. I‘m very private about this so only a few people knows about this. I still like science, violin music and other mind challenging stuff. But I also like playing detective & puzzling with Ratigan as bonding time.

They're doing a puzzle together! I think Basil would enjoy simple but enriching activities, as as a CG+Regressor pair, they'd have non-serious little bouts of bickering (like where to start on a puzzle!) Also Basil has a baby blanket with little magnifying glasses on it, he never goes anywhere w/o it when small ^^!

More little! Basil & cg! Ratigan HCs :

Ratigan is physically affectionate ! Like he would pat Basil’s head, pinching/ caressing his cheeks or peppering his face with kisses which made the little one giggle

Bedtime stories ! Would read to the little one everynight

Basil would show his drawing to him which makes Ratigan very happy

They would do a lot of cg + regressor bounding time together ! For example doing mind challenging games like puzzle

To be honest, I really wish there were some little! Basil & cg! Ratigan fanfics out there
