The Forum - The River Is Wide (1966)

I definitely love songs that aim for over-the-top epic. The Forum started as a folk trio from Pasadena, but by 1966 they were more mainstream folk pop. Try as much as several record companies might, it did not become anything but a local L.A. hit, though Britain was more receptive. The Grassroots, however, had a bit more luck in 1969.
