#yom kippur #las vegas #the context is that im learning about multiple variable linesr regression #specifically in the context of business analysis #so were doing this example with the caesars palace in vegas #and they had a lost of ones for holidays that might impact number of check ins on any given day #and they had the expected new years day and super bowl sunday type days #and christianity's greatest hits (christmas and easter)#and also a bunch of jewish holidays of which yom kippur was one #to which i said the above #because isnt yom kippur all about repenting for your sins?#how are you supposed to do that in a place thats literally called sin city?#anyway got immediate vindication when i saw the resulting regression table and saw its p-val was > 0.05 #which means it is not a good explanatory variable btw for all you non-math-people #<- no judgement there. math is hard. and generally poorly taught which makes it even harder.
