hey man. uh. you got some gay tragedy in your goofy children's film video game franchise adaptation. no no it's super easy to do so don't worry. it's just. yeah so my kid is watching zoomy multicoloured hedgehogs spewing gen alpha-relevant witticisms while saving the world, and I seem to be watching humanity's saddest evil henchman in a toxic codependent-yet-one-sided relationship pining after his repressed boss for three films before having his feelings reciprocated in front of the entire world and having the only truly good and selfless act his supervillain love interest has ever performed dedicated to him - essentially implying that the world and everyone on it owe their continued existence to his small acts of love and the effect they had on the man he loved. no it's not a problem. I just thought you should know. my kid loves the yellow one by the way - that's their favourite.

I think it’s funny how obvious the line “driving our sister insane” was clearly written about the earlier version of the show where Phineas was snarkier because…in none of the many episodes do Phineas or Ferb ever intentionally drive Candace insane

love how Solar Opposites started out as a sitcom about two aliens who can't stand each other, stuck with their teenage clones (whom they also can't stand) & a toddler antichrist (whom they view as a sort of self-sufficient free-roaming hamster?) on a stupid planet they can't stand

and 4 seasons later it's a sitcom about a family of genderqueer aliens, headed by a gay couple in a happy & horny open marriage (with a graphic off-screen sex life, despite their canonical lack of genitalia?) teaching themselves to be okay parents to their 3 kids (whose Sci-Fi Antics now slightly-less-frequently revolve around wreaking havoc on human bystanders, and slightly-more-frequently revolve around alien-clone-sibling-bonding*), to the point that the central plot point becomes "We need to provide our toddler antichrist with a stable home environment."

(also the grumpy alien husband is too busy ingratiating his family with their suburban neighbors to even remember whom or what he dislikes. what is this show)

I went in and reorganized most of The B-Plot for the sake of not making a tangled nightmare out of the tags. Also, longer stories are now organized so they can be found more easily.

The stories are arranged more-or-less chronologically, and have been back-dated to avoid causing any confusion on AO3 for new readers.

Stories that have otherwise become their own, separate fic already are being left as-is, and the main landing zone is going to be left for posterity.

So far I don’t think I’ve seen anyone talking about this…. But Niko is implied to be Sedna come onto land for a mortal life or maybe some sort of physical incarnation of her.

Like at first I thought it was just a narrative parallel, you know, both the young girls with recently dead fathers but that igloo scene at the very end just smashed me over the head. She isn’t like her; she is her.

I went back to rewatch some scenes for reasons and guess who is inexplicably afraid of the stormy weather? Guess who avoids the father murdering his daughter case after learning he likely chopped them to pieces? Guess who observes Mick the walrus looking for sea glass after easily finding the red glass needed to find the washerwoman? Guess who spend the entire series wearing fingerless fucking gloves?

Even the story of Sedna- told through monochrome!? like a certain other monochromatic character- shows a dark haired girl become a white haired goddess. I just….

And her mom also might be the 002 boss woman we see give the boys an exception at the end?? She has such a reaction to her name, she can’t NOT know Niko. And at the end we see the dandelion sprites in the igloo no longer needing a jar to contain them. We see FULL gloves on the monochromatically dressed igloo occupant holding the good luck charm that Niko dies with? Like if she isn’t Sedna then she sure as shit won her favor somehow

In like the first episode of Atla when Zuko captures Aang i genuinely think they'd end up becoming friends even faster than in canon. Like.... Zuko trapped on a boat with Aang for at least several months??? Constant exposure to the sweet eternal sunshine child? Zuko doesn't stand a chance. Also uncle Iroh would not help in the slightest l, he'd be down in the brig having tea with his newest adopted child.

Angsty addon: Aang learns about the Airbender genocide from Zuko and Zuko gets to witness the horror and grief his 'great nation' has caused, first hand. Three cheers for questioning your own morality.

remember that episode of voyager where the doctor gets kidnapped and forced to work in a hospital managed by ai and is so disgusted by the status-based tiers of medical care - where the working class is left to suffer and die while the medicine that could save their lives is used on vanity treatments for the elite - that he kidnaps the chief admin guy, makes him deathly ill, and hacks the computer so it thinks he's fucking useless and not worth saving, and refuses to do anything until he changes the system?

i like that one.
