So, fun fact.

As mentioned in the notes section of With a Chance of Rain's first part, the store the Rescue Squad visit is based on a real discount store chain known as Don Quijote.

It has a theme song that plays on 24-hour continuous loop.

Please imagine Kei sitting outside on a bench, guarding everyone's stuff, as this song drills into her brain.

So in the anime and manga, naruto proved despite being a jinchrrki . He is able to get drunk. Do you think if isobu turns off some of the poison resistance she could feel the full effects of alcohol?

As I said, jinchuriki are not canonically immune to poison. They are in Ocean Stars Falling specifically, because the new circumstances are changing both beast and host. They also heal at such an accelerated rate that Kei cuts her finger at one point and can watch the injury close. Yugito survives being impaled by debris with only complaints and a ruined outfit to show for it.

Isobu doesn't know how to turn it off, but wouldn't want to. Something has to keep Kei from getting herself killed before thirty, and neither of them like the idea of being drunk.

But yes, under ordinary circumstances, every jinchuriki would drop before Whitebeard even got tipsy during that drinking contest. They simply don't have as much mass as a guy who's over six and a half meters tall.

The Tailed Beasts would not drop because none of them have biology that is affected by alcohol.

Or is radiation a different beast

It seems like a bad idea to chance that kind of thing. "Poison" is an incredibly broad category of substances whose only commonality is being dangerous to human life, but for the purposes of the jinchuriki immunity, the term mainly applies to substances that the body can begin to process (even if it normally fails).

Radiation doesn't really get processed by the body so much as just rip the atoms off you and make you deal with the aftermath.

Also, just to reiterate: Jinchuriki are not normally immune to poison. Per canon, Sakura came up with a substance so vicious that getting scratched knocked Naruto on his ass. And he has the strongest healing at baseline among jinchuriki of his generation.

In the meantime, I present to you: Not-a-lion Lionturtle Isobu.

Nothing's changed. He's still Isobu. Aang, however, does not know what an Isobu is. Or a biju, for that matter.

He does know what a Lionturtle is, though! And Isobu is close enough! Probably!

And then Isobu offers Aang the power of friendship wrapped in the power of incredible violence, which Aang understandably side-eyes.

Question, in CYB if Kakashi HAD managed to confess any earlier (like in the restaurant before the Danzo thing) would it have been reciprocated? Or would it have been like with Rin?

Kakashi might consider the worst option a flat "no," but a worse one might be an insincere "yes," a failed date or two, and then that experience flattening his chances of exploring a relationship with Kei any further.

Sometimes, people aren't in the right place in their life for certain things, and that's just how it goes.

Kei wasn't interested in any of that for a very long time.

Do keisuke’s people have a clue where she is or is she missing presumed dead?

When she DOES find her way home, can she bring back objects (clothes, food, beverage) on her person?

Showing up several minutes late to her own funeral, Starbucks in hand.

I have this very vivid mental image of Keisuke pulling something like that.

Currently, Kei has no idea, but chooses to operate as though the only way back is by consulting with the sorcerers on the Justice League and seeing what comes of it. Though she'd bring back stuff in storage scrolls if she thought she could. Modern worlds are full of such weird things.

Naruto, meanwhile, could probably give an excuse that sounds super goofy and get away with his absence. Like "sorry Baachan I was kidnapped by toads."

She’s gotta fill Naruto in pretty quickly. Cause if she’s sending him back to his home world there some stuff he’s gotta know…..

There's also a lot of stuff she either can't remember or can't prove to anyone who's less credulous than Naruto is, particularly without access to a Mangekyo Sharingan- or Rinnegan-equipped ally over in his canon timeline.

Sure, Naruto will believe nearly anything Kei says, but...he's Naruto.

Just noticed that somehow your update hasn't pushed the B-plot series to the top of my bookmarks when sorted by last updated, which is how I usually find out about updates. Weird thing is that the date does seem to have updated, it's just not sorting right.

Dunno why that is. Sometimes, weird glitches just happen.
