Kakashi noticed that Kei seemed really unhappy interacting with Bruce, so he took his cues from that and decided to pull rank to spare her having to talk to him. Not that it really stopped anyone from just chiming in whenever, but in his view, the point was to diffuse the effect of the Bats' attention on her. She's obviously tired and upset. Leave her alone!

Obito correctly determined that he was going to be able to do something elsewhere, and went to facilitate that. Rin agreed.

Kakashi's gonna just keep missing confession opportunities as long as there are more pressing issues. Like a Zetsu clone army.

Glad you liked Kei being all growly. She doesn't get to do that much.

How would kakashi react to finding out he’ll be a dad? Or how would he be AS a dad?

I had a discussion once with Beta about Kakashi as a parent, and we kinda looked at each other, while that sentence sank into the universe, and concluded Kakashi as he's presented in canon...would not be a great parent. For reasons not entirely his fault, of course, but he'd have a lot of work to do to be prepared for having a child.

Which he did not...really do with Team Seven, who were admittedly his students and not his sole responsibility.

Mostly.

He's somewhat better prepared in CYB. There are a lot more people around him whose expertise he can defer to and whose examples he can follow, which gives him more leeway to improve. Kakashi and Kei haven't really had a discussion about pregnancy and children in an immediate sense, due primarily to how much stuff they have going on in other areas.

As for how he'd react to finding out he'll be a dad... I think I covered it in one of the drabbles here.

What’s their favorite thing about their significant other, if they have one?

Kakashi cares a lot about his interests. Whether that's novels, dogs, messing with people (read: Obito), training, or anything else, Kei thinks it's cute that he cares so much. And he's generally pretty willing to share most of those experiences (and his opinions thereof) with her, and to listen if she does the reverse.

What’s their body count, if they have one?

Kei's body count is in the triple digits and comprised primarily of enemy combatants. I've never bothered to specify since, well, Kei doesn't always remember what happens during her hulking out moments and Isobu doesn't care.

(Though she usually saves that for lone targets.)

I guess for me it's the moment when Kakashi wrote his name in Kunai on the tree.

I remember thinking it was kind of a weird thing for his character to do? Like why did he do that? and then I forgot. and waaaaaaaaaaay later when the pairing came up and you answered some asks and i had the 'ohhhh' moment.

Second would be when Kei yelled at Kyuubi about hope and future on top of Isobu. It was the most 'Protagonist' moment I had seen from Kei so far.

Kakashi tryin' real hard to flirt, but isn't exactly speaking a language that Kei at that point could comprehend. She left that interaction as clueless as ever.

Kei channeling the art of the shonen protagonist friendship speech was unfortunately never going to develop into a full character trait--she's a bit too much of a cynic--but dammit, people need to be alive to grow and change and she is very invested in that! Said monologue tendency only rarely ever appears again. Aloud.

Might be something in the water in Konoha.

I remember you for the entirety of the Rashomon Arc where Obito never turned to the dark side and the KeiKashi confession in Chapter 116. Oh, and for being a great friend and influence. :)

The most memorable moment to me was when kei realized kakashi loved her. She was like "you asscrack YOU DIDNT HAVE TO GO AND DIE TO TELL ME YOU LOVED ME WTF"

Truly, the only way for that romance arc to end was by yelling about how it went. :p

A commission I asked for from @wingbladeweaver1357/Wing-chan, this is based off one of my favorite chapters from Catch Your Breath. @langwrites has been a constant presence in my life for the past three years, and since she was around a lot during my rather chaotic finals period, I wanted to give something back. And hey, I could support two of my friends by asking for the commission, so it works! :)

My favorite scene is where kei finally realizes kakashi loves her and they kiss but it ends up being more awkward ,weird and sloppy but that perfect cause both her and kakashi are all that but they don’t really care because it’s enough for them. Which is a more realistic take on how romantic relationships should be and it’s funny cause I think kei won the bet.

Kei did win, actually! Because she bet that Kakashi wouldn’t confess (to Shizune) on the day she placed it, then felt bad when that clearly upset Kakashi somehow, then took the dogs’ part of the betting pool back to them as an apology that never quite landed.

So really, Rin’s the only one who won; she figured Kei would realize what Kakashi’s feelings were before he confessed.

When did minato noticed that Kakashi had a crush on kei? I'm really curious because i just read that chapter (wich I LOVE IT) and only rin, obito and isobu said when they realised (sorry for the bad english, i'm chilean)

Don’t worry about your English! You’re honestly doing fine.

Minato figured out the depths of Kakashi’s feelings somewhere around chapter thirty-six or so. He didn’t say anything because he figured Kakashi would ask if he needed help.
