A decade of Japanese scroll style Pokémon paintings ✨

All of my legendary Pokémon paintings are real, physical paintings done on paper with coffee, inks and watercolours. I was originally inspired by the art style of Okami and it's wild to think how far that little experiment has taken me.

These are some of my personal favourite works. I really enjoy researching the style, the themes and techniques in old Japanese art and the process is a lot of fun.

When people ask me how large the original paintings are they're surprised to hear they're about 40 x 14 cm. I just like noodling lol

"The Artist" - Boy's suit from Life & Death - cleaned +recoloured + BASEGAMEE

This cute suit from the Life & Death expansion pack reminded me of a ~1860s artist smock, with a big bow and big coat - BUT the EA outfits for L&D are all worn and have big rips at the edges; not really appropriate for my wealthier sims!

I couldn't find a version that had been cleaned up by a creator, so I was determined to get it done! Note that I am not an expert in Blender OR photoshop, but I did my best!

You'll also see that the original had these weird, ripped from the bottom, socks/stockings. When I tried to clean these up, it turned out that they would completely overlay other things - like shoes - it would have to be adjusted to every ankle height. SO I deleted it completely, so you can have your sim wear any socks, stockings, or nothing at all.

I've made 7 different suit colours, which each have 11 different tie colours.

Here's a little key of how to interpret the swatches, as well as a little sample of the 7 suits and different ties:

 I HOPE these swatches are sufficient, but I welcome any further recolours if you are up to it!

I think the vertical format is even better in the scroll format - I can add so much more dynamism into the pieces. I would love to be able to turn these into bigger scroll prints to make justive to all the details and the impact!

In case you are wondering why the piece with Dialga, Palkia and Giratina isn't here, that one was a commission and the original was shipped to the commissioner.
