The main reason for this blog (Well one of them)

My god was his whole arc was unnecessary

More Nanaho: a boon

He is just not a good villain, I for the life of my cannot understand what he was after. If he had become evil after his siblings betrayed him then maybe he trying to cause chaos or destroy dueling in general would have made sense, but he was evil. Being evil for the sake of being evil is all well and good, but that really didn’t feel like it fit him either, the whole time he was a villain it felt like he wanted something, but I can’t figure out what it was.

He had a loving family, so it shouldn’t be betrayal as a motive because he went for the forbidden card first

He wasn’t trying to get rid of rush dueling because he didn’t want Yuga’s deletion program

He stepped over to the good side when Otes tried to destroy dueling (Though that might have been due to the kidnapping)

I started to like him after we got to see him as a baby

Look at that face how can you hate him :(

But as a villain he is so flat and his arc didn’t really do anything. I know the whole thing was he got corrupted and power hunger after being exposed to underground duels because trauma, but he just felt so unnecessary in the grand scheme.

(Also why did he have a following??? What did Nanaho gain from him being around?)

Otes could have just stopped managing the flow of formats

(Side note why call them formats when they weren’t, all people did was change either areas or costumes, that’s not a new format and I wanted to rip my hair out during that entire thing)

There was literally no need for him to be a villain, I love him as a character when he stops being the villain but my god is it hard to watch him

Well it got easier as he got angsty about Luke, but that’s a topic for another post….

Beware I am not hating on Sevens or Yuga, the characters are kids so they can be irrational, I just feel we should be able to call out the irrationality of it all…and point out how like a lot of other ygo issues this could have probably been solved if a responsible adult to the very mentally unstable child to therapy (don’t put children in charge of global conglomerates, just because their ages can add up to an adults doesn’t mean they are responsible enough to run a company)
