Wukong was never a souless bad guy. He can be very violent but that's only when demons and gods would spite him. If someone hits him, he hits them back harder. He has a tendency to retaliate brutality but there are times he can be merciful too. It really depends on the situation and how wronged he feels. Of course, he has feelings as well! He loves his monkeys and Huagoshan and if anyone messes with them he'll make sure to smash anyone into meat patties! Sun Wukong is a very complex character with his own goals as well. He's not just some "haha chaos impulsive monkey". He's far more calculated than people give him credit for. There's a reason he's called the "intelligent stone monkey."

one thing I really really appreciate abt riz gukgak as a character is that he is un-self-aware to the max. he inhabits his body so completely. the arc that would usually be run as "I'm different and unable to connect with my friends in this way that everyone seems to be able to do and so something's wrong with me and I don't like myself" when it comes to riz is actually like no! I have literally no problems or praises for myself personally. I don't stand outside of my own self and judge it. it's phrased as "other people will eventually find someone more important to them than you" rather than centering it on his self-perception. he doesn't know why he doesn't have the best social life on earth even though he's not afraid at all to talk to other people. every time he sees himself in someone else's actions or behaviour he gets startled by it. his latest epilogue is realizing seemingly for the first time that he's not just an agent of causes but an actual character. he's my hero and I want to be him when I grow up

No but @korruptbrekker reached out to me and asked if I was interested in doing a collab (go check out their piece here, I implore you), and you know I could not say no to such a wonderful artist asking lil ol me to do something fun like this. We ended up doing a swap @laugaheim and I came up with ages ago that I so sussinctly refer to as a moodboard-sketch-lineart-render swap. Rolls right off the tongue, right? Nah but it's exactly what it says. Make moodboards, swap and sketch from the other's, swap again and line the other's sketch, and then swap once again and finish the piece you sketched.

so i was trying to look up 'biological' advantages to being a shorter man, ie. centre of gravity and whatnot,, but people kept listing the more 'social' benefits

and one of the most popular responses i saw was how shorter men are way less intimidating [to women] than really tall men

i also saw some responses about how, good or bad, shorter men typically draw less attention to themselves (because the taller ones stand out more)

i mean, like... OG Clone Force 99. Hunter on a squad with Tech, Crosshair, and Wrecker. every single one of them is at least a FULL HEAD taller than Hunter. plus Wrecker is jacked af. All of them are intimidating and attention-drawing just by their physical size without even needing to say or do anything.

did Hunter feel like he wasn't intimidating enough?? did he get sick of the teasing and mockery of his height (from outside and inside the squad) and wanted to look more tough, more badass?? was he jealous how everyone's eyes looked to his squadmates and not him?? did he feel totally invisible when he was with them and wished he'd be noticed more??

I've seen alot of takes from both toxic fh truthers and fh shippers that Scott will never ever get over Jimmy and will obsess over him until he dies forever which. I don't fault anyone for asserting considering that fucker has two jokes and one of them is lolol remember fh But. I think there's something to be said about how Scott has shown time and time again he really is not in love with any personal qualities Jimmy possesses (quite the opposite actually, he seems to find Jimmy obnoxious more often than not during third life including when Jimmy is not really even doing anything) but is rather entranced with the romantic fantasy that Jimmy brings.

Jimmy is, after all, young and pretty and in love and someone he feels relies on him and lets him feel useful so it's not hard to assign him as husband and leave it at that. I don't think Scott is quite in love with Jimmy tbh but I do think he's very much in love with his husband (jimmy). If that makes sense.

With that in mind, I think it's then fascinating when you look at the universes where FH assumably never existed or where he is able to find a replacement for his romantic fantasy relationship. Witchcraft Scott has Milo and Rat Scott has his weird platonic(????) thing with Owen and Pirate Scott focused on his brother instead, Scott tends to actually move on pretty well and adjust to being more. Chill.

Now then if I said last life Scott almost got to this point with his thing with GGG and Pearl specifically challenging his worldview. And then he fucked it all up. Then

There's this kind of hybrid artstyle in comics lately that I wanna learn how to do (i just wanna stare at them coz its too pretty). Would it be an insult to call it hybrid? Hybrid in a way that its more anime-ish/cartoon-ish...but still very much in comic artstyle. It's very stylized too, and it's more softer and expressive on the face, and I love it.
