UGLIFICATION: WHY EVERYTHING IS UGLY NOW

Caveat: I grew up in a church, moved away from it, and have been looking into learning the truth about it, off and on, ever since. There is nothing wrong if you choose to be Athiest. The entire struggle we're being put through are powers, trying to force us into choosing Church or Satanism and just as Scientologist, Neil Gaiman showed in the first Good Omens, the two sides always work together. That said, I agree with dude 1000%

We are under attack.

thinking about mizu from blue eye samurai. thinking. thinking so much. thinking about how mizu operates outside of gender. like we joke about her gender being revenge but straight up? it literally is. like she grew up as a boy and is most comfortable being a man, but behind that is the feeling of betraying himself because he isn't being honest about who he is and he lives in fear of being discovered. and when he lived as a woman, she found joy there as well. she fell in love, and though she wasn't good at it, she liked being a wife and enjoying a simple life. but in that life too, she isn't being honest about who she is. and when she reveals her true self, it's not a woman, she's a demon, a weapon. she's to masculine to be a woman, and too feminine to be a man. ultimately, mizu is most comfortable when they are being a murder machine. that's when they feel they are being the most true to themself. like a sword, they are neither man nor woman, but a blend of both, which makes them stronger.

I think it's incredibly important to remind folks on testosterone or folks who want to reverse patterned baldness about their options, but man, does it sometimes suck wondering how much of our insecurities about our hair stem from backwards beliefs that to strive towards beauty is not only preferable but "makes you good."

As someone with a rather masculinized body pre-medical transition, patterned baldness has always seemed neutral. Hair is incredibly important (hell, much of my own energy is spent on my hair because I like it), but the pressure to have hair, to have hair the "right way" is something that I absolutely loathe.

I'm not here to judge people who don't want patterned hair loss or baldness, I'm here to say that those traits will never make you lesser. Not only is it neutral, but it is also just as worthy and beautiful.

I adore the way trans people reinterpret and express new variations on masculinity and femininity. Each trans person adds to the mosaic of what makes masculinity and femininity in such a beautiful and bespoke way, and it's honestly so inspiring
