Käärijä fanzine update!

Alright! Thanks to your gentle lovely bullying, I've finally read most of the documentation I had and took some notes of the stuff I will need help with for the Käärijä hats fanzine. This is gonna be a lot of work to organize, so I can't do this alone!!

So I'm calling for extra hands. If you're interested in helping me, you'll need to be sure to be mostly available for the next 6 months (being a bit extra with the time, but better safe than sorry.) By that I don't mean that you need to be there everyday full time, I'm not either lol. I mean that you won't be travelling for four out of those six months or something like that hahaha.

WHAT I ALREADY HAVE

Project coordinator: Me!

Artists coordinator: Also me!

Graphic designer: My best friend @drifloonlady (she's not in the fandom, but she does design for a living and I trust her with my life. Also she knows how to speak in Käärijä-style english she's a gem. And also she hosted a weird music panel at our local con with me for the past decade she's gonna fit right in trust me)

I WILL NEED HELP WITH

(you don't have to apply for only one thing!)

Project co-coordinator: your role will be to help me deal with how to organize all of this. Discussing with me about deadlines, artist submissions, general ideas, schedules, sending emails, etc etc

Social media manager: I suck at social media, so we'll need to update people on tumblr on a regular basis, answer asks, make an faq, show previews of the zine… all of that

Native english speaker: English isn't my native language and I make mistakes by the ton. We'll need someone to english proof every "official" communication we make, especially in the zine. Having spelling errors in the final zine because I can't english would be a bit sad haha

Native finnish speaker, maybe?: If we end up printing it, giving a copy to Käärijä and/or any member of his staff who would like one would be lovely, and in this case having a message for them in finnish would be interesting, especially considering Jere's english. Unsure if we're gonna print it, but if you wanna apply just in case, feel free to!

If you apply, as I said make sure that you're gonna be mostly available in the next six months. I'd also prefer if everyone applying was an adult, I sadly don't watch my language enough to be kid-friendly if we're gonna be chatting on discord on a regular basis hahaha.

KNOW THAT THIS IS ON A VOLUNTEERING BASIS ONLY. NO ONE IS BEING PAID FOR THIS PROJECT.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT

All the people selected in this process will be in the following week added to a discord server, so we can chat about a lot of stuff on organization.

After everything is decided, we'll make a whole blog dedicated to the zine, and then finally open artists submissions.

I don't know when these steps are gonna be taken, hopefully sooner than me reading the documentation has taken. Now that my health is better and I can read properly without brain fog, that should help lol. Also not being alone should help a lot

Yuuta & Mitzy

[Dynamic]: The youngest sibling who adores attention and the elder who continually gives it to them. They both boost each other's egos. Whether it's complimenting their style or simply feeling confident that day. I can picture these two chatting about someone they don't like at the same time. And they would do it...ACCURATELY. If someone gets on their nerves that day, they are spilling to each other immediately. Over text or call it does not matter.😭

Actually, Mitzy would probably run over to Ramshackle to go and gossip. Out of breath and everything saying “Bitch you would not believe what just happened.”

And start ranting that whole night with the prefect.

Unfortunately, Yuuta will also be subjected to Mitzy’s fashion and makeup styling. Poor thang…consider yourself yassified.

Inside her journal, Mitzy would have an astrology-themed page spread for Yuuta. Everything is star-themed, including the glitter. All to express her feelings for a friend of hers. 

Yuuta & Grace

[Dynamic]: The eldest who checks up on the middle child whenever they look lonely or left out. To be honest, Yuuta would be the perfect person to help hone Grace’s potion making. I can see them doing experiment tests in an empty alchemy room to do some good practice. Grace would be flipping through an ingredient book holding a beaker with shaky meanwhile Yuuta is next to a fire extinguisher if anything happens.

Although Yuuta is supportive of Grace, the possibility of her experiment going wrong is very high. But hey they’re still cheering from the sidelines!

In conclusion, these two should have a friend picnic with a tarot themed tea set [or a bunny tea set if Leona gave her the idea. Probably saying that “Oh yeah they would love that.” With the most fakest smile in existence to trick Grace into buying it 💀]

Yuuta & Coco

[Dynamic]: The two eldest that bond over being older and are both chill as fuck. Since both Yuuta and Coco are into herbalism I can see them being medicine making buddies together. [My brain just had a cursed image of Coco and Yuuta cooking meth like Walter and Jessie…I’m so sorry.💀] Taking care of the people they love most by healing them. Their simple way of showing affection to others.

In a way, Coco would be very trusting of Yuuta. So much that she’ll just ask them to just keep an eye on her sisters to make sure they don’t end up in a heap load of trouble.

Coco: Hey, can you watch the girls real quick?

Yuuta: Yeah sure I don’t mind-

Mitzy: MY COMPACT WENT MISSING! WHO WENT THROUGH MY STUFF!?

Grace: I ACCIDENTALLY CREATED AN  ARMY OF TINY SLUDGE MONSTERS IN THE ALCHEMY ROOM!

Yuuta: Uhh actually I think I’m going to be busy…wait huh? Coco, where did you go!?

She disappeared

Strict. Orellia doesn’t really get close to people in general…but when she does it’s definitely not something that she thinks to label. I see her having a troubleshooting error if she were to think on it. However, if someone referred to her as their friend, and she enjoyed that person i know she would get really happy and would always introduce them as her friend first after.🥺

33. How do they greet someone they dislike / hate?

ignore them, if that and a clear ‘I don’t like you’ for some reason doesn’t get the hint across to leave her alone, she will easily physically escalate the situation.

55. What’s something they’re expected to enjoy based on their hobbies / profession that they actually dislike / hate?

Well..for a villain (and a fighter step) known to be violent—Orellia doesn’t actually like fighting. She likes winning tho 😉 people just keep getting on her nerves, just let her steal the priceless paintings guys! 😔 Why put up a fight! She already now’s she’s gunna win 😠

i appear as a cold, quiet, rational, and confident person. people say i have a resting bitch face and a look that says "i'm the best" which leads some to think i'm pretty enough to be like a model or smth, and that makes me really happy. also, i'm very introverted, and i really hate being like this lol. i try to be funny and sarcastic.

on the inside, i don't exactly feel so confident, i'm a person with lots of insecurities, very anxious, kinda depressed about everything, and i'm very sensitive about what people think of me. i try my best not to show it, and i'm pretty good at it. i don't want people to think i'm all of these things since it makes me feel weak.

i dedicate myself a lot to what i do, but i usually feel invisible and like a disappointment.

i try to shut off my emotions and distract myself with other stuff (such as writing texts/poems about what i'm feeling, sometimes it can get deep but no one will read them anyway) as much as possible, so sometimes i might seem like an angry person and i distance people without even noticing, it makes me sad, since i appreciate so so soo much every relationship i have, even if i don't show it.

He hates seeing you feel bad about yourself and when he has your attention, he gives you a huge smile and starts making huge hand gestures as he tells you loudly how creative you are for writing poems, how nice you are despite appearing a little scary and how you aren't a disappointment but a huge source of joy.

Tanjiro will ask for you to share some of your deeper poems with him so that he can really understand how you feel and how he could make you feel better, but if you don't want to share then that's okay also because he is still there for you.

Tanjiro won't give you a chance to try and distance yourself from him, his sister, or friends.

He likes you so much that he will declare that he loves you and he wants to take away your sorrow and replace sad memories with happy ones with him, Nezuko, and even Zenitsu and Inosuke in your life.

I'm starting to think perhaps I'm experiencing a bit of burnout when it comes to writing...

I still absolutely love AWLB and 100% want to see it finished. But once I actually sit down to try and write more of part 2. I just can't seem to do much at all, and end up feeling really tired and unfocused even when I've been thinking out how the scene could progress and such before I ever get near the keyboard.

So. I think unless I'm just really in the mood to write and nothing else. I really am taking a proper break in June and possibly July too. I know that'll slow the process of getting part 2 finished. But I don't really have a deadline anyway, and just want my fics and drawings to be fun for me.

Right now they are still fun. I just don't seem to have it in me to write much when it comes to part 2. So I think a proper break, and then coming back to the fic with (hopefully) a clearer head and a bit less exhausted. Well. Everything, is likely what I should do.

Remnants will continue to update from July and into the foreseeable future though! And I definitely wanna cut loose and draw more stuff for my AU's! Like doing more illustrations as a substitute for Art Fight in July like I mentioned. And I'm utterly determined to get AWLB part 2 finished. But I'm not gonna set a time frame for that or even try to. It happens when it happens. :3

As for art though! I've got some ideas for illustrations rattling around in my head that I'm excited to try and work with! I'm going to try and use different brushes and such with these pieces too and just really have fun with them and try to be looser with my art than usual for this July stuff! I'm looking forward to seeing how things turn out! :3
