Hi Jade, I hope you don't mind if I throw some book recommendations in your ask here, but I do book recommendations all day at work and I saw the tags on the visible mending post and I was like oh man. I know what I must do.

Simply Sashiko - 9784805316245 (by a Japanese author and even comes with templates!)

Visible Mending - 9781837830732 (goes over multiple techniques with different types of fabric)

Sashiko + Color - 9781644031070 (a translation from a Japanese crafting publication, and gives ideas for fun accessories to make and new twists on common stitches, but probably a good source to have for inspiration!)

Girl don’t even bother with them. They hate the fact their fanon view of Louis is challenged by textual evidence and hate that not everyone sees him as some submissive little virginal kitten compared to alpha alpha abusive big bad Lestat. They play the racism card so often it’s laughable, actually. Instead of talking about actual racism in the fandom they purposefully go after (and conveniently not @) people who have different takes from them and take posts out of context or twist the narrative to their liking. Of course they don’t @ you, that would require placing the actual text you wrote under analysis and they can’t twist the narrative as they want with that.

I’m absolutely done with these people. they’re all over X and I had to block all of them because I like Lestat and they can’t stand it, especially because I’m a black woman myself. Some of them called Lestat a violent slave owner and a woman hater, and others regularly throw fits when people remind them through canon evidence and analysis that Louis was a pimp and not some cute little victim of everyone else, and that says enough. Then they start to rant about how tumblr is hell for Louis stans and people of color. Yeah… no.

You can tell most of them never had to deal with a show or piece of media where everything isn’t shoved in their face and they actually have to think about stuff and use their brain. They allegedly like the show and have watched it multiple times but somehow can’t grasp that the pretty innocent perfect victim Louis they got in season one and worsened with their fanon isn’t the full truth. So don’t even bother, let them sulk all they want in their sorry ass rants.

First, ohhhh why would you ask me to choose between these two 😭 Damn, well, as much as I would LOVE to see more sweaty and bare men and women on screen, (put Nancy in workout clothes you cowards!) and more ARMS, I really do want TK and Carlos to ride horses together!! We know Carlos/Rafa can ride, and I would love Tarlos to do something fun together outside of the loft for once. Plus I would drool over seeing thick thighs around a horse and would love to see them both wearing cowboy hats and shirts tucked into their jeans 🥵 And of course all the "riding" potential that would come out of it! Honestly I do not because it is still so shocking to me that Nancy was just like, "I have $24k, here you go boyfriend of mine of maybe a year, if that"??? Who just has that money 😆and isn't concerned about being paid back?!? Maybe she had a very wealthy relative that gave her a hefty inheritance? I still do not have any pets 😭 but am hoping this is the year I can finally get a cat or dog!! But until then I make do with my mom and friend's pets!

I do enjoy a good parade! I really want to go to NYCs pride parade this year but we'll see! But also I need to have a plan of when and how we are leaving to avoid the rush home 🤣 There was one Halloween where we went to the big NYC parade and getting home on the subway and subsequent trains was not fun, so I always try to leave events like that early!

i'm running late on getting this out, but i'm still reeling over the results of the @kirbyoctournament! i can't quite believe that starstruck- my pint sized waddle dee- made it all the way to the tippy-top against such intense competition. the roster was full of such an incredible selection of wonderful, loveable, and creative characters!

it's heart-warming to know that people out there really love my little wanya and her story, and i'll carry that with me always! 🥰💖

i am so grateful to everybody who voted for and supported starstruck (and i!) throughout the tournament, and i'd also like to give my thanks to everybody- moderators, participants, spectators- who made this community event as cool and fun as it was!! i met many new people and learned about so many wonderful new characters!

what do you think the nordics would wear if they where to get married?🕊️

Norway - the western suit is probably the most common wedding attire in Norway, but many people choose to get married in bunads as they are very expensive clothes reserved for special occasions anyway. Norway would definitely wear a bunad to get married in.

Iceland - breaks more with tradition and chooses more modern options instead of the western suit and tie. A nice pair of trousers and a west with earthy tones to tie in with his outdoorsy life.

Denmark - "the most continental nordic" goes for the classic black suit but spices it up with a bow-tie instead of a tie.

Sweden - the western suit and tie for Sweden as it's the most common there as well, but he strays from the black and chooses blue colours for his wedding outfit.

Finland - a more modern suit and bow-tie situation with a dark green shirt, improved for a winter wedding with a thicker coat over. According to @/nordickies there are some instances where Finns will wear their traditional clothing for weddings, however I could not find many photos of this, but many photos of winter weddings, so that's what inspired his look.
