I take a moment to thank the Theoi for orchestrating the series of events that lead to me moving to "Little Greece" in February 2023

And I make my trip to the local pharmacy that's owned and run by a Greek family an Apollo devotional act.

Especially given that he made today perfectly clear blue skies despite the forecast for rain.

Okay, this will sound ridiculous to anyone who doesn't know my situation or what it's like to not be able to eat anything for long periods of time, due to illness. BUT:

I just had the most delicious broth. Just brown watery stuff with lots of flavours from meat and bones and vegetables, salt and spices. And just... that feeling of something so delicious filling my mouth, sinking into my tongue, warming my throat and settling into my stomach, without causing severe pain or upheaval is the best best feeling in the whole wide world. 😭

POV: I've had chronic inflammatory bowel disease with such bad ulcers and inflammations throughout my digestive system, which turned cancerous, that I lost my ability to digest anything almost entirely last year and was only fed parenternally via an intravenous port for 15 months and now I'm on chemo and after the second treatment and cauterized ulcers I'm extremely tired and aching, but digestive tract has deswelled enough to reliably absorb watery liquids again. :'3

my partner got me a new binder and it fits… beautifully. i haven’t had a chest this flat in a really REALLY long time, it’s the new gc2b 2.0 classic and as somebody with a large chest it works pretty well :3c i love them so fucking dearly t4t love is so pure and good

I’m glad he’s back so I can focus on being a composer over an idol.

I’m glad that the gods recognized that elders kept passing their burdens upon me without considering what I truly wanted for myself.

Thank you so much Mother Artemis for freeing me from the burdens of others and allowing for me to finally carve out my own destiny for myself instead of being forced to follow others.

You didn’t die for my sins you’re far too powerful for that which I admire but you did fight for them and I will never forgive that no matter what 🤞🏾

I'm an Apollo devotee...

Of course, I'm blessed with inspiration in all aspects of my life, including cooking.

And tonight he blessed me with some decent inspo after spending some hours creating his THREE altars.

Sometimes I actually feel like good food, which for anyone who's ex-hospitality industry like myself knows that means it's a night of eating in rather than tolerating restaurant food.

The food:

Greek salad with goat's cheese

Vegetables

High protein yoghurt dip with mint & garlic

Lamb (cooked blue as the gods intended)

Some Modena Italian balsamic vinegar on the side.
