HAPPY SMISSMAS TO YOU ALL

the fortress substitution team is already celebrating the holidays at base. in this time of the year the fighting and the missions stop, it feels like the world slows down for a week, just enough to make the life as mercenaries feels normal. just enough to celebrate being together.

the base is filled with the sweet smell of freshly baked cookies from Heavy, who made four full pans because she knows how fast they end. Medic is fast at reaching the first pan, eager to taste the sweets, while Engineer watch the scene with a drink in her hand. looks like the party is starting early.

the moment Scout and Sniper made their bet, the team knew, whatever was the winner, the outcome would be hilarious. unfortunately for Sniper, this time it's her time to be humiliated, forced by Scout to dress up in a stupid red smissmas dress. maybe some of Scout's confidence will rub on her.

from the moment the party started, Demo was already tipsy, but Soldier catched up pretty quickly. they start singing and yelling throughout the base, putting on a really peculiar show for the other members of the team. nonetheless, their joy feels contagious, bringing a smile on everyone's faces.

there, in the far corner, there's Spy, looking over everyone. the holidays, with their bittersweet feelings, can be difficult, but maybe a friendly hand can help. Pyro is always happy to light something up, and in that moment, they realize that Spy maybe is not that bad.

spending the holidays away from your family may not be the best, but maybe, just maybe, their family is much closer than they think...
