Jaiden: It's just like, such a good laugh! I wish I had a– a like, more-hearty laugh. You know? You know what I'm talking about? My laugh is kinda like... Uh, you know how you guys compare Foolish's laugh to like, the... window cleaner? Like a– [Squeaky window-cleaning sound]

Jaiden: I can't do it– [Laughs] It doesn't sound like that. I think mine is like... Because like, I do like, "Hee hee hee!" and I also like, breathe in, like– [Squeaky sound] You know? So I think– My laugh kinda just sounds like... Like, after you spray the window, and you're like, cleaning it. Like, wiping it down with a cloth. You know? That's what my laugh sounds like. ttm beach episode spoilers below!

something about how the game lets you decide when to end it all and come back to reality. press esc to leave. how it would be up to eva how long she'd stay there on that beach, but knowing she could never remain there forever. just a little while longer. something about how it greets you with the same image if you decide to open it again. the truth is, i never actually felt that way. do you begin the cycle again or do you find comfort in that temporary ending? and i just can't get past that it's the one i didn't want.

something about how player's actions represent eva coming back to the machine searching for closure. did she find it? will she? will we?

while it was only my first (of many) playthroughs, i think the way the game portrays dealing with grief is really heartwrenching and beautiful in how real but fleeting it all is.

for me, landduo are soulmates. i love the concept of soulmates but not in the romantic way that a lot of people think of it. it’s just the concept of two people connected by the red string of fate. sometimes they follow that string to meet each other again and sometimes it just happens bc it’s supposed to happen. they’re stuck with each other whether they like it or not. the only one left for comfort or the constant pest at their side. but they’re meant to circle and mimic each other like life and death, the sun and moon. doesn’t mean they’re opposites, just two ends of the same spectrum. they complete each other when they need to. i think it was meant to be with foolish being a totem of life and bad being a reaper of death. no matter how much they pretend to hate each other, they’ll always have the comfort knowing that the other is at the end of that spectrum. two sides of the same shitty immortal coin
