i’m unsure if you could tell from my profile, but i’m a little obsessed with challengers at the moment, and therefore i’m looking for some challengers rps!

some basic info about me includes: hi! i’m mika! i’m 18 (19 in less than a month)! i have a semi-lit/lit writing style, and prefer to at the very least write one decent sized paragraph! however, i do usually attempt to match my partner’s lengths as best as i can! i’d rather you be 18+ because of the subject matter of challengers!

About me and how I roleplay!

Challengers Roleplay Search

Hey! 21+ nb looking for other 20+ partners for some Challengers plots. I want to write Patrick against an Art and/or Tashi – if we can get a group of 3 together, I'd love to have a 1x1x1 server! 

I'm also down for 1x1 with a single character each or sharing one of the thirds. Basically, I'm flexible lol.

I write any length from text conversations to novella depending on what the context calls for; I'm open to literate partners who want to write multi-para/novella or a mix of multi and text-convo. In a 1x1x1 I'd prefer to mix text conversations and multi/para plots between channels.

I have a fairly busy schedule and do my best to respond as quickly as I can, typically within the day but potentially up to three at most for 1x1 novella replies. Anything longer than a week, I'll give a heads-up. Priority would be ensured for a 1x1x1 so everyone has a chance to interact. I'm super chill about response times and am only willing to rp with people who are equally as lax.

On to the fun stuff–

Plot-wise, I'm looking for pretty much anything with lots of drama. Angst, hurt/comfort, au, dead dove, cheesy Omegle-style, you name it. Smut ratios can be negotiated per plot; I'm happy to write either way. Kinks, limits, etc. discussed as needed. 

A few ideas that come to mind first:

Stormed in at a fancy resort, Art/Tashi run into Patrick and chaos ensues ((Think Forgetting Sarah Marshall vibes))

Instead of Tashi suffering her injury, it was Patrick/Art. What dynamics would the throuple have to balance with one of the other players losing their outlet?

What if Tashi was never injured at all? ((would Patrick turn to Art? Would Art play both sides? So much to work with with this one))

Some time into their marriage, Tashi encourages Art to explore his sexuality, so he sucks it up and heads to a gay bar, where who else does he run into but the (first and) last person he'd want to see – Patrick

please read this post before you read anything else. it details the au that i’ve been developing for art and it’s integral to understanding this sheet, because i’ll be mentioning things from it in this post.

Who the heck is my muse anyway:

art donaldson. one of the most influential and well-respected tennis players in the world. ranked ninth in the world before his retirement in 2024. won two aussie opens, two french opens, two wimbledons and one us open. formerly half of tennis’ favorite power couple. has been in court a lot more than he’d like. has told judges (and by extension, the public) a lot more about his private life than he’d like. his name is on every gossip magazine in the world for months. the buzz never really goes away, people just stop talking about it.

he’s a quiet man, and it’ll take him a bit to open up to you, even if he knew you before he became a world renowned tennis star. he doesn’t talk about his past. he doesn’t like thinking about it, and he doesn’t like the pity on people’s faces when he brings it up. he absolutely loves his daughter and is trying his hardest to make sure that she never, ever goes through anything like he did. he’s friendly, but he tries his best to keep to himself. if you need a hand with something, though, chances are art is willing to lend one.

Points of interest:

physical features

he’s got blond hair that he keeps short. when he was young, it used to be longer, but he got it cut right around the time he and tashi got engaged and he hasn’t let it grow out since. he doesn’t know if he wants to.

despite retiring, he’s still physically fit. he keeps up with the same exercise regimen he used to have when he played tennis, but he’s altered it to fit his less active lifestyle. the most visibly muscular parts of him are his arms. they’re just big. he does have abs, but you can’t see them that well. he’s a pretty bulky guy, though.

he’s always got some sort of look in his eye like he’s remembering something he’d rather forget.

he has a medusa tattoo on his right shoulder. he doesn’t have any other tattoos and he doesn’t plan on getting more. he was extremely hesitant to get it, but he went out and got it done one night in secret.

he’s very light on his feet. it’s ironic, considering how big he is, but he’s always been able to walk pretty quietly. he needed to be light on his feet for tennis and he never really learned how to not be.

What they’ve been up to recently:

court battles

he divorced his wife and got full custody of their daughter. he also got restraining orders against his wife and her ex-boyfriend. all of this was televised because his wife wanted to “clear her name” even though she was guilty. the court battles with tashi and patrick were basically art’s universe’s equivalent of the depp v heard case. he also was in court to sue netflix over some documentaries they made of the court battles.

pta

after art divorces tashi, he decides to become involved with the pta at lily’s school. he needs something to do now that he’s not playing tennis all the time, and he wants to make sure lily isn’t getting into trouble, so the pta seems like the best option.

coaching tennis

he started a program in their neighborhood where he coaches tennis for the local kids in the summer. it’s completely free and he’s sort of reclaimed his love for tennis through the program. he loves working with the kids and it’s a fun way to bond with lily. he coaches adults, too, but those are private lessons. he’s sort of picky about who he takes on as a student, and he’s still working out the kinks of coaching adults one on one. adult lessons are also free.

Where to find them:

school

he’s after school most days with the pta, and it’s probably the easiest place to find him. everyone knows him and he knows everyone. he’s always willing to help a parent or kid that approaches him with a question or a concern. he might not know how to address the issue, but he’ll try his best to.

tennis court

in the summer, this is the best place to find art. he’s there almost every day, and he’s typically there pretty much all day, too. if you need a water or a gatorade or just want to stop by and watch him coach, this is where you’ll find him.

recovery

i tend to write art post canon, which means that he’s already gone through all of the abuse he suffered at the hands of tashi and patrick. he’s working on recovering and trying to move on from what they put him through, but it’s a slow process. he’s got fourteen years of trauma to work through, after all.

Desired interactions:

stanford era

give me art in stanford. give me classmates and fellow tennis players concerned about the bruises he’s got and the way that he keeps brushing them off as clumsiness. give me eyes narrowed in suspicion when he flinches away from patrick at practice. give me students and teachers being concerned about art but getting absolutely nowhere because art isn’t telling them a thing.

therapy

art does not want to go to therapy. art needs to go to therapy. he’s got to work everything through and he can’t do that by himself, no matter how much he insists he can. i would love to do some threads with therapists, but just know that art’s trauma is incredibly heavy and will take time to work through.

journalists

this is one of my favorites. i would love for art to get interviewed at any point in his life, but for maximum drama, i’d say the best (worst) time would be during the court battles and following that mess. i also would love for him to do an interview a few years later, when he’s healed somewhat and is ready to set the record straight.

single parents/pta parents

art needs friends. preferably, he needs single parent friends, but he also just needs friends in general. he needs people that won’t look at him with pity and won’t try to tell him they’re sorry for him. he needs people that will be there for him and be friends with him.

tennis coach

does your muse have a kid that wants to learn how to play tennis? if so, art is probably their best bet. art is a good coach and he’s good with kids, so it works out. and the kids have fun with it, and art has fun with the kids. he also coaches adults in private, one on one sessions. he’s a little pickier with those, but your muse might have a chance.

pta dad

there is a very good chance that your muse will see art around school. he’s pretty approachable, so if you see him around, go say hi! he needs friends.

if you’re interested in shipping with art, that’s great! just be aware that he is a hard muse to ship with. he’s extremely cautious of falling in love and if he does end up falling for someone, he keeps his distance. if your muse has a higher sex drive, they might want to look elsewhere. art has an awful relationship with sex and it takes him a very, very long time to become comfortable enough with someone to even think about having sex with them, and an even longer time for him to actually do it. and even then, the chances of him having to stop are incredibly high. if this isn’t an issue for your muse, that’s great! feel free to approach me about shipping anytime. we can always work things out!
