Everytime I see or hear someone’s opinions on TVD, I’m reminded that you mfs do not like television. You don’t like entertainment and you don’t like drama.

Everyone keeps trying to put these types of shows in a realistic box and it doesn’t make any sense. The Vampire Diaries is a FANTASY SHOW. Hence the fucking word ‘vampire’.

I feel like after the Legacies Finale Hope and Caroline slowly started talking with each other, as in like a few months slowly, because Hope has had a pretty shitty and tentative thing with parental figures and Caroline doesn't want to push her too hard.

So she spends time with her own daughter and maybe at some point Josie comes back, maybe to visit, and obviously Hope is also going to be around Lizzie and Josie a decent amount and so Caroline uses that to her advantage to start talking and getting to know Hope, maybe asking about how she's doing and about the monsters, and maybe Caroline offers to tell her stories about her father because she also saw him in the same light Hope remembers.

Maybe during one of these conversations about her father, Caroline asks how the rest of the family is doing because she just assumes that the rest of the Mikaelsons have kept in contact with Hope or something, and she sees Hope's face drop and the pain in her eyes before it's quickly covered by fake apathy. Hope tells her she wouldn't really know since they haven't been in contact for a while and Caroline is confused now because she knows how much the Mikaelsons have given up for Hope but doesn't push it because of the lingering pain she can see in Hope's eyes and instead dives into the story of the Mikaelson ball and how Klaus danced with her.

Afterward, though, Caroline looks into Hope's school records and files finding out that the Mikaelsons didn't call or visit since Klaus, Hayley, or Elijah died. Freya had come for a few days when she had regained her memory of Hope after she jumped into Malivore but then that was it.

Maybe when she finds out Hope jumped into Malivore, Caroline looks deeper into files about the monster attacks and asks around the school for confirmation and additional information about what happened. The only constants seem to be her daughters and Hope. She can talk to Lizzie and Josie about this and the two do confide in her about how they felt facing the monsters but with the Mikaelsons not making contact Hope doesn't really have anyone to talk with.

And so maybe Caroline looks at Hope, someone who is a year or two over 18, and sees a wounded child that just wanted someone to love them and not lose them for once, a child that would let herself be used over and over again if it meant people would stay. Maybe she sees how Hope reacts to Alaric leaving and understands that while he wasn't the best parent, he was the only one around for her for a few years.

Maybe Caroline takes one look at Hope and wonders who her guardian is and finds out that gasp it's technically no one because the Mikaelsons signed custody of her over to the school so she could stay year-round at the school.

Maybe Caroline said fuck it and decides to officially adopt Hope and bring her under her name because she deserves someone to parent her and godamn it if no one else is going to do it then Caroline will. Maybe she brings it up to Lizzie and Josie first and the two of them would love nothing more than for Hope to be their sister legally since the three are already close.

Maybe when she finally brings it up to Hope, it's during a lull in another conversation about Klaus. Maybe Hope freezes and stares at Caroline quietly for a minute or two, wide-eyed and stunned. Maybe Caroline takes her stunned silence as rejection and immediately starts to backtrack before she gets an armful of the teary girl. Maybe Caroline sits there for a while, with Hope wrapped up tight in her arms and crying quietly, with Hope clinging to Caroline like she's her last lifeline until she stops crying.

And even then Caroline doesn't let go of her. She lets Hope cling to her, she strokes her hair and rubs her back but she doesn't let go. She's more than content to hold Hope until Hope herself is ready to let go, because she would wait however long it takes for this child.

And maybe Hope recognizes that. Maybe she recognizes that she's not getting rejected, that she won't get rejected, and allows the young, wounded part of herself to cling to Caroline, to cry because someone wants her. She lets herself be immersed in Caroline's warmth and in her scent and in Caroline's embrace that feels so much like her own mother's and just lets herself float in the moment. She tells Caroline she would love to be adopted by her after but for now, Hope is warm and content in Caroline's embrace.

After the adoption is officialized, maybe Hope starts sticking to Caroline's side a bit more. Maybe she allows herself to indulge in her more childish whims because she knows Caroline would never judge her for it. Maybe when the Mikaelsons come to Salvatore for one reason or another, Caroline chews them all out. She understands that they all have lives and are following their dreams but they should have checked up on their niece.

Maybe after, whenever someone asks Caroline how many kids she has, she answers them with the proud answer of three. She has three daughters who are as thick as thieves and understand each other better than anyone else. She has three daughters who will defend each other through everything. Maybe they're not her biological daughters but they are her daughters by choice and she will forever be grateful for having them come into her life.

well duh she didn’t know…that was the point, her reaction had to be raw for klaus to believe it. but I think elena was more mad that Stefan actually went to those lengths with her all to scare klaus, Stefan was wrong in this scene, of course he was! but he had every right to want revenge on klaus for what he took from him and in that moment Stefan wasn’t thinking straight he put all his thoughts and feelings into one emotion. His hatred for klaus, (and even elena thought it was outa pocket for stefan because she cries about it after in the scene) and IMMEDIATELY Stefan deeply regrets his poor decision making and he punishes himself for it, he distances himself from elena, he stops drinking blood to make himself weak so he wouldn’t have the power to do that again, he apologised to elena, made it up to her by helping her, respecting her choices. Elena forgived him, but Stefan still can’t forgive himself and that’s the beauty of Stefan, he’s such a beautiful soul at heart. and Elena knows that, she’s seen it and even when she tries to stir some feelings in Stefan, he doesn’t give in because he doesn’t forgive himself. “I hurt you” “If I let myself care, all I feel is pain” just because Elena didn’t know his intentions in that moment, she understands afterwards and she lets it go, yes she was probably still shaken up, a little sad, but her heart lies with Stefans so it’s in her blood to forgive him.

Damon begs. he might have waited but he doesn’t show he’s sorry, he just turns up at her house, has a breakdown to show how sorry he is.

+ what I don’t get is how was Stefan not sincere in his apology? how. How. HOW.

just because he didn’t outright say “oh Elena I’m so sorry” doesn’t make it any less of an apology. In fact his apology is better because he’s showing he’s sorry but he’s also showing his burdens, his guilt, the overwhelming feeling of care and love he has for Elena, and it pains him.

and Elenas already forgiven him because he showed his remorse at the mikealson ball when he helped her do what she wanted to do. so she doesn’t give up on him (and has never done so, because as I said earlier, she loves him so much it’s instinct, it’s in her blood, one soul they share, twin flame and all that)

Do you know what I despise about The Originals?

When the writers have the Mikaelsons be the most powerful witch bloodline when Esther was taught everything there is to know about magic by Ayanna a BENNETT WITCH. Esther went to Ayanna to turn her husband and children into vampires because Ayanna was far more experienced than her, but Ayanna refused, so Esther was forced to do the spell herself and probably had difficulties casting it. The spell probably took her days or even weeks to complete, while it probably would have taken Ayanna a night. Esther needed the help of Bonnie and her mother to kill her children, descendants of her mentor. She praised Bonnie for almost killing Klaus, which she stated was impressive. In TVD Bennett witches are the most powerful witch bloodline. Bennett witches have practically created supernatural creatures because Qetsiyah created the world's first immortals, which led to Esther getting the idea to turn her children and husband into the world's first vampires. So the TO writers really want me to believe that the Mikaelsons are the most powerful witch bloodline? First of all, Dahlia, Esther, Freya, and Hope aren't Mikaelson witches. They're Hagen witches. Dahlia was Mikael's sister-in-law, not his blood relative. She was Esther's sister, and their last names were Hagen. So, the women would be Hagen witches. Second, the TO writers want us to believe that the Hagen witches (I'm not calling them Mikaelson witches because they aren't Mikaelson witches. Mikael was an ordinary human before becoming a vampire) are the most powerful because Esther created vampires? Okay, but Qetisyah created immortality, a Bennett witch created The Five, Emily created daylight jewelry and the Gilbert rings, Bonnie literally stopped hellfire. They're powerful, how??? Also, Hope shouldn't even be that powerful at as young as 7. Come on, TO writers. She's 1/4 witch. The TO writers made her so powerful because she was the tribrid, but being part vampire and werewolf shouldn't make her magic so powerful. Especially since she was raised by Hayley for 5 years and her mother was a vampire-werewolf hybrid. Where did she get all that power??? LOL. This is why Hope Mikaelson shouldn't have existed. The first born Mikaelson witch crap was pulled out of the TO writer's ass because that didn't make any sense. I would have believed Hope was that powerful if her mother had been Bonnie. Bonnie is part of an extremely powerful bloodline, so Hope being so powerful at 7 years old would have made a lot more sense.

That's the power of white witches in tvdu! They get to love their magic, have their empowered moments and yet we have Bonnie be physically in pain whenever she casts a spell and etc.

I don't get why people say Esther is one of the most powerful witches: she isn't, she has never been and she'll never be. She had to go to Dahlia for a simple fertility spell that she wasn't able to do, she learned everything she knew thanks to Ayana and if I remember correctly, she was always channeling covens or witches. And don't even get me started on her being the "original witch", as if Esther had been the first witch to ever walk the earth. That title belonged to Qetsiyah if anything.

Though it's important to know that Dahlia actually doesn't have a last name, I don't blame you for calling her Hagen but that's her fanon surname, one made by TikTok and they're constantly changing it, but I do agree. The whole Mikael Mikaelson thing was done badly too, that's not how viking surnames work and they screwed up badly with naming Rebekah and Freya "Mikaelson", it should've been Mikaelsdottir but let's ignore this little ramble of mine and continue.

The Bennett bloodline was done badly, that's a fact. They're the creators of everything and yet they were used and discarded in an awful way. We're supposed to buy Esther is this amazing witch for creating vampires (by stealing someone's spell, mind you) when her modified spell had awful errors. The Mikaelson aren't even that powerful when it comes to magic; if Esther was that amazing at witchcraft, Kol and Freya wouldn't have been the only ones to inherit her magic.

Don't even get me started with Hope. Her character has been a plothole since the very first moment no matter how much the writers twist it, and it's very clear she only existed in the first place because she's the Renesmee of Tvdu (the Malivore plot was thought of way later, so don't bring that up) and I completely agree, she shouldn't have been that powerful. Klaus doesn't come from a strong witch bloodline and neither does Hayley, I understand they both descended from the original packs of werewolves but that only means Hope would have been feral and overpowered once she unlocked her werewolf curse, something that didn't happen.

If they wanted Hope to be so powerful just by being the tribrid, then Bonnie should have been her mother without a doubt. She's one of the most powerful witches in tvdu, she unlike Hope has a strong witch bloodline and it is what would have made the most sense plot-wise.

But we all know what the writers think about black women and having an important role in the series.

Few stupid and less stupid headcanons of the Twilight universe. 

A/N: These are my own opinions and I realized that I had a lot less to say about the Twilight universe than I had with TVDU. @sarahelizabeth_talks on TikTok is amazing and I pretty much agree with her every Twilight take. The stupid ones are more like they don’t have any canon content behind them so they are just what I think of.

The less stupid ones…

Jane and Alec view Aro as their dad and on the other hand Aro is super protective of them (especially with Jane). More than once over the centuries the twins have called Aro their father as an accident and Aro respectfully ignores it because he knows that if the twins had realized it they would have been mortified with shame. 

All of the higher Volturi guards have movie nights where they talk shit and talk about any drama that’s happening with the lower guards. They also get jealous when Aro is trying to make a vampire join the coven because of their powers. 

Carlisle and Aro were dating when Carlisle was a part of the coven. (Fight with the wall.) (I feel like I want to write a gothic, dark academia, religious undertones fic about them!!) 

Carlisle was born in the 1700s so he is quite religious and he goes to church with Esme on major holidays. It makes him feel more human and helps him to remember how he doesn’t want to hurt people. 

Rosalie and Emmett get married again every once in a while, that’s a fact. But I think Rosalie’s dresses are never pure, stark white. She likes to be a bit out of the box with stuff like this. 

Jessica will be a successful woman who takes no shit from anyone. She and Angela will stay as really good friends their whole life. (Justice for the human characters!!)

The stupid ones…

After a few years of happy family life, Bella will break up with Edward and they try to co parent Rigatoni (Renesmee) but both of them are really bad at it. (After that Bella will start to drink human blood and Edward will be disgusted by it.)

Renaissance (Renesmee) will be weirded out when she realizes that her parents were so okay with the whole imprinting thing. For a while she doesn’t speak to anyone of the coven + Jacob. 

If you read the similar post about the TVDU, in that one I said that all vampires are some sort of queer and I would like to say the same shit with this universe too but fuck Twilight vampires are so heteronormative. 

All of the Cullens have so many unpaid speeding tickets and that's one reason why they have to move around. They also owe millions to the tax department. 

Caius is a fashion nerd. The man loves expensive and luxurious clothing. 

Jacob in his wolf form once slipped while running next to a river. He fell into the water being drenched. Later, all of the pack members laughed at him and he is still a bit embarrassed about it but it’s all in good fun. 

Bella was really grossed out when in New Moon Edward states that he is like 109 and for a moment Bella was ready to break up with him.

Why does Celeste get so much hate?

My latest Celeste tiktok edit got me thinking about the different treatments of Elijah's love interests and Klaus' love interests. Specifically, Aurora and Celeste.

Because when you think about it, they are basically the same character. And yet, Aurora is treated with a lot more sympathy than Celeste.

Celeste was first introduced as a past love of Elijah. Elijah states that she was one of two great loves that he has ever had. We see that he was so consumed by this love that he, for the first time in 800 years, waivered from his family. This made Klaus angry and he had her brutally murdered.

Similarly, Aurora was Klaus' first love (yes, I know there is a debate on first or second love. I think she was his first). Klaus was so in love with her, that he wanted to bring her on the run with him and his family. However, when Aurora reveals that Klaus was responsible for his mother's death to Elijah, Elijah accidentally compels her to breakup with Klaus. He then proceeds to compel her to pretend to be Rebekah for 100 years.

To me, there are very similar stories. Except, at least Aurora isn't murdered. Because of this, they both turn to revenge against the Mikaelson family for the harm the Mikaelsons have committed against them. They even have similar runtimes on the show -- Celeste is on TO for 13 episodes and Aurora is on for 17 episodes.

Yet I've seen a lot more people support Aurora's hatred of Elijah and get angry at Celeste's revenge against Klaus. The most logical, and probably accurate, reason is that Klaus is the fan favorite and the show centers every storyline around him, reducing Elijah to a background character. Which reduces his love interests down to background characters. This is a big reason why people will "never forgive Elijah" but don't care that Klaus killed Celeste.

But the arguments against Celeste are often that "she was doing too much." While the same people will support Aurora because she is the female Klaus. Celeste essentially toyed with the Mikaelsons for the better part of half a year, but Aurora buried Rebekah at sea, murdered Camille, and tried to murder Elijah and Freya. If Aurora wasn't doing too much, I don't think it's fair to be angry at Celeste for trying to get her revenge.

I also see so many people saying 'if Elijah hadn't compelled Aurora, they would still be together,' but where is that logic with Celeste? I don't even think Celeste and Elijah get their own ship name when she was just as important to Elijah as Aurora was to Klaus.

Aurora typically makes lists of people's top favorite characters. She was so popular that they brought her back in Legacies. Celeste hardly got a mention once her character was killed, even though she was an ancestor on the Other Side and still could have played a role in the witches.

The TVDU has a habit of sidelining POC characters and it seems Celeste is just another woman of color who does not get enough credit. After all, her plotting is what set all of The Originals into motion.
