When I took on this challenge from @joshttew, the first thing that came to mind was a towering building with glass everywhere. But the game’s height limit made it incredibly challenging. So much so that I gave up—at least for a while—because nothing I tried fully solved the problem or matched the vision I had in my head.

This week, though, I decided to give it another go, and… LOOK AT THIS BEAUTY! Isn’t it absolutely stunning?! I’m beyond proud of how this build turned out. 😭

For those curious about the technical details, here’s how I made it work: the building actually has only 5 floors (not counting the garage), but thanks to this amazing tutorial, I was able to make it look much taller. Since windows can’t be placed on walls altered this way, I picked a wallpaper that mimics the appearance of windows. In other words, the whole thing is just an illusion!

This game can be incredibly frustrating at times, but with a little creativity and a lot of patience, you can achieve some truly amazing results.

Cuando acepté este reto de @joshttew, lo primero que me vino a la mente fue esto: un edificio súper alto con cristal por todas partes. Pero el límite de altura del juego me lo puso increíblemente difícil. Tanto, que terminé rindiéndome… al menos por un tiempo, porque nada de lo que probaba solucionaba el problema por completo o encajaba con la visión que tenía en mi cabeza.

Sin embargo, esta semana decidí intentarlo de nuevo y… ¡MIRAD ESTA MARAVILLA! ¿No es absolutamente increíble? Ay, estoy muy orgullosa de esta construcción. 😭

Para aquellos que tengan curiosidad por los detalles técnicos, os cuento cómo lo hice: el edificio en realidad solo tiene 5 pisos (sin contar el garaje), pero gracias a este maravilloso tutorial, conseguí que pareciera mucho más alto. Como no se pueden colocar ventanas en las paredes que se alteran de esta manera, usé un papel de pared que las imita bastante bien. En resumen: ¡todo es una ilusión!

Este juego puede llegar a ser jodidamente frustrante a veces, pero con un poco de creatividad y mucha paciencia, se pueden lograr cosas realmente impresionantes.

i watched f4, but admittedly without paying Too much attention because. ive read the entire boys over flowers manga, ive seen both the jdrama And the kdrama (formative 2000s kdrama experience that it was) so i mostly just skimmed through for first…. i do think there were plenty of changes i couldve paid more attention to though! anyway, this is an ask that says ‘go ahead and talk about f4’ :)

rowan ily. so i went into this show pretty much completely blind. like i knew it was a remake but i hadn't seen the jdrama or kdrama and i hadn't read the manga, and i hadn't even heard much about the plot before watching. all i knew was that first, tu, milk, and dew were in it and that was it and that's really all i needed skjdfhskjf

but this show like. fully grabbed me by the throat and shook me around like a rag doll. like i wasn't expecting to fall as hard for all of the characters as i did. especially thyme! like i was still team "this bitch needs to die" in like ep11 KFHDKJFH. they all just made me fall in love with them in their own way.

here's the thing though. as much as i loved it, the last like two and a half episodes really pissed me off for a number of reasons. like first of all it just felt like half of the plot happening in those eps was just to get it to sixteen eps. like seriously? thyme having memory loss in the last ep? and then his mom just SUDDENLY deciding to give it up cause of gorya's speech? bullshit honestly

the thing is though, i probably would have been fine with all of that were it not for the fact that in the second half of ep14 they completely fucking obliterated thyme's character development. like okay, i get that he was fully under the impression that gorya had been lying and was a gold digger, right? but it makes no fucking sense to me how he can just. change that quickly. how the fuck did he go from literally talking about wanting to put people first when he leads the company to leading it as ruthlessly as his mother within a DAY?? and it would have just been SO MUCH MORE IMPACTFUL if he had truly believed gorya was a gold digger but still taken the lessons he'd learned from being with her. it would have been amazing to see the time skip but instead of thyme following his mother's lead, he's still fighting her, still trying to get her to lead with kindness. and think of how that would have hit his mother!! her thinking that gorya was the only reason he was acting like that but instead he turns around and proves that he really did change. that he cares about people and doesnt want to treat them like pawns in a game anymore and her having to face that?? like it would have been so good!!!

but no thyme just fell back into old habits. and it just makes it seem like the only reason he was doing that in the first place was so he could be with gorya. like he didn't really care about being kind and treating others with respect. most disappointing thing fr.

that being said i did genuinely enjoy the show for the most part and these characters are all my new blorbos. also in terms of ships i'm team gorya and her four boyfriends <3333

ARE YOU THE ONE?

Ep1: that nanny or gonggong or whatever, I need her to shut up. I suspect FL was the assassin in the mask. She lost her memories so somehow she was married. Oh wow... ML was her enemy. Her name is Liu Miantang. Sksksks that hug was so awkward like obviously ML was not married. She wld be so mad when she discovers the truth or regains her memories. The neighbour at the back was so loud. The way FL described him contradict his actual characters as shown in the next scene sksksksks.

Ep2: so ML was a noble. They thought he was interrogating but actually she was interrogating him instead sksksksks he was brought down by her and had to admit he was useless man sksksksks. He said that to her.... It was touchingly sweet words but IT WAS ALL LIES.

Ep3: omg we are going to see FL husband... The 2ndML probably slash villain?. OK not bad. Sksksksks not his friend implied that ML was impotent as excuse that he didn't want to meet her skskskks

Ep4: omg that actress who played the Empress Xuan in LLG, happy to see her in here. Well... Ofc this biaomei wld be a villainess even ML knew that she was scheming and she already knew about FL existence ughhh. Oh wow the physician said before that they found her with her tendons cut and the flashback to when ML found her stranded unconscious in the water oh my... What actually happened? Who did that?

Ep5: Omg that Miss He brother will be a lot of trouble more than pervert chen tu. A misogynist through and through. Like father like son. I want their business to suffer for their arrogance!!!

Ep6: She was very hurt that he was so dismissive of her effort. I'm glad she mentioned divorce although she didn't know she was deceived. Love seeing ML frustrated that he got FL mad at him. Wait Miss He will be FL rival too?? Goodness. ML can choke on that guilt coz the lies... She was sad that she misunderstood him while in fact...

Ep7&8: Proud and happy for FL that she successfully conquered those stingy trade guild merchants. That Young Master He had such punchable face huh. Ahh so it was this Yun btch who did something to FL before....

Ep9: Can't stand that smug face of shi Yi kuan. He needs to be taken down a peg or two. ML wanted to matchmake FL but he himself was jealous of every man near her skskskkskskw.

Ep10: Ptooih! ML wanted to keep her as his concubine, over FL dead body. I'm sure FL wld not stand for that!! He started to like her, i mean who wldn't melt when someone was so devoted to them. Sksksksks I love that FL cursed the real him to his face. Miss He was capable but had no backbone at all. The way he fought with the neighbour was so funny like it really showed him as a son of noble.

Ep11: love that Zhao Quan the physician talked some sense into Miss He. What he did was right after all and she needed to hear that. So that Prince was the behind Lu Wen like he didn't support him directly but he used Lu Wen for his own goals without LW knowing through Yun btch. Yayyy Miss He got her closure and can move on. Omg one of the scenes in credit was played in this ep, the start scene. ML must feel so guilty that he wanted to cry.

Ep12: Wait... Miss He misunderstood FL omg... She wld be so mad at FL while the one who need to be blamed was ML. Yayyy the Imperial decree meant to subdue came in perfect time like he was reluctant to marry that biaomei too and this presented the perfect excuse to cancel or halt their marriage phewww. Thank goodness that biaomei was so fickle like that. PLEASE CANCEL THE MARRIAGE. PLEASE LET THAT BTCH BIAOMEI PLAN RUINED! Aww he wanted to be with FL for the last time before he goes to Jinjia pass.

Ep13: I want ML to write his real name instead on the marriage certificate coz at least that one hurdle passed. YAYYY THAT BTCH PLAN WAS RUINED THANK GOODNESS ML SET OUT EARLY! Hmm... The problem here is FL still was deceived and they didn't even get married ughhh. OK so Miss He rightfully(kind of) guessed that ML disguised himself to "keep a mistress". Zhao Quan you need to speak more clearly omg

Ep14: sksksksks at least it clear a bit omg. Tbh I kind of ship Miss He with Zhao Quan but let's see how it went. Zhao Quan you were so naughty to prank her like that sksks

ZHAO QUAN WHY YOU INTRUDED AT THAT MOMENT ML GOING TO CONFESSED UGHHH. That's right cut off those parasites Lian family. His mother was duped by their acting nice.

Ep15: Why I don't hv a good feeling about this drama ending? It looks fine and dandy for now but what if the ending was absolutely bad? Omg don't hv high hope. Thank goodness Miss Shi Xueji had a brain can see from miles away what a bitch that yun girl was. I hope she and Lu Wen can be happy.

Ep16: oh wow FL identity. So it was that Prince Liu Pei behind the illegal iron mining. Her memories appeared bit by bit especially in Xizhou and she started getting suspicious.

Ep17: Did ML/Xingzhou seriously not guard the A Guashan when he must know A Guashan wld be targeted in Xizhou?? Omg Miantang just remembered and met that elderly miss Zhao and Haichao and now they died :( it seems like the assassins under that yun btch. OMG FINALLY SHE REMEMBERED EVERYTHING. ML/Cui Xingzhou, prepare to suffer and grovel. I was right at the start, Miantang was the assassin with the bow and mask. They both were really enemy. That was so crazy.

Ep18: it wld be a storm starting from this episode. Buckle up! Oh so Ziyu(not Lu Wen) was actually royalty?? Her uncle thought of everything. Good, I don't want him to die.

Ep19: Yess they killed that cao assassin. Things will come to a head. She want to use him as Lord Huaiyang and him... Idk. Xingzhou felt helpless and useless as he wanted to save A Gushan but the Imperial decree put a stop to that.

Ep20: HIS MOM iswtg... If she keeps mentioning about that two face bitch renewing engagement with Xingzhou I'm gonna be so mad. Xingzhou had to suffer bcs his mother was not smart enough omg. He had to be the bad guy. Ugh I like that he was direct telling the engagement was nothing more than alliance for mutual benefit. Omg he mentioned Miantang. Idk what to say about his mother coz she will just believe those liars mother and daughter. Sksksksks I live for Zhao Quan antic with Miss He. That was so sneaky of Young Master He to trap both of them. Well... I thought he want to tell her everything after the war ended. I want them to get married and work together against the villains. It's funny bcs before this Miantang was the one who pampered him so much with love and now it was the opposite. That was so intimate tho to rub her stomach to alleviate the period pain. Ouuu Zhao Quan was so cool. I hope Miss He heart will melt a bit. Can't really blame Miantang, he treated her indifferently from the start only begin to like her recently when his heart melted, unfortunately... Well he had works cut out for him.

Ep21: his mom ughhh why his mom cannot have a smidge of suspicious to this biaomei. Like can't you see what your son said was the truth earlier that she only want the princess position not love your son?!! It's gonna be hard bcs when Miantang got back her memories, the feeling that she had Lord Huaiyang as enemy was also back. At least Xingzhou explained what actually happened that made him so mad at the Mount Yang leader and Miantang can see that she misunderstood him. I think it was outsider(that yun bitch with prince Liu Pei) that distrupted their agreement. I guess she didn't want to disrupt their umm "happy" world even though she already knew who he was. Hmm... She acknowledged that he saved her life. Omg Xingzhou described their relationship to his mother... He was happy that Miantang loved him just the way he was. The useless dandy lmfao. Little did he know that was about to change yikes. Still, if his mother denies the happiness he wants, his mother can gth. You were swimming with sharks that you didn't even know in front of your face and then you want your son to bear it too.

A few weeks ago, my computer broke down. It had been acting strange for a while, so it didn’t exactly catch me off guard, but it did stop me from reaching my goals, and that’s been frustrating. Even though this content drought was beyond my control, I still feel upset about it. And as much as I love Christmas, it only made things harder.

Cuando decidí compartir mis creaciones con la comunidad, me hice la promesa de publicar al menos una cada semana. Quería demostrarme a mí misma que podía comprometerme con algo y ser constante. Y lo estaba logrando.

Hace unas semanas, mi ordenador dejó de funcionar. Ya llevaba un tiempo comportándose de forma extraña, así que no me pilló por sorpresa, pero sí me impidió seguir cumpliendo mis objetivos, y aunque esta pausa en el contenido fue algo que escapó de mi control, no puedo evitar sentirme molesta y terriblemente frustrada por la situación. Y, aunque adoro la Navidad, esta vez complicó aún más las cosas.

De corazón, quiero pedir disculpas a los Simmers que estuvieron suscritos a mi Patreon durante diciembre y principios de enero y no recibieron lo que esperaban. TS3 - LS3SR03 (No CC)

ENG:

I never say no to a good challenge, so when @joshttew challenged me to build a modern-style apartment building on a small lot, the only viable answer was YES. And, well, @joshttew, I hope the result meets your expectations.

I'm not entirely satisfied, but that's pretty typical for me. I would have liked to make a taller building, and I tried using several tutorials and tricks, but the lot kept bugging out, the game would crash, or it just didn’t feel right or fit what I had in mind. Because, even though it's possible to bypass the height limit (or at least make it look like you did), the "floors" added above that limit are really limited in too many ways. Well, EA making things tough for us... What a surprise, right?

Initially, my idea was to make a building with many floors (10-15), with the livable apartment on the top floor, and everything on the outside made of glass. Literally everything. But I ran into two problems: following this tutorial, the livable apartment couldn’t be at the very top, and this method, although it would let me do it, wouldn’t let me make it entirely glass, mainly because you can’t place windows on the levels altered this way.

So I gave up and decided to build something simpler to start with. And when I say start, I mean this isn't finished yet. I’m pretty stubborn, and I still don’t know how I’m going to make that idea a reality, but it will happen.

(If any of you know a way, I’d be very grateful if you could share it with me.)

I hope you like this build, and most of all, I hope @joshttew thinks I’ve completed the challenge. It would be a relief to know that all the rage, anxiety, and frustration I went through in the process were worth it HAHAHAHA.

Yo nunca digo que no a un buen reto, por lo que, cuando @joshttew me desafió a construir un edificio de apartamentos de estilo moderno en un solar pequeño, la única respuesta viable era SÍ. Y, bueno, @joshttew, espero que el resultado esté a la altura de tus expectativas.

Yo no estoy del todo conforme, pero muy pocas veces lo estoy. Me habría gustado hacer un edificio más alto, y lo intenté por medio de varios tutoriales y trucos, pero se me bugueaba el solar, me crasheaba el juego, o simplemente, no me convencía o no cuadraba con lo que tenía en mente, porque aunque es posible evadir el límite de altura (o al menos que así lo parezca), la verdad es que los "pisos" que añadas sobre ese límite estarán muy limitados en demasiados aspectos. Vaya, EA poniéndonos las cosas muy difíciles... Qué sorpresa, ¿eh?

En un primer lugar, mi idea era hacer un edificio de muchas plantas (10-15), que el apartamento habitable estuviese en la planta superior, y que, además, todo su exterior fuese de vidrio. Literalmente todo. Pero me encontré con dos problemas: siguiendo este tutorial, el apartamento habitable no podría ser el de arriba del todo, y este método, aunque sí me lo permitiría, no me dejaría hacerlo enteramente de vidrio, básicamente porque no se podrían poner ventanas en los niveles que se alteraran de esa manera.

Así que me rendí y decidí construir algo más sencillo para empezar. Y digo para empezar porque esto no se ha terminado. Soy muy cabezota, y aun no sé cómo voy a conseguir que esa idea pase a ser una realidad, pero así va a ser.

Espero que os guste esta construcción y, sobre todo, que @joshttew considere que he cumplido el reto. Sería un alivio para mí saber que toda la ira, ansiedad y frustración que me ha generado en el proceso han servido para algo JAJAJAJAJAJA.
