Hi!

I know this is silly but I love how different both Ambrosius are sjds

Did my best to make a biblically accurate movie Ambrosius waa (also realized I draw him however I want 🧍 I mean, like I do with any character I guess whwh)

Also I love the comic art style because their hands are so tiny you can barely see them 100/10 very cute, also love that little blush on Ambrosius' cheeks (if I'm not wrong that's from Ballister's memories?? anyways he's so cute)

Also the thingy is based over this image, but with a good ending because both designs are cool sjddks

La relación latinoamericana con la muerte es fascinante. No digo que todo esté conectado con todo pero creo que mí profe de antropología estaba en una interesante cuando dijo que la colisión y el sincretismo del catolicismo mediterráneo con las creencias de América y de África generó algo muy interesante acá.

Ni sé por dónde empezar con esto pero lo que noto en Europa y en la América anglosajona es que la muerte es algo aparte de la vida. En América Latina al difunto se lo reza y se lo pide que rece, se lo tiene en distintos recordatorios en fechas y lugares físicos, es como una actitud cordial con los difuntos y la otra vida.

Yo en particular la veo de lejos porque yo, en mí experiencia personal, tengo como muy marcada la distinción entre vida y muerte. Pero tengo muchísimos conocidos y amigos que no. Que van al cementerio a pasar el día y tomar mates. Ni hablemos del Día de Muertos en México, por ejemplo, que tengo entendido que era una costumbre mucho más extendida. Es una cosa muy interesante.

#cosas mias #cabe aclarar que no significa que los rituales o las costumbres precolombinas hayan sobrevivido así intactas #pero sí cierta actitud en general de que los difuntos no se van del todo #y al contrario de la cultura anglosajona donde el fantasma es alma en pena siempre acá es algo cordial #nosotros rezamos por ellos y ellos rezan por nosotros #no significa tampoco que no tengamos nuestro concepto de dolor y alma en pena #La Luz Mala por ejemplo (directamente relacionada con la conquista)
