So unfortunately I was really ill last week, but it did give me time to finally watch Dark City (which I loved and wow doesn’t The Matrix steal an awful lot from it!) So of course I had to do some Dr Schreber studies. I thought he was a great character, but his hair did give me awful flashbacks to the middle partings guys had in the 90’s 😂

trey clover and responsibilities; a meta after his book 7 dream

[spoilers for jpn server book 7 content ahead!]

as the eldest brother trey has always been the 'responsible' one. but his wish is to live in peace, to never have expectations thrust onto him (hence his constant downplaying) but instead to use his passion and skill (baking), which is the one thing he doesn't downplay, to make the people around him happy. to see them smile while eating his food, to 'grow', for him to be able to see them enjoy themselves and for himself to do what he enjoys without restrictions. yet as cater reveals, not only did riddle freeze him out after his excitement (which as you can imagine, was painful for trey, as if the childhood scolding wasn't enough trauma. ESPECIALLY as he sees riddle as like a, to quote him, 'younger brother' thus 'his responsibility'), but he was voted for vice housewarden as a result. all these responsibilities and expectations were thrust upon him when all he ever wanted was for riddle to be 'free', for everyone to get along, for him to be useful to others. and so trey gets a first row seat to riddle and all his changes and his struggles and his anger, and he's forced to take a role and he ends up taking one of an enabler, someone passive. he ends up 'painting over it' and scrambling for a sense of normalcy amidst all this, and as vice housewarden the blanket of duty he feels heavily falls on him -- trey has always put importance on responsibility and his image, like when he talks about upperclassmen needing to set a good example for their juniors. and so he suppressed his own emotional turmoil and focused only on those around him, on sorting out trouble and pacifying riddle, while ignoring his own feelings on the matter and refusing to take a stand.

all this culminates into the overblot, and trey's book 7 dream with chenya as the dorm leader says it all -- trey wanted somebody to understand him. he wanted someone who knew he would have a tough time, who not just knew but understood his past with riddle and could help him through it, to not just alleviate him from responsibility but enable him to take a role where he thrives best. he needed somebody to rely on. for once, to not be the one being relied on. cater came the closest but cater also mentioned that he kept his distance (their friendship is a whole other can of worms) and trey isn't the type to confide, either. the 3 heartslabyul senpais are a concoction of things unsaid, and so comes ace and deuce and heartshackle to give it to them straight -- leading to the overblot, but also recovery. and so in the dream trey is once again, as leona aptly implied, putting himself in a position where 'he can help grant riddle's wish' or rather he can help riddle in finding freedom from his mother (in this case through sweets), in a bid to wrestle control where in reality he constantly felt helpless to say no or to stand up to riddle. and by thinking of it as something he can control, he indirect puts more responsibility onto himself in reality, despite never having wanted it. so he's stuck in this place where it's emphasised how in 'real life' trey has expectations and responsibilities he never wanted. he never got to have his peaceful life.

and in his dream, it's the exact opposite; the responsibilities he has are ones he chose/wants, and at the same time, he has his peaceful life. he makes those around him happy, and in turn, he is happy too.

Got anymore doey vore art of yours?

Didn’t have any others but I did make some as soon as I saw this ask! Thank you for the excuse to draw and think about my blorbo.

So I had multiple ideas but not sure how well I can execute them. Everything is going to be under the cut. Also very rough sketch art but it should be mostly legible!

First idea was how each of the 3 kids try and “eat” the player.

Or maybe during the big chase at the end the Mathew head lunges forward to swallow the player before Kevin can make the Doey mouth bite down on them. And Kevin can’t attack the Mathew heat too much cause it hurt him too.

Or something silly like Doey constantly elongating his neck as he swallows the player cause it feels very silly.

Or hammock Doey (he’s flattened out) but then kinda just wraps around the player cause he wanted cuddles.

There are so many ideas.

But I went with the first one cause it’s cute and silly. Also took me like all day but it was a good break from other stuff so thank you!

And here’s a breakdown of my thought process

Jacks favorite methods for nomming the player is more childish and silly.

Pushing them in via a hug

Flopping onto them and reforming with them safely inside

And of course being like a frog

Then there’s Mathew. He prefers it all to be consensual and sweet. Something to rest with and something for him to focus on despite his other responsibilities

Usually when he’s down he asks kindly if the player is ok helping him with cuddles. He knows being eaten can be scary but crawling into a safe space usually isnt. So he likes to open up his stomach. Using the 3 hands to hold the dough apart before closing slowly behind the player.

And for comfort. He likes to be the one to help others. But he sometimes needs help too. So he offers a safe space. A vulnerable space for them both inside. Doing the same as above. And usually letting some tears fall and some soft words of affirmation to be shared in such a small moment.

And of course Kevin loves the teasing/unwilling side of vore. It’s a form of play for him.

So he likes to just jump the player and gulp them down in-front of the other toys before giving a playful chase. Maybe eating a few others if he gets too carried away.

If the player doesn’t move fast enough with that grab pack he likes to “catch them if they fall. Or just like before if he’s bored enough he will snatch c them up and eat them feet first.

And if he truely lost his cool he ends up shoving them down the throat that kids between all the heads in the monsterous form. He’s more protective this way but there’s likely going to much bruising and scrapes from his rougher handling in this form.

Ways that Trump has acted smart and why that's been happening

Huge camera awareness, always simping for it, avoids unflattering shots more than you'd expect

Uses bluster and confusion in his speaking to throw off people's logical criticisms and evade answering for his actions

Constant awareness and control of his own image

Projection of intimidation on a physical, visual image level (facial expressions, movements, posture, dress)

Projection of intimidation on a social level (constant monitoring of those who take positions that might threaten his power combined with applying social pressures on those people in response)

Huge awareness of what is being said about him in the media

Ability to get multiple, diverse (YES REALLY) sources of advice and compare them and select which he believes will most apply

Ability to project an image that seems strong to his supporters and weak to his enemies, so his enemies underestimate him and don't compose proper tactics.

Ability to stubbornly railroad through an argument or confrontation, often for a very long time with more endurance than you'd expect.

The thing about narcissists is that they often seem silly and look foolish but they're experts in leveraging social power for their own personal gain. They may appear stone ignorant but they are able to think on a very complex level when it comes to the subject of identity control. They will prioritize identity and reputation control over many other things that non-narcissists would not understand deprioritizing.

What vitalizes these people is not what non-narcissists would expect. You have a person entirely constructed to win in social confrontations and who has experimented his whole life with manufacturing confrontations that lead directly to his immediate gain when he wins or merely survives them. His survival instinct, like that of all narcissists, is wired directly to his awareness of his own social vulnerability.

When threatened socially in any way, his survival response will kick in, and survival responses allow a person to think faster and differently than people who are not in survival mode. Perceived threats actually drive up his capabilities in this way. This is one reason he constantly seeks confrontation.

Usually what takes down a narcissist is the collapse of the support structure that has allowed them to be able to do this type of thinking all this time. They cannot focus on keeping themselves fed and watered, they have 'staff' for that, for instance. This is why you typically see them on top of a pyramid. It's the only place that can sustain such a person for the long term. They seek empires the way the rest of us seek a comfy chair and a bowl of soup.

With Trump in particular, he has managed to find the ultimate carrot to keep allies on his side-absolute power. What will be a constant refrain, however, is his ongoing need to feel that his personal sense of security has been threatened in order to activate his automatic, subconscious survival responses. This tends to come across as a weakness, it makes him seem overly sensitive and vulnerable, and this can, in the right combination with other events, convince his allies to stop supporting him.
