HELLO I HAD ANOTHER DREAM

My dream was that it was discovered that in SA2, there was a second ending cutscene that nobody had ever seen before

It was discovered by a speedrunner that if you were fast enough throughout the level (or it may have been the entire game, not sure), and pressed "B" at the precise right time, during the moment after Sonic and Shadow yell "Chaos Control!" but before Shadow started falling, you would get a new ending where Sonic grabs Shadow's arm and manages to save him from falling to Earth, pulling him back to safety, and then when they got back with everyone, everyone rushed towards the both of them and hugged them

Rouge still asked if Gerald created him to carry out his revenge, but Shadow stayed quiet and refused to answer.

In the last moments, instead of "Sayonara, Shadow the Hedgehog", it was replaced with Sonic waving and a "C'mon Shadow! Let's go home!"

And instead of the picture of Shadow on the moon, it was a picture of Sonic with his arm around Shadow

I have absolutely NO idea why my brain created this alternate happier SA2 ending for my dream, but there you go!

im currently in the middle of reading the book of bill and i had to put it down because the nostalgia made me cry a little…

i remember being a kid and never seeing bill as very evil. i knew his actions were wrong but in my innocent little kid brain i saw a guy that deep down just wanted a party. i firmly believed he was misunderstood. i thought that he HAD to have been hurting to be this awful— all i could think was shit like— stop being so mean, mr triangle man! ill have a party with you! you dont have to be awful because i love you!

and i know it’s ridiculous because hes literally just a cartoon villain,,, but ive always held that sympathy for him in my heart even if im older and see him more maturely— a part of me always saw myself in him. to everyone else i was so loud and strange and nobody really liked me… i found stuff that was disturbing or strange to be cool and others disliked me for it. i saw weirdmageddon as the coolest shit EVER!! i knew the way he went about things was shitty but come on man GIANT FLOATING FUCKING PYRAMID??? THAT SHIT WAS FIRE!!!!! i was fully convinced that if he just calmed the fuck down a little with the murder that he could be better—

im very critical of things nowadays, and i hate to defend any character of anything in this way because i hate my own bias, but hes so much different to me.. because i saw him as a child… because i believed he needed love… because if i had met him i wouldve told him hes so cool and he didnt need to be mean to dipper and mabel anymore because he doesnt need to hurt people to be awesome… and sure, that may be pretty unreasonable, but i feel like holding onto that empathy shaped me as a person in some crazy way. i adored him. i adored him so much i wanted him to be better. and even now reading the book, not even halfway done, i still hope he is better. i still believe in him. i still pity him somehow, because i still feel that little kid in the back of my throat.. i still feel that understanding that we are strange and loud and unbearable together…

i know its so fucking stupid but this page of the book got me bad because of the baggage hes holding that i KNEW he had been holding since i was probably like 9… especially with the added context of the axolotl poem..

Ascalon Redesigns!

Ive always bashed Ascalon alot (still do) but watching kuro's breakdowns i coudnt help but wonder about how cool it wouldve been if it was actually executed well

My main gripes with it is that it didnt look like technology, made no sense to look the way it does, and felt very poorly thought out overall like the lore for it was a complete afterthought

As you can see here (and in my george design) Ive made ascalon alot more technological-looking and like something azmuth would actually build

So whats the deal with this device? Ascalon is a weapon that uses the incomplete DNA of powerful beings (such as celestialsapiens) to harness their power and manifest it into a superpowerful suit of armor and weapon that, if used correctly, can be used to dissect and study the fabric of reality.

This way Ascalon contrasts alot more directly to the omnitrix, being both DNA devices of sorts. And both made for the purposes of knowledge, but one is alot more destructive and obviously made for offensive purposes than the other

I gave it those weird vertical circle thingies to sort of look like the star alignment we saw in the flashbacks with Zennith. Always found it weird how that never came up and the design didnt evoke it at all apart from simply.. being long?

The armor and weapon are based off of the user and what their mind sort of understands as "combat gear." This is why it looks like a knights armor for George and how it manifests into a sword (or rather one of those cartooonishly large claymores). I tried to give it white tubes and some green dots to evoke the omnitrix more. Also slapped on a cool big cape because every robot armor should have a cape tbh. I didnt intend for that at the time but this ended up being a motif throughout the designs, finding a way to incorprate cloth into them

Here we have a hypothetical design for azmuth if he were to wield it. For galvans i imagine they probably go into battle in giant mechs, so thats what his ascalon is. Gave ascalon that 1 zigzag that his staff in soto has, but tried to move away from the soto mechs design for this bc i never imagined that one was used for serious military combat

In the azmuth flashbacks we saw that he gave Ascalon to an incursean warrior which is what led to their homeworld's destruction. I think DJW later said that the warrior was not an Incursean but idc !!

I drew this in the same pose that the warrior had in the shot we saw him in. Gave him the classic incursean helmet as well as some more incursean-y elements to his armor. He has a normal sword that looks more like canon ascalon's than george's (i wish i could pretend it was because hes the technical original wielder of ascalon so he gets to have the design match the canon but no it was a coincidence)

We saw Vilgax wield Ascalon for a brief moment in the show so i had to! This ascalon was a very easy choice for me since i made up my mind ages before i even got the idea. Vilgax should never ever wield any sort of weapon, because hes simply strong enough on his own that he can pure muscle and brain his way out of any conflict. Brute force is his fortei, not becasue hes dumb but because he just doesnt need to do anything else. BUT if you were to give him a weapon, it shouldnt be a sword or a gun (both things UAF had lmao) it should be something like a hammer or a mace or gauntlets. Brute force sort of weapon

Vilgax is a already warlord so it was simple to work off of his canon OS design (the coolest one) and come up with an armor for him. I also took some inspirations from Eva Unit-02 for the helmet and the cape (specifically its debut where it was covered in cloth)

Of course, for ascalon i had to go with hammer. I mean his ship is called the Chimeran Hammer so you gotta! Also i think its the most fun visual with vilgax

Last but not least, the last person to wield ascalon in the show, Ben himself! I originally wasnt planning to do this, but then i got the idea of giving him these 2 designs to represent his change in mindset he has in the finale

In the beginning hes mostly influenced by how he saw george wield ascalon and stuff,and hes kinda losing it in the sauce a little. So he has an armor similar to that of goerge. Then as he remembers his friends and his humanity, he comes back down to earth (metaphorically?) and his armor itself shifts to represent this, being a mostly cartoonish armor based off ultra ben who i assume is like bens sona or something lol

The cloth is a menacing badass cape like George's, but then shifts into this sort of bubbly friendly skirt. His weapon also shifts from daggers wrapped around the omnitrix (representing using the omnitrix as a wepaon) to a shield wrapped around the omnitrix (representing using the omnitrix as a peacekeeping device)

These weapons dont actually interact with his omnitrix in anyway, theyre mostly just wrapped around it so he can still access it. The aliens would probably have george's armor but with slight changes to fit each alien better

My own takes on Vilcubra and Dagax

Always really really really disliked both of these designs in the show, they felt like they went through zero drafts before the final design and they just kinda did whatever (which isnt far off from how the rest of this arc was handled lol)

I tried making vilcubra look more creepy and like his body was indeed transformed to be a servant, and also closer to how the lacubras actually look so i SLASHED off his toesies and took out his eyes and put them on his shoulders so they dont look like eyes (leaving room for the teeth to overtake the face) also gave him a tail

I think the idea behind having Dagax be a floating vilcubra head vilgax was because they thought a floating normal vilgax head would look goofy (theyre right) but i think they failed to realize that the floating vilcubra head is equally goofy even if indeed you give it red eyes. So i just tried to make my design be something of a mix between the actual Dagon and vilgax

I admit i ran into some trouble trying to do that as vilgax was the OG cthulu inspired design, so trying to mix him with other cthulu presented trouble. I tried to at least slant his eyes the same way they looked in OS and give him the OS yellow spots, as well as the 2 big tentacles he has in the back of his head in OS and OV

i talk about how much i love vanessa/vanny to my sister and complain about how people don’t like her and then can never give reasons for why they don’t like her other than “she’s boring”/“she doesn’t show up enough” and my sister was like “well people dont usually think into the lives of character aside from how they show up on screen” WHAT DO YOU MEAN. HOW DOES ANYONE ENJOY CHARACTERS IF THEY DONT THINK ABOUT HOW THEY JUST EXIST.

vanessa is more than just her appearancein security breach. and EVEN THEN, we get to see her snark a robot, we get to see a room where vanny/vanessa has been supposedly living in in the plex, we get to see princess quest.

like okay yeah she didnt get a ton of screen time. bite me. have you considered actually thinking abt the character for longer than three seconds.

what about the emails! what about the help wanted dialogue! what about the fact that she GOT HER OWN MIND TAKEN OVER AND HOW THAT AFFECTED HER.

i just! i mean i certainly think about the characters more intently than the average fan (fnaf is my special interest, lol) but the implication that people want their characters spelled out for them is so??? do they really?? would people have really preferred that??

dont get me wrong, there are a lot of things that i wouldve loved to have improved upon in security breach. but i kind of feel like vanny and vanessa get an amount of hate thats just kind of overkill? like okay yeah she couldve had more screen time. and.. well, what else? i literally cant think of anything else? shes slow? shes not afton?? idk???

(my personal biggest complaint “about” vanny is that one of the coolest endings - and the only one with a cinematic cutscene - showed fuck all of her. i dont even mind burntrap/deathtrap that much but my girl shouldve been there!!)

dont even know where to begin with cassie and gregory. the hate of gregory is ridiculous (He Is Twelve). i actually have fortunately not seen anything like what you said about cassie, but she deserves to be the protagonist (or antagonist!!) for upcoming games.

jay: have loved him ever since his debut. i thought he was a bit rough around the edges when he first got thrown into all these high profile matchups, but thats only natural lol he was literally a child. i think lots of ppl perked up tho after him vs kenny in sapporo. i was a bit disappointed they didnt do more with the history between him and hanger, kenny and ibushi for wembley but there was a lot of negative stuff going on at the time so w/e.

i love him a lot but id have to say that i have cooled down on him a bit cause im not watching aew rn and there really isnt any other way to perceive him, sadly. i know the gang gang scissor ass bang or whatever is immensely popular and i did like some of the stuff i was sent by friends but i gotta say im a little bit over it just by consuming from afar lol so next i would love for him to get into a grimy nasty t i g h t feud with someone swerve someone and really bring back the rat (like during the time he was chasing after ibushi like he wanted him to [redacted] him sm that [redacted])

hes still for some reason kinda an underrated wrestler who does lots of small things in the ring i appreciate but that dont necessarily stand out so ppl dont really pick up on it a lot. hes not very flashy, i suppose (in the in-ring sense; hes very loud otherwise lol). i think he really stepped up like kenny said and grew into his own, and thats not as easy to do as ppl sometimes say it is. i hold a lot of his matches in high regard, especially him vs ibushi g1 finals, that match is immortal to me and one of my fav matches of all time, ever.

julia: i was extremely meh on her when she started out, the cheerleading stuff just didnt appeal to me even if i can agree that its athletically impressive. whoever trained her tho did a really good job, there are a lot of areas that you can tell she really did her homework in and improved a lot. i think joining hob was the best thing that could ever have happened to her. i said this before somewhere else but i absolutely do NOT get what anyone (tk cough) was smoking to say she shouldve stayed with the varsity blondes, that wouldve been the death of her character 💀 i love her father daughter relationship with the hob guys out of kayfabe and in kayfabe she has some of the coolest gear and entrances.

i really liked her match against kris for the title and i wish it couldve been a little bit longer but i still felt they did everything in their power to get over in those 8? 9? minutes. julias turnbuckle jumpscare is probably my favorite thing about her.

other than that i sadly dont have much of an opinion on her bc, again, i dont watch aew, so if shes done something cool lately sorry folks 🤷 (i did see her gay entrance with skye? iirc, so that was 👌)

Indigo disk really just says okay beat the elite 4, and then you do, and its like cool now go catch turtle, and then you do, and then its like okay, here are all of the best and coolest features in the whole game that wouldve been really sick to have a year ago. I'm honestly so confused cuz its been a few hours now and I dont know what I feel about the final Pokémon SV product. Like sword and shield was great and then Isle of Armor was amazing, and then Crown Tundra had a lot of really good stuff but it felt more like a new Pokémon update more than Armor which had so much going on. With this its like, I struggle to keep all the good in mind because its paced so poorly because its a fuckin open world game. I was watching clips of the base game the other day in my switch album and there's soooo much good shit in there. Larry is the best gym leader in the whole series. But then the open world happens, and then you go to Kitakami and Ogerpon is great but the whole thing was like okay cool gimme the Pokémon for my home dex lets get it over with

It pops out, you fight it, you catch it, and then the credits roll. And thats been a problem with the paradox Pokémon too, with every dex description being like "Great tusk, this is the pokemon a dubious magazine called Great Tusk". Like none of them have any lore at all. And Terapagos is implied to have been a species that got buried and went extinct super long ago, and I guess the crystals kept one alive and made it into what it is now? Thats less interesting than Bloodmoon Ursaluna's backstory. Not that every Legendary or Mythical needs to have fallen to earth in a meteor but they literally dont explain what the crystals are. Its a giant crater that is like 1000 mils wide and you expect to learn this thing fell from space but then the dex goes no they lived here long ago and went extinct. Like what is going on. The disparity in quality within the same game is hurting my brain

started by going to the nomai graveyard in the dark bramble, it wouldve been nice to have actually gone there before my first venture to the vessel but i managed i suppose

then went to the vessel to try out the coords, but surprise surprise it wasnt powered. I was able to make the "theres more the explore here" thing go away though, so that was a good sign

then went back to the ember twin and finally went to the lakebed cave. i had already found out myself the whole being in the dark + quantum stuff thing but it was nice to officially learn it i suppose. also the skeletons in there are silly

then! went to the ash twin in my attempts to make it inside the ash twin project. came to the conclusion that it was probably with one of the towers based off what i read about the warp pad in there and lo and behold, i waas right

really cool stuff there! but you know what the coolest part was? the advanced warp core of which i of course snatched.

this was the point where i was like, yeah, this is it

soo shoutout to good awesome wonderful fren drama (hi! if you are reading this :D), they wanted to watch me complete it.

but first! they helped me out with the quantum moon and the sixth location, and wow! was in the hopes i would be able to talk to a nomai somewhere during the very beginning, and my wishes came true. now i have 1/6 of a new fren and had some nice conversations

after a little interruption, is was time to beat it!

got the warp core again, went through hell, powered up the vessel, entered the coords, and bam, the eye of the universe

again, wow :'D

really had no words for what i was seeing at the time, and still don't, it was just amazing

per request of fren i shot my little scout buddy up first and then cannonballed my way through after it

seeing the museum again, being in the woods, seeing all the supernovas, gathering everyone together for one final song ouhgheasdeffhsas,,,,,

and then we start anew!

im just, wowed, by absolutely everything. i may not be able to verbally express it audibly or with text, but, just, it was awesome man

i see why everyone wishes they could play the game again for the first time, it really is a peak example of one of those games

but hey, i got to see everything-besides hollows lantern but we ignore that um- and im just glad i played the game in the first place

after everything, drama helped guide me to the silly endings-which. truly, the kazoo credits were the most emotional song- met myself and screamed at myself, n broke the fabric of reality twice!

all n all, amazing game, will be forcing all my friends to play it

umm expect some art of it most likely, unsure how spoilering it will have to happen so if anyone has any recommendations besides tags do let me know

the thing abt kiryu refusing help to defend okinawa and prefers fighting only w the ryudo family is maybe the only time id defend his loner ass bc hes right in that making a bunch of mainlanders show up without even asking would be Not Great since the ryukyu islands are colonized by japan so imposing on them w a majima army like that wouldve been the Not Coolest moment of all time. COULDVE just accepted majima to show up tho maybe rikiya would be ALIVE!!!!!

Yeah like at least bring your boy along 😭 Okay but while we are on the topic of the Ryudo family... I'm so annoyed they aren't ever in the games again- I know Rikiya died but I feel like Michio and Nakahara would still help out-I know Mirei had someone at the orphanage after she got Kiryu to leave but it would have at least made Kiryu not being there less terrible- instead the writers just think leaving literal teenage girls in charge is fine ?? This is only tangentially related but it's one thing about 6 that is making me so ????

Can we talk about how security breach was 1000% meant to play out in a different way? Cause I can writer genuinely an essay on how the nights should’ve gone— because yes, it would’ve been nights not hours! And who the main bad guy was: spoiler alert, it wasn’t originally going to be Vanessa. I’m going to rant about this because it’s just something that angers me to no believer how well the other way could’ve been if put more time into!!

I full heartedly believe security breach was meant to be a story about a boy that kept sneaking into the pizzaplex and Vanessa helping them find a way out With no evil intentions at first. The first night it would’ve been a test run to get the controllers, night two you’d be introduce to Montgomery malfunction, night three Chica and Monty and then, night four the prior two plus Roxy. On night five it would’ve been Vanessa and the rest of the animatronics and Freddy would’ve been the one to help you out. I think they scrapped this since Freddy wouldn’t have been as presentable as he is now in the current release. And him been the face of the franchise, they just had to shoe him in more.

Evidence: Vanessa just had such a stronger role and more sincere way of speaking saying things that don’t sound as insincere as Funtime Baby’s way of trickery was. Her lines bellow have such a sense of dread and genuine concern and strong emphasis on not trusting others unlike the snarky comments she makes in the final game. Her lines like: “we can get you out of here, you and me! Together.” -“They won’t stop hunting you. NONE OF THEM, will stop hunting you” and “we HAVE to get you out by morning”. Then there’s Monty who has one of the coolest lines ever that goes on use at all in the final game.

I seriously can’t emphasize enough how I want this version of the game so much more…i wouldve loved if Vanessa played a bigger role.
