Yue Qingyuan holds him, and realizes that he’s going to get to hold Shen Qingqiu like this for the entire night. That he’ll hold him as he sleeps, and wake up with him in his arms. He’ll know where he is for every single moment, safe and sound right in this bed with him.

After a long moment of silence and darkness, Shen Qingqiu whispers into the night - as if, perhaps, he thinks that Yue Qingyuan is asleep and he won’t be heard - closely against his skin, “I love you.”
