Sooooo tired of the idea that a character "following their heart for once 🥺" makes them a good person.

Anakin Skywalker's whole story is literally about that.

He chose love over his responsibility to the Jedi and the people in the universe and ended up killing the very woman he chose over everything and everyone else.

Rose Quartz's story is exactly the same. She followed her heart and escaped her abusive family but was too naïve to deal with and truly understand the consequences of her actions and it led to centuries of war, thousands of deaths, and her son blaming himself for things he wasn't even alive for.

Sometimes responsibility and duty DO come before love. Sometimes you DO have to make sacrifices for the greater good even if it destroys you. Because that is what a good person actually does. A good person puts others their own fucking daughter over themselves and wants to do right by them.

Yes, and at the very least the creators for both of those characters understood that the “following your heart” route for their respective characters would lead to tragedy. That was actually the whole point for Anakin and Rose.

Vivziepop appears to really believe Stolas is in the right for doing terrible things for the sake of his own selfish desires, and yet to make it justifiable to her audience she’s destroyed the story, the characters, and completely abandoned the worldbuilding in Helluva Boss, specifically the class system and commentary, so that Stolas comes out looking sympathetic. I can’t stand it and I can’t stand the thousands of misguided yet hostile fans that accept that BS.

Like whenever Abby's like "I really care about you, more than anyone, but it's hard for me to pretend I'm into the physical; this has maybe a 2% chance of working out," my lesbian ass is just nodding so hard. Like, yeah! Exactly! You don't know you're gay yet, or you sense it in yourself and try to veer away, so what's the easiest option? You find the soft nerd boy, your best friend in the world, someone you absolutely trust to have your back no matter what, and go, "Yeah, uh huh, sure. I'll try that one." You absolutely look for the most non-threatening dude in the vicinity. And then it's improved by Eric's whole thing being like "yeah, this is absolutely someone I am down bad for, but if she doesn't wind up digging me that way, she's still my best friend." It reads so true. No idea if they were ever going to actually walk down that road, but in my heart of hearts? Here for it.

Both of them. Heckyl is a given because he's a boyfailure with laced boots, but Kendall, despite being graceful as hell, is constantly wearing heeled shoes so Heckyl finds it hilarious when she trips because she's normally so composed.

Kendall for sure. She technically pays Heckyl so....(different story when it comes to space currency lmao he's paying for everything)

Heckyl would if he had any fucking clue about what Earth holidays were, but otherwise Kendall, although she's super lowkey about it outside of decorating for the museum. Shelby, Ivan, Tyler, and Chase have to get them in the mood.

Heckyl is pretty cynical about pop culture at first, but once Tyler, Chase, and Shelby put him onto TV, movies and music, he becomes obsessed. He wants to learn EVERYTHING about Earth culture pertaining to those things.

Heckyl for sure. Kendall only goes if there's a movie with her favorite actors/actresses in it that she secretly fangirls over

Heckyl. He wouldn't expect himself to find such a deep attachment to Earthly animals, but there he is with tears in his eyes as Kendall tries comforting him.

Ms. Morgan the lovely insomniac (again, projecting). Then again, I'm also sure that Heckyl's trauma would also likely keep him from sleeping well. It alternates between the two depending on how exhausted they are, but it mostly goes to Kendall.

Heckyl. Probably his way of coping with what happened to Sentai 6.
