Okay stay with me here, but theres a whole other reason why the show was just incorrect that bringing Daario would get in the way of political alliances. In most likely case in show and book, Dany probably can't have kids. If you look at her own mother, Rhaella lost five children due to miscarriages, stillborns and whatnot. It took near twenty years for her to have a living child between Rhaegar and Viserys and then she died giving birth to Dany. Dany seems to have issues with fetility in general in the books, and its likely much like many inbred Targaryean women, she can get pregnant but struggles to carry one to term at all let alone deliver one which survives. Dany in the show technically doesnt know this, but she does according to season 7. So pretending Dany has reasons to think she cant have children...what political alliance would Daario get in the way of? Political alliances like that in marriage are specifically designed for uniting those houses through the children to be had between them. Heirs are what makes political marriage alliances important. If Dany knows she cant have children...what political alliance is so important to not bring her lover with her for? No one will care that much if their infertile Queen has a lover, because theres no vows or expectations of children she needs to uphold or produce.

Also she literally already married for a politcal alliance to Hizdahr Zo Loraq when she was lovers with Daario. And that wasn't an issue anyways...like...theres literally just no sense in Daario getting in the way of political alliances. There are no benefits in a major house marrying Dany if that alliance and power dies when she dies and there are no heirs. Which is what the majority of highborn marriages are for in Westeros.

THIS!! It honestly never made sense - all their excuses for why he couldn't come. Unless the actor couldn't do it - which would be kinda stupid again as they've replaced his actor before. But then again a third time would be kinda stupid.

But yeah as you said - Dany can't have any children so it's not like she's going to risk having any bastard children with him. And as you said again - not many highborn men are gonna jump at the chance to marry a woman who can't have children. So those aren't exactly necessary problems.

I mean - there was this whole deleted plot and scene in season 8 where Dany was pregnant. To which I ask - how would that be able to happen?? Especially seen as last season and all the season before - she couldn't have kids!! The worst part for me personally is that it was Jon's baby 🤢. Like Stark seed is strong but not THAT bloody strong 💀✋. I see why they scrapped it - it was shit. But the fact they were going to do it at one point is so stupid 💀.
