Hi!! I'm a reylo fan!! I'm just going to ask if there's really a probability for reylo to be canon (subtle/ friendship/ alliances etc.) in the TLJ or even in ep.9? If not... What will you do? (I hope you'll continue to ship it) (I'm sorry for the ask, I'm so nervous with all this information and stuff). I love your blog (and your salty posts :)

I mean…at this point it’s pretty much a certainty that AT THE VERY LEAST they’ll come to understand each other better. that’s just storytelling 101 after they were already protagonist/antagonist and she soundly defeated him in the first movie of the trilogy. their dynamic can’t stay stagnant, so it MUST evolve, and this is supported by that one interview Daisy gave where she says Rey doesn’t understand him (which is obviously how Rey begins the movie, not how she ends it, or Daisy wouldn’t say that in an interview months before the movie and also the starting point of every great enemies-to-lovers story ever, just saying).

I think the chances of explicit romance (like a kiss) are fairly good for IX, and honestly I think there’s gonna be a whoooooole lotta subtext in TLJ that’s BARELY even subtext, like…DID YOU SEE THAT TRAILER. it didn’t even include any obvious scenes of Rey and Kylo together but everything about it from start to finish was screaming ‘these two characters are two halves of something, they’re the same, they’re going to understand each other in ways no one else can understand them.’ and that’s beautiful, because the dynamic between them doesn’t even have to be romantic yet to be deep and complex and fucking intense I CAN BARELY BREATHE JUST THINKING ABOUT IT

and yes, no matter what happens, I will ALWAYS SHIP IT, like I literally cannot lose. I started out two years ago thinking of them as a crack ship who’d probably end up related and I’d just enjoy them in fanfic and fanon, started at THE LITERAL BOTTOM and now we’ve got all this canon support and intertwined destinies and two halves of something and a fucking BARBIE DOLL SET OF THEM, I’m currently living in my wildest reylo dreams and they’re real life and even if they just breathe the same air and look at each other in TLJ I’ll be swooning on the floor lmao

i just binged ur meta and this one on danzo is where i hoped the story would go after the pain arc when i first watched shippuden...

hope u don’t mind if i ramble here...i think naruto as a series kind of tried to have its cake and eat it too? like we get these hard moral conundrums (pain asking naruto what he thinks will bring peace) and also these cookie cutter talk-no-jutsu moments about conquering hAtReD which is so frustrating...it just had so much potential (guess that’s why i’m still bitter about it so many years after i first watched it lol) and whenever the main cast is presented with ideological conflict it’s just half-assedly resolved (hyuuga subplot grr)

out of curiousity, do u have any thoughts on how the shinobi system could actually be reformed? I haven’t read boruto but from the small bit i’ve absorbed through tumblr, naruto’s way didn’t work out at all. and what do you think of nagato’s magic nuke idea? whenever i think back to naruto now somehow nagato seems like the most reasonable dude, magic nukes are at least a bit more realistic than whatever madara and obito’s plan was.

okay one more thing do you have any fic recs for a sasuke who actually goes on to start revolution? and the system gets criticised and broken down? i’m forever salty that the vague arc that was forming where suigetsu and sasuke were wandering to different orochimaru bases and freeing the experiments didn’t lead to something more concrete. (i hope i’m remembering this right, it’s been like six years since i watched that part so >_<)

i completely agree that there were wonderful points in naruto that were simply discarded for no viable reason and with the potential it had? crazy honestly same here i think it's why i love the show so much because the potential it had to properly address these issues was there and we almost got that through sasuke but then he was "corrected" by naruto and the main cast. the conflict is so half-assed, and it makes me think... why bring up these issues that mirror real life (genocide, slavery etc) but then.. not ever properly resolve it?

nagato's one does seem the most reasonable tbh although if i were to look at canon options, id lean towards sasuke's goal. i think the revolutionary ideas were made very violent and "extreme" on purpose to have clear villains in place. i dont think an actual revolution by sasuke would be so... i do think that the shinobi system cant be reformed, only destroyed. reforming means compromising with the same shinobi who were keeping the system in place eg the kages etc. naruto is resolved by saying if we all fight against hatred things will be okay but that doesnt address how the "hatred" is getting intensified by the system itself that promotes violence for the sake of your village and for economic gain.

fics for sasuke starting a revolution are... very hard to find. i have some good anti konoha ones that are sasuke centric like this and this . i think the second one is building up to a revolution and its really good. as for my chosen characterisation of itachi. well if we are thinking canon wise, i have a oneshot where its mostly in itachi's pov hejfadsjdj if youre curious that fic is how i see itachi. not canon wise i have some chosen characterisations of itachi that i find very fun like this

(i feel you. i hate seeing people glorify itachi's actions. you're free to like him, even i do, but the moment you begin to try and defend genocide, torturing your own brother and all that disturbing jingoism is where i draw the line. itachi being used as a political pawn for the elders is an explanation, not a defence. he still decided to do it.)

@deathcab4daddy gave me the inspo to include Ushi and it was so funny coming up with ideas for him, he is no.1 country boi chef

The most straightforward yet idiotic baker you will ever come across.

Before you even THINK about performing step 1, he will read the entire fucking leaflet like it’s a Shakesperean monologue.

LIKE SIS I DIDN’T NEED TO KNOW IT CONTAINS MONOCALCIUM PHOSPHATE THANK YOU.

I’m surprised he doesn’t count every single particle in the brownie mix.

You bought him a frilly cupcake-printed apron stating ‘best wife’ not expecting him to actually wear it

But since he’s secretly a big softie and treasures anything you buy he wears it proudly.

His stoic and dignified disposition is a comical contrast to the words printed on the front lmao.

The tight fit of the apron is pretty hot since it outlines every ridge of his pecs and tightly toned torso.

Gotta resist groping your mans while stirring the brownie batter.

HAS to set the temperature to the EXACT degree stated on the box

Everything is done by the book if you do one thing out of place he will pull you up on it lol.

When its done you feed him some and he can’t help but smile its so ADORBALE AHHH.

You end up eating most of it since Ushi doesn’t strike me as much of a chocolate/junk food lover.

STILL A VERY FUN BUT F R U S T R A T I N G EXPERIENCE.

Tendou:

The complete opposite of Ushi

Does everything wrong and the unconventional way.

Absolute disaster but doesn’t even sweat it since Tendou basically thrives in chaos and the disorderly.

To him instructions are purely equivocal, will read them for five seconds then toss them away.

Step aside Gordon Ramsey, Chef Tendou is here.

Despite doing everything the unorthodox way it still comes out amazing.

Like??? how???

Will cheekily place a dollop batter on your nose then lick it off fh3jkeffefds

Or if he’s feelin’ a lil freaky, he’ll swipe it off with his long ass finger and make you suck it clean, smirking at your submission as you coat his finger with your saliva.

Constantly cracking jokes and shitty food puns, pretending to drop the bowl to make you go into preemptive cardiac arrest before you can swat him with the spatula.

While you’re waiting for the timer to ping, Satori being the schemer he is will use this as an opportunity to pull some fuckery and tease you in any way he can.

u better be praying like bodhisattva TanaNoya rn because he is MERCILESS.

Suggestive comments, the brush of his fingers against your thigh, it’ll leave you A C H I N G in frustration by the end of it.

Unholy activities aside, once your baking session is completed you finish it off by feeding PHAT forkfuls of brownie to each other and giggling like dorks when it gets all over your mouth.

The jackass actually got a fingerful and SMEARED it over your cheek and forehead, drawing a little cross and snickering when the crumbs fall onto your nose.

Tendou was smart to draw a cross bc he gonna need jesus with the ATTACK you launch on him after that, which promptly leads to an all out food war in your kitchen that neither of you want to clean up after ward.

Don’t worry though it’s Tendou, he’ll somehow find a way to make such a mundane activity fun.

Nishinoya:

stirs WAY TOO VIOLENTLY

IT’S LIKE AN ELECTRIC WHISK ON OVERDRIVE.

IT WILL SPLATTER OVER THE COUNTER, CUPBOARDS AND EVERYTHING YOU HOLD DEAR WITHIN A 1 MILE RADIUS.

You best believe he will try and eat some of the batter and you have to swat the spoon away from his mouth since he has NO REGARD FOR THE FACT HE COULD GET SALMONELLA.

Plus you know what Noya’s like once he starts eating something the whole thing will be gone in a matter of milliseconds.

He somehow managed to get Baking powder EVERYWHERE and even gave him self a little moustache with it.

The white substance kinda looked like something else but you didn’t really wanna say lmaooo.

could explain why he has so much energy all the time oK ILL STOP-

While you’re putting the mix on the tray he is SO extra and will do fancy lil swirls and over extend his arm like a swan to gracefully spread the batter

until he nearly fucking knocks it over.

During processing time since he is so excitable and impatient you best believe he’s gonna suggest a game of ping pong or something because my guy can well and truly never sit still.

ping pong match with the spatulas, kitchen island and a hard boiled egg.

Pls be careful he will rolling thunder that egg and pimp slap it so hard with the spatula it’ll damn near give you a concussion, not intentionally, but like protect your noggin. Wear a helmet.

For the remaining 5 minutes of baking time y’all just sit like kids in front of the oven and watching it rise like starved hyena’s observing it’s pray before demolishing it into sad particles of cocoa.

And lemme tell u, once the timer pings, that baking tray is free real estate for Noya. Half of your creation will be devoured before you can even put it on a plate and marvel at your handiwork.

He kicked your ass at spatula ping pong btw I’m sorry sweaty but short kings stay winning.

Oikawa:

Such a dramatic bitch like he got the whole she-bang going on.

Strapped with a pink apron, a whisk at his side and standing proudly with both hands on his hips.He is prepared like a greek gladiator going into battle.

You better believe he gonna make some snarky remarks and tease your method of doing things.

“Ah-ah-ahhh (Y/N)-chan you’re doing it all wrong, let me show you how a PRO does it.”

Proceeds to drop entire bowl on his foot and yelp like a little girl in pain.

Well and truly embarrassed with himself, you put a band-aid on his toe and he piped down after that.

Shattered big toe and mixing bowl aside, actually a really good baker??

He is a PRO at decorating, y’all decided on cupcakes since its literally his forte to make them look aesthetic and pretty.

You almost don’t wanna eat them from how good they look.

You take it in turns breaking bits off and placing pieces into each others mouth with a loud “aaaaaahhh!”

Places a piece in your mouth, leans forward and locks lips with you in a soft, passionate kiss before pulling away and uttering the words “It tastes even better coming from your mouth ;)”

You both whine and bicker over who cleans up after.

Like just stroke his ego with some compliments and he’s whipped with a smug grin on his face for the next 30 minutes.

You decide to save the rest and bring them to his next practise.

Literally on the verge of tears when he sees you beaming and holding the platter of treats, Kiyotani mauls half of them in a matter of seconds to which Oiks gets salty over LMAO.

Hinata:

So excited oh my god he’s so precious please protect him I will CRY-

Has a little sunflower apron on and JBJKNDDDKDW IM SMILING JUST IMAGINING HIM FIDGETING IN EXCITEMENT OVER THE THOUGHT OF BAKING COOKIES.

Yes you decided on cookies bc he goes rabid for some choc chip biccies.

You have to guide him v carefully because of how easily confused and clumsy he is.

Cannot for the life of him crack the eggs without getting a quarter of the shell in the bowl so you have to do it instead.

Has a surprising amount of strength and forearm power bc holy shit boy can stir FAST.

Hums a little tune while he does it and bobs up and down with a wide grin on his face it’s so adorable, he has such a gentle singing voice I can’t-

Attempts different shapes with the batter when pouring it onto the tray but fails pretty miserably lol.

Once they’re done he takes the tray out of the oven and since it was heavy, subconsciously propped it with his knee and nearly dropped the entire tray from the pain. (I’ve actually done this before when making chicken nuggets I do not advise being that brain dead)

Had to put some burn cream on the bbies knee :’((

When you decided to dig in, he handed you a cookie that looked like a crooked circle and said he tried to make that one a heart and insisted he feed it to you.

Blushed VERY hard at the moment of silence and intense eye contact while he fed it to you.

Nearly short circuited when his fingers brushed against your lips.

Everyone had just left. Nervousness started to ease in. Sweat started to drip. Your heart began to race.

“Yah, you ready?” You hear from behind you. You turn around and see Hoseok standing with car keys in his hand.

“Ready for what?” You question, eyebrows furrowing.

“We’re leaving. I’m taking you out on a date,” he winks. You scoff at him. He really needs to stop playing with my heart like that.

“Well, no, I’m not ready, let me just go chan--”

“Nope, no changing, we can just leave now. We’re going to be late,” he says, stopping you with his hand, preventing you from going back to the room.

“Hoseok, I’m still in my pajamas!” You argue, he just looks at you, a playful smile on his lips.

“So?” You look at him angrily and he laughs and poke your cheeks. “You’re so cute when you’re mad.” You roll your eyes and push his hand away.

“I’m kidding, go get changed,” he says, pushing you towards the room. “I don’t want to be seen around with you looking like that,” he comments, laughing while looking at you up and down. You scoff.

“Jerk,” you mumble underneath your breath. “What makes you think I want to be seen with you looking like that?” Hoseok’s jaw drops.

“Y-Yah! I-i was just kidding--”

“Well I wasn’t, lose the hat maybe?” He glares at you, and you smile back.

“Wah, I’m so tired. I’m going to go in the room to change,” Hoseok says as soon as the two of you enter the room. Everyone else was still gone and will be home in an hour or so.

“Alright, just let me know when you’re done so I can change too.” He raises his arm, giving you a thumbs up from behind. While you wait, you take your phone out to text Dahee.

You click back to reply to whatever Hoseok sent and you see your last message from Dahee. You furrow your brows, and click back, and click on Hoseok’s name again. Then your eyes widen. Nononononononnonoonono. You couldn’t do anything about it. It’s already sent. The only plausible thing you can think of right now is running to your room and taking Hoseok’s phone before he sees it. Because as of now it’s still left as unread. Without missing another second you get up from your seat on the couch and ran to your room, barging the door open, startling Hoseok in the process.

“O-- Yah! Yn, wh- what are you doing? I could’ve been naked!” You shake your head, looking around frantically for his phone.

“You act like I haven’t seen anything before!” Hoseok made a ‘oo you right’ face, which quickly turned to a puzzled one as he saw your frantic state.

“Are.. you okay?” You quickly shake your head no.

“No, I need your phone, where is it?” He furrows his brow, looking at you weird as he raises his hand, the phone in his grasp. You gasp, reaching for it but he brings it up, out of your reach.

“Uh-- Hoseok.” You say jumping higher and higher for the phone. “Hoseok! Just-- please! I nee--d it!” You get on top of the bed, for better reach for the phone. He was smiling and laughing, having the best time watching you like this. This to him was fun while you suffered.

“Hoseeoooooooooooook,” you whine, jumping onto his back, unfortunately your arms were too short too reach, making him laugh once more.

“Oh? You sent me somethi--”

“nO! DONT--”

hey sorry to put pressure on you and you totally don’t have to answer this is you don’t want to but ... as a woc, what happened to allura at the end of s8 made me extremely upset. I just wanted to know if you were planning to follow canon in that way in paper skin. I know u probably won’t and I trust u to make good decisions for the characters in your story but I just don’t think I can go through that again. Thank you so much and have a wonderful day ❤️

Without going into too much spoilery detail, I’ll say this:

- When I found out Adam was a character, I added him in the background and originally planned a low-key reveal as Shiro’s lover or something until I knew more about him from S7 canon. I made him a warlock solely for the Adam Warlock puns because I’m a nerd.

- When what happened to him in canon happened, I decided he was now an Immortal Necromancer warlock and will never, ever die. He’s older than almost everyone in the cut, and will outlive ALL of them. I will assure you he will make it to the epilogue and beyond.

- I personally did not like what happened to Allura either, I’m not a WOC, but my god, my heart breaks for you and all other WOC/POC watching the show and seeing a smart, funny, beautiful, and powerful royal WOC have the ending she had. Especially younger kids, because representation matters. Having a Princess that looks like you is so important for self-esteem and identity and also having a Princess that isn’t white is important to break down the idea of white = default for kids who grew up looking like me. (I’ll stop here because I’m sure there are plenty of better-worded opinions on why this was a Problem and again, I come from a white privileged perspective. I want to hear from POC/WOC because they live this.)

- My reaction in Paper Skin for Allura’s endgame will echo what I did with Adam. I had a few options in mind, NONE OF THEM INVOLVED HER DYING BTW, but now I feel salty and justified enough to go in a specific direction.

- All this being said… I am working on a post-Season 8 fic. It doesn’t change what happened 100%. And I wholly understand if this is upsetting and you or others choose not to read it for those reasons. Absolutely justified, I just have a very specific idea of how I can build a Klance narrative through what happened and expiate my own grief for Allura. I have other fics in the works that have her shown and kept alive and well and not stripped of her identity, including a few set in canonverse.

Thank you so much for saying this, and for trusting me. But as a white woman, I sit with privilege, and I want your feedback and to learn to be better when I do something that reflects ignorance or institutionalized racism on my part.

3. favorite anime character

It might be obvious by now, but my favourite anime character of all time is Madoka Kaname from Puella Magi Madoka Magica. Apart from the fact that she’s pink and adorable, she’s also a kindhearted friend, a person who shows incredible growth, and the living embodiment of hope. There are aspects of myself that I can see in her, and in some ways she’s also kind of a role model for what I would like to be more like as well.

I could go on for ages about why I love this character… and guess what? I have! If anyone’s interested in reading my ramblings about my love for the pink goddess of hope, I direct your attention to this post. ;)

6. popular anime you didn’t like

(Man, I really hope I don’t get hate for this one xD)

Definitely Akagami no Shirayuki-hime/Snow White with the Red Hair. I wouldn’t say I dislike it, but I went in with high hopes and plenty of excitement, and by the halfway mark, I was already thoroughly let down. It isn’t bad or anything, I just found it… underwhelming? Apart from the fact that the storyline really wasn’t all that interesting, Shirayuki is just the biggest Mary Sue to ever Mary Sue, in my opinion, and I actually found myself getting more and more annoyed at her and how perfectly everything works out for her and how much everyone loves her blah blah blah… Nothing ever seems to go wrong for her, and when they do, it’s nearly always in the form of yet another kidnapping, and she’ll always have more than a few princes rushing to her rescue anyway. None of her achievements feel very rewarding, either, because everything always works out for her and everyone’s in love with her or lining up to be her friend. That would all be okay, except for the fact that I just don’t see what’s so special about her xDDD She’s nice, she’s kind, she’s hardworking… but what else?

Sorry for ranting ^^;; Lemme talk about some positive things xD The art style is beautiful, the music/soundtrack is gorgeous, and the romance is pretty sweet if you’re not looking for something super profound or anything. There are some interesting and likable side characters, like Obi and Ryuu, but then even their potential to bring something new to the table got swept under the rug and they just became yet another character used to tell me how amazing Shirayuki is when the plot itself should be showing me this. The most interesting character for me was actually Raji, which is ironic because he isn’t really even part of the main cast xD Yeah he’s also constantly singing praises at Shirayuki’s supposed amazing-ness, but he has his own development and character arc and managed to steal the show for me, so good for him xD

Man, I sound like I really hate this show, but I swear I don’t xD I was just disappointed after hearing so many positive things about it. I love fairy tales and I love romance, but this just didn’t do it for me >_

9. favorite anime child

That depends on what the definition of “child” is, since almost all main characters in anime are technically children (i.e. teens) lololol :P So I’m gonna lower the age to super young children and pick Chibi Chibi from Sailor Moon. She’s so cuuute!!! *squeals* I just want to take her home and keep her as my own child haha

12. anime that should get more attention from others

Hands-down, without a doubt, Princess Tutu. Seriously, it makes me so upset that this anime isn’t more popular or well-known. It is an absolute piece of art in so many ways: storytelling, characters, animation, music etc. The plot is almost insanely deep and well-written for a magical girl anime targeted at children, and the characters are so multifaceted and complex and their development is so satisfying to watch. There’s so much packed into these 26 episodes, and while it’s got pretty much everything expected of a magical girl anime, there is so, so, so much more. (And this may be why I’m actually writing my MA thesis on this series.)

I could go on all day about why Princess Tutu is an absolute masterpiece, and I will always be salty that this show isn’t given the attention and credit it deserves. Seriously, if you haven’t seen Princess Tutu yet, do yourself a favour and go watch it now. You’ll thank me for it later.

It depends? I usually try to make both of us happy when it comes to requests, for example, if that person likes, say, HamaHaya but I feel like I want HamaKura I will ask them for HamaHaya anyways because 1. HAMAHAYA and 2. Maybe they will put more feel into the art!!! And what is most important of art is the feelings that it is put into it! Best art is the art you can tell the author put all their heart on~!

N: Your favorite fandom (for the people; not the thing you fangirl over).

Um… Is it normal I want to say the MOTHER fandom on 2014? Especifically on DA. It was like a tiny family… Everyone knew each other. Everyone was nice with each other. It was so nice. But now everyone parted ways and I have no idea where everyone is. Most left DA (and so did I) and I can’t help but wonder where they are. But my current fandom is really nice too… It’s like a family, too… Sometimes.

P: Invent a random AU for any fandom (we always need more ideas).

Lately I’ve been thinking about a Go Ares AU a lot and hamano goes to tengawara for obvious reasons but that’s kinda boring so I gotta think about something more interesting >:3c

Kind of a joke AU, but still:

Have you guys ever heard about ~LA FERIA~? It’s like this weird Spanish thing we have. Everyone dances and sings these lame guitar songs which are mostly like aAAAAaAAAaaaYYYYYYYY @loreprotectionsquad can confirm BUT! that’s not the interesting thing! The interesting thing about Feria is that we basically get a mini amusement park on our town, just because!

So my brother and I thought about some Go kids there and it just…

Hamano gets Kurama a giant Snake plush and he tries to ride on a… Ride with it and it almost slips out but he clings to it and manages to save it. Hamano thinks it’s adorable. Kurama swears he’ll kill him if he tells someone. Hamano promised Hayami he’d get a plushie for him too, but he is unable (because you can only win one plush per day) so Hayami gets a dolphin plush for him. Imagine Hayami walking around with two overly joyful boyfriends clinging to their giant plushies. Goals.

Kirino and Shindou ride on the ferris wheel which they don’t set up anymore, but still. and Ibuki tries to climb it but fails (?

Shinsuke rides on some dinosaur themed train, and there’s clowns with balloons and stuff you can snatch from them. He gets a plastic axe. Which are super hard to get i need to tell you the story of how i got one when i was like 8. it was so stupid it’s funny He somehow convinces Tsurugi to ride too, while Tenma and Aoi look at them. They have become the ultime balloon snatchers. No one can stop them. Aoi and Tenma are so proud.

Taiyou comes, sees Tenma and waves at him, approaching him. Then all of the sudden, Fuyuka comes rushing after him, and tells Tenma that ‘Taiyou should be in right now, sorry for the inconvenience’ and picks him by the stomach (you know… like a kitten, with her arm around his torso? you get me, right?) while Taiyou tries to escape, but fails.

Kariya and Hikaru try to hide from Hiroto and Midorikawa, who have come with them, but Kariya wants some time alone, while they want to take pics of everything they do, basically.

Something about Yukimura and Fubuki was mentioned, along with Kishibe and Aphrodi, but I don’t remember ;v; Also, Amagi going with Mahoro and Yukie, and all of the third years (Minamisawa as well, for some reason) going together too.

My brother kinda dislikes Galaxy (except Tetsukado, Kusaka and Konoha) so I’ll do their stuff myself.

Minaho and Manabe compete to see who will get more plushies. They only get one keychain working together. They give it to the first team member that they see because they don’t know who should keep it.

But that was after the previously mentioned day, so the Second Year Trio got them plushies instead (they got the hang of one game and they WILL make the most of it. And, they have to help a boyfriend out, right?

So they spend the rest of the festivity together. And they have fun and stuff.

There’s one ride with horses. Konoha spends 98/100 there. Otherwise, she wouldn’t come. It’s so noisy, and crowded…

Kusaka comes and goes to check on her. He can’t ride on most… Rides (this is redundant) anyways. He’s too tall.

Tetsukado and Hamano competed to see who was better at Duck-Fishing. Let’s just say that Shinsuke and Hamano’s boyfriends came home with lots of plushes and prices…

Sakura aced all the games. How did she manage, no one knows (she was, in fact, the first one Minaho and Manabe offered the keychain to. But she rejected it and got two super sparkly keychains for them instead. Minaho and Manabe offered it anyways in exchange but she said that it was nothing and that they should keep the one they got.

Matatagi showed his brothers the place and rode on some rides (seriously how is this so redundant). Eventually they joined the Plushie Fest. Matatagi’s brothers cheered. He, not so much, not when he had to carry around giant plushies for the rest of the day, as his brothers were too busy exploring around.

I think that’s all??? Am I forgetting someone? except zanakurou but i don’t know what to do with him. he dances sevillanas. i don’t know. sorry darling

Oh, yeah, and there’s also this AU my brother and I made in which Kurama is a time traveler and quite literally Hamano and Hayami’s son (he has a big sister named Estrella but that’s for another time) and he has come because their parents were too slow too realize they had feelings for each other and he fears for his existence and his sister’s (???

Q: A ship you’ve abandoned and why.

Can you believe I used to ship Min/////a/kura? But, to be honest, I didn’t know what that was. I just found some comic of them and I thought it was cute. Then I got more into InaEle, and well…

I’m saying that one because I can’t think of anything else XD

R: A pairing you ship that you don’t think anyone else ships.

The Kurama multiship fest, which I will proceed to explain, even though the first one is sorta popular, but still:

Hamano and Hayami, because I saw HamaKura and I thought it was really cute! (when i got used to kurama, at first i didn’t like him but i found hamahayakura and i went ‘eeeeeeeehhh’ but you already know that story) then I thought of HamaHaya + HamaKura and Hayami just got into the package for some reason XD

Hikaru, because I was salty I didn’t ship him with Minamisawa and I wanted to ship him with someone but I didn’t know who, then he had a little scene with Hikaru on the games (when they go look for Shinsuke or something) and a lightbulb light up on my head

Tenma because, honestly, how can you have someone you ship with everyone but not Tenma? Plus it’s cute.

Tsurugi because I saw somebody posting drawings of them and I went ‘hey they cute’ and that’s all. also the fandom team might or might not had something to do with it

Kariya because they had this scene when they went to China on CS that i don’t even remember but what i do remember is my brother asking me why i wasn’t saying anything about the ship, and i went ‘well, i don’t, BUUUUUUUUUT’ and so it started.

Minaho because, and listen well because this one is weird, I was in class, and I was bored, and I decided to make quadrants for some InaEle characters, I started by Minaho and went ‘huh so, Moirail, Manabe, Matesprit, Manabe, Kismesis, Manab-wait’ so I decided to crack it up a bit and now it was ‘Moirail, Hamano, Matesprit, Manabe’ but I wanted to give him a Kismesis (that could’ve been perfectly Matatagi, but I didn’t think of that because I’m dumb) (also read: a love rivalry more or less) so I gave him Kurama. THEN I played BigBang and they had a small interaction and since back then I couldn’t even read Hiragana I don’t know what they said but Kurama made a sad face afterwards so I take it as I was right

Fei because Kurama learns Bouncer Rabbit on Galaxy (actually the two-people version. He does it with Hamano because I’m obvious) and also Fei stole his number, now Kurama has to steal something back (???

Taiyou because on my CS game Kurama, Taiyou and Hikaru always do hissatsus together on the random thing (that makes also Sakura and Matatagi do Butterfly Dream together all the time for some reason. Which is funny because I lowkey shipped it before starting Galaxy) so I got used to seeing them together.

Ibuki because my brother always calls them losers (he’s a bit mean sometimes, but I love him ;v;) so I started relating them n stuff.

Hakuryuu because my brother and I have this thing called the ‘Spammer Club’ which is for characters that say other character’s name a lot. We have Hakuryuu (who we jokingly call churugispammer) Miyasaka, Ibuki, Hakuryuu and Kurama got in too for some reason. So yeah. It happened. N stuff.

Also I brotp him with Kinako, but I brotp Kinako with everyone.

S: What’s a headcanon you have?

Hmm… I headcanon that out of the Second Year Trio, only Hamano has siblings (2 sisters, him being the middle sib- and no that’s not me self projecting ok)

Hayami has mentioned more than once on the games that he wants to be a scientist, and I headcanon that it’s because his mother is! Which also means she’s super busy most of the time. So Hayami is quite dependent, but he can’t cook for his life. Hamano is surprisingly okay at cooking, and he’s learning to bake.

Also, Hayami really likes penguins for some reason.

*TL;DR: cue more oversharing about my experiences*

yeah so today has been a major rollercoaster ride but i think the painkiller is completely (or almost/mostly) faded out by now and i feel like i can think so much clearer after all that. some stuffs happened:

firstly omg my hand tremors are a constant thing today (and my hands are still trembling a bit rn tbh) and it’s ridiculously shaky; so much body pain today tbh

so since the past two days were like a constant high mania feeling, today was the day where i basically crashed and tried not to burn too much

today was the day where the like bad stuff™ that comes with mania came and hoooo boi it was interesting and very rollercoaster-like

on the one hand i was ecstatic™ and there were so many moments where i was gushing with happy, love, empathy, appreciation, excitement, enthusiasm, and all the positive emotions (i did this whenever i saw/experienced something i like and thought of ideas/explanations/realized epiphanies); also multitasking/diverted attention was very much a thing during this phase

most important part of today tbh: i went to an art talk which i didn’t plan but when we got there i was so engaged (bc it was like a digital drawing class and i like drawing/art in general sooo). AND LIKE OMG. i don’t wanna spam y’all with details but i just realized/remembered how much i love drawing and the thrill of drawing and how therapeutic it feels (so! i will be drawing more often for offline portfolio stuffs but i will one day try my hand at fandom art. *wink wink nudge nudge*) you have no idea there were so many times i was close to crying because i was so happy and relieved i found my love for drawing again

on the other hand as soon as all the high feelings were over, i could literally feel all the energy being sapped out of me and in the morning i felt intense panic bc i still had a lot of energy and i was just tired and salty that my plan to reset my schedule didn’t work and i was so tired and there were so many tears today (both from sads and happs)

BUT after showering i felt so much better and after that i just felt like i can think so much clearer and my mind is so much at peace. i have no idea whether i’ll be able to sleep tonight but i have a good gut feeling about this

lastly: i will be sleeping soon and i kno im behind on all my replies (dw i have some drafted already) but i think i will be back to normal soon! (and also being able to experience this 3 day mania episode made me really empathize with y’all who are struggling with mania/bpd. but, it also made me respect AND APPRECIATE what y’all are doing EVEN MOREEEEE and i see you guys making self-love efforts and [insert YOU’RE DOING AAMAZING SWEETIE GIF HERE]) <3333

edit: basically today i was bursting with empathy, appreciation, and relief omg

Just getting into Barisi, partly because of you. Had heard about the ship and then I saw someone rec the first part of your 'Groove' series. I spent most of the day reading those stories even though I hadn't seen a single ep of SVU. I have since changed that, though I'm shallow and started at s16. Now I want to follow a bunch of fellow Barisi fans, only to see people talk about how bad s18 was. How bad, in what way? I ask bc my last fandom was awful this past year. Thank you :)

I gotta say, you found the Groove Series just in time! I’ve been working on the final installment (i.e. The Wedding) for a while now, so hopefully it won’t be long until you have something actually new (as opposed to like 2 years old lol) to read :D

(stealth Barisi update: IT’S GETTING SO LONGGGG. I’M ADDING SO MUCH STUFF. I HAVE 3 EXTENSIVE SMUT SCENES AND I SWITCHED SOME THINGS AROUND AND THERE’S A TRIP AND DANCING AND RING SHOPPING BECAUSE SONNY DOESN’T HAVE A RING AND AAAAAH I’M BRIMMING WITH BARISI IDEAS :DDDDD)

Anyway.

As for how bad Season 18 was, I don’t know what you mean! What’s “Season 18?” It doesn’t ring a bell! Last thing I remember, Season 17 ended with a powerful episode (in which we lost Mike, unfortunately, and which we spent worrying about Barba’s death threats, and during which we were reassured Sonny had chosen to stay with SVU, and after which Liv went on a much deserved Paris vacation) and then we switched showrunners and we’re waiting to see what the new guy, Michael Chernuchin, will do :D

(seriously though, let me link you to some of my previous posts on S18 because, at this point, I barely remember what happened, I’ve only watched each episode once, as they aired, and I will never watch them again)

Oh, I do remember we never got a Sonny-centric episode, so that was swell. And I also remember no one got any character development whatsoever :D

And lol our fandom was pretty... turbulent in the past year, too, so you would have felt right at home! Bad show quality equals a stressed and agitated fandom, in my experience. When you have nothing to make you happy on a show you once enjoyed (and you have to rely on fic), it can be hard to maintain a level of enthusiasm, and it can be easy to snap.

During S18, some people distanced themselves, some of us got salty and started writing fix-it fic, some people managed to stay more positive (tell me your secrets!), and some people quit watching (no, YOU tell me your secrets!), lol.

Let’s hope Season 19 will be better.

Thanks again for this message, and I hope my delayed response made you feel a little bit more welcome. I have hope the show and the fandom (including the Barisi subset of it) will have a resurgence with this upcoming season, so don’t be deterred by our previous ramblings. Start watching Season 19 with an open mind, like I will, and hopefully we will all remember what it’s like to enjoy ourselves

3. Have you ever unfollowed someone over a fandom opinion?

Nah, not that I can remember. TBH I don’t usually unfollow people unless we have like a very specific falling out? I feel too guilty unfollowing people for like no reason, so I usually just don’t.

4. Do you have a NoTP in your fandom? Are they a popular OTP?*

TBH I don’t have A LOT of NoTPs and the way I feel like...IDK people can ship what they want, I just scroll past it. LOL I’m not intense about NoTPs BUT yeah there are a few pairings I’ve never been able to understand. I won’t put pairing names, just cause I don’t want it to show up in the tags or anything. For Daiya, I don’t like Kuramochi and Ryou, like they just don’t do it for me, Mostly because I dislike Ryou as a character.

For YOI I actually really dislike JJ being shipped with other characters, just cause I really appreciate how much he loves his fiance and how much she supports him, so I’m like leave them alone LOL, none of his ships are really POPULAR

And even tho, I’m not in the fandom since I don’t write for it yet, my like all time NoTP, the only one i really really legit hate , is Keith and Lance for Voltron. LOL I just don’t...get it?????

If I wanna go WAY back, Ereri also turned into a NoTP for me. I always loved Eremika tbh and then LOL, once I got into Eruri, I didn’t ever really care about Ereri like I thought I would.

5. Has fandom ever ruined a pairing for you?*

Actually for Daiya and K, there were times when Miyuki/Eijun and Saru/Yata were borderline NoTPs cause i was so frustrated and sick of the fandom stuff. now I don’t care anymore hahah and I actually appreciate Saru/Yata a lot more, especially while I’m writing the last few chapters of my DJ AU, it’s been like aww nostalgia.

7. Is there anything you used to like but can’t stand now?*

TBH Miyuki and Eijun really never sort of...came back to me. I was always iffy about them, but the pairing never grew on me again like Saru and Yata did. Like I got frustrated, but I still read fics and enjoyed them, and enjoy them to this day, but Miyuki and Eijun I was pretty just done.

Also continuing to go WAY BACK to my old fandom, I just really dislike Ereri now. I grew to love Eremika and Eruri wayyyyy too much to go back to Ereri and the fandom for them was really toxic anyway.

8. Have you received anon hate? What about?*

Yeah the worst fandom hate I ever got was about a Reisaru coffeeshop AU fic I wrote. I was told my Muna was pushy and seemed autistic and that my writing was off lately, among other things. It was probably the harshest, most intense comment I’ve ever received, and to this day I haven’t written a Reisaru fic since. I think I posted one after but It was because I had already written it LOL.
