4. a story idea you haven't written yet

sooo many...hmm ok what’s plaguing my brain right now that i have no like Zero words on the page for. probably the faramir and gandalf and denethor's death fic. i think about it...frequently. there's a longer post about this somewhere but i just think that faramir and denethor's complicated relationship should get to affect faramir and gandalf's less complicated relationship for the worse <3 what do you even do when you have no one left to blame for the death your father drove himself to and you find out that YOUR mentor saved YOU and then stood by and watched as he burnt himself alive. WHAT DO YOU DO!!!! it plagues me.

19. the most interesting topic you've researched for a fic

i feel like i never end up in particular like….idk. historical rabbit holes like i see some people go into for some reason? actually i know the reason and its if i really let myself get into it id never get anything done. i’ve already been seeing that with rivendell au. and most things i write are so…nebulously atmospheric. that i don’t necessarily need to get the details exactly right. but i guess the one that pops out in my brain is when i ended up on the wikipedia page for “forlorn hope” which is a REAL MILITARY TERM for a sacrificial vanguard. THEY REALLY CALL IT THAT. i think about this all the time.

28. your least favourite part of the writing process

ugh the one im in right now. where im kind of lost in the weeds and muddling through a section (usually the end / some sort of a transition. im awful at those) and it kind of feels like everything is bad and i don’t know what i’m writing about anymore. i find it so hard to step back and get the bigger picture because it feels like it doesn't actually help me put any more damn words on the page. but that is just my brain lying to me.

because this last week in particular has been absolutely emotionally draining, any couple from a disney film you like in a robin hood-esque universe?

Hmmmm okay that is a very good one...

Okay I think I've got it. Who better to be outlaws for the Greater Good than Tiana and Naveen. Naveen the spoiled prince who is exiled or lost during a diplomatic trip meets Tiana who's doing more than giving gumbo to the whole neighbourhood.

Our maid Marian would then of course be Lottie, in her pretty pink palace secretly aiding our dashing heroes. You already have Lawrence as a pretender to the throne, with Dr. Facilier as his evil Vizier.

They hide out in the bayou where the gators eat any of the sheriff's men and the parties are not only merry but full of jazz (and excellent food).

Of course then there will a plot for poor Lottie's hand in marriage, so they'll have to sneak in in disguise. of course it's a trap, but who could resist the competion for the best ukelele player or the best chef for the royal wedding feast?

(Lottie meanwhile is doing her absolute best throwing tantrums and stringing everyone along while she works on her escape plans)

Naveen gets captured, of course, because it was either him or Tiana and he can't let that uptight, wonderful waitress run that risk. Lottie sneaks out at midnight to the dungeons to see this outlaw her dear friend Tia's been in a tizzy about. She gets captured by the Evil Pretender's (shadow) men before she can get him free and there's a scuffle but she is finally defeated. She is forced into her wedding gown, Naveen is languishing in the dungeons (which conveniently overlook the wedding banquet set up in the courtyard of course).

Lottie is forced to walk the aisle at knifepoint, the priest starts his speech and in swans Tiana (in a very fetching adventurer's outfit) shouting her objection. a guard disarms her but she lays out the whole evil plot while duelling the guards with whatever she can get her hands on (most large spoons and knives and a comical drumstick from the banquet tables). all the wedding guests gasp, Naveen cheers from the dungeon, but Dr. Facilier and the Evil Pretender just laugh. It is no matter that she revealed their plot, there is no higher authority here.

Except for Naveen's extremely Royal parents who Tiana went to warn. Their golden armoured guards are only too happy to free their prince and apprehend their old advisor. Lottie smacks him in the face with her extremely spikey wedding bouquet and all's well. The King and Queen of Maldonia turn to where their newly found and freed son was standing with the two brave ladies who saved him, but he's no longer there.

Cut to the three of them running away on a river boat, dancing and playing in the gleaming sunlight as they make their way far far away from there.

1. Their happiest moment: Felicia’s happiest moment was finding out that Laurel was alright after the whole debacle regarding her pack, and later on when Colette was killed by poachers. She was legit terrified when she and Katie hadn’t heard a single peep from her because Felicia tends to go to the worst possible scenario when anxious or worried, and to finally hear back that Laurel was ok, as well as Jake, was a HUGE stress reliever

2. Their favorite meme quote: Sue Sylvester saying “I’m going to…” (I’m sorry, but Felicia LOVES that meme because she loves all the lines Sue has said throughout the seasons of Glee)

3. A nervous habit of theirs: She tends to pick at her nails when the nerves decide to kick in; not bite, mind you. Strictly picking

4. A turn-off of theirs: Cowardice, which really makes her a true Gryffindor; if you can’t find the courage to face whatever it is that you’re scared of, Felicia doesn’t deem you worthy of even talking to her

5. Their favorite ‘90’s song: Come As You Are by Nirvana

6. Their aesthetic: Goth Punk, definitely

7. Their favorite childhood book: Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank (Felicia still remembers reading it in elementary school, and while it broke her heart and made her FURIOUS at the Nazis, Felicia loved it because of Anne’s courage and hope that everything will be alright in the end)

9. If they fall in love quickly or take their time: Oh, Felicia takes her time. ICEBERGS move faster than she does when falling for someone (because the girl does not trust ANYONE; it is honestly a miracle that Brett managed to get through to her)
