childhood trio izuku, katsuki, and y/n!! who are constantly dragged to each other things! Like, Katsuki and Izuku who both got signed up for T-ball and Pee-Wee Soccer. Katsuki who eventually got good at it and had baseball tournaments every other weekend and your parents are dragging both you and Izuku out to watch Katsuki. The sweetness of a sticky box of crackerjacks and peanuts shared as you spend dozen of weekends sitting together in the stands at his field games with the big pointer finger foam hand and corn dogs — and the everlasting hope of catching a ball. It gets close to happening once or twice, and eventually Katsuki reluctantly gives everyone in his fanclub a signed baseball from the game. It sits proudly on your bookshelves.  Katsuki who in middle school eventually gets recruited to the small wrestling team as well and so now you’re stuck in the van in between these too in the back seat and driving all the way to his other tournaments in a giant sweaty gym. All of you with folders of paperwork in your laps as you dutifully try to complete hw before the match. You and Izuku snickering behind your books as Katsuki complains about a weggie from the uniform being too tight in the crotch. And Izuku, who started winning at spelling bees at an early age; whose ramblings landed him a spot in debate club when he got older. The T-ball never really stuck for him like it did for Kacchan. Who’s got an auditorium full of overachievers and stuffy dressed people staring at their stopwatch’s that are taking down every note. The evenings where there’s a tie being grueling. The early mornings a challenge of wits as you and Katsuki used to pilfer through a dictionary together. Index fingers frantically running over the letters of the words Izuku was trying to spell as your heads nearly bump into each other. The evenings where you’d lay your head on his or your parents shoulders as you tried to stay awake . . . Momma Inko always gently patting the two of you on the shoulders when the debate is over. You and Katsuki rubbings the sleep out of your eyes as you run off to congratulate Izuku. The late night milkshakes in the car as he continue talking about all the exciting little quirks of the game. You nodding along w The hours spent where Izuku would practice his word count at the kitchen table afterschool. You and Katsuki, used to the new routine, now bring headphones to drown out the noise of him practicing his talking so that you both can focus on studying. And y/n who’d gotten signed up for dance classes the same time the boys were busy attempting miniature versions of sports. Eventually sticking with it and finding that she’s naturally talented at looking graceful across the ballet stage. Always having Izuku and Katsuki come out to the performances and sitting with all the parents. The two of them always forced to dress formally like proper audience members and each of them clutching and handing you a bouquet of their own choosing when you arrive from backstage. Izuku’s classic green button up and eagerly handing you a sweetly wrapped ghetto bouquet as he comments on the ballet. Katsuki who comes out in slacks and loafers and sheepishly hands you a classic bouquet of red roses with his sweaty hands. Sometimes even getting you a matching bouquet so you can take photos with it in your costume; a factor you never seem to miss with a gasp and tease. Y/N who’s always preparing for the ballet over at Katsuki’s house. His father taking the time to help prepare your costume and pointe shoes together. The family office (which already was a design studio) now an explosion of ribbons and bubble gum pop as pins and needles do hems and tucks. Your mother and his always taking the time to practice teaching you how to do the makeup and hair yourself. Katsuki will always peak his head into the office to office to announce his presence as you swivel your head and beam from the dress pedalstol.
Y/N who quickly dives into theatre and music. The Suzuki cello lessons taking place for so long that eventually when Katsuki gets signed up for drum lessons the new carpool starts to break your routine. Instead of the usual music that you’re studying your accompanied by Katsuki tapping anxiously with his fingers against his knees. His lessons that take place down the hall so loud that you can hear them in the midst of your scales. And everyday for the first few months when asked how it was you’d grumble and snark out “not really sure it was impossible to hear with the super loud drums next door.” And quickly his lessons require a little bit of piano playing and soon enough the hallway is filled with plinkering notes as he attempts a sonata every Wednesday for 20 minutes.  Eventually he gets good enough that his mother starts pressuring him to accompany your cello playing. And it’s 2 grueling days spent at his house where you’re forced to sit as Katsuki stiffly positions himself at the keyboard and hammers out the accompaniment to your solo. Very quickly the parents learn that this isn’t going to work very well and you and Katsuki go back on your merry way with lessons. Sometimes now you even get a good giggle when hammering along to something only for a drumstick to fly out of his hand. The resulting pause and string of curses simply hilarious from your safe distance.  Y/N who joins theatre and try’s out for the musicals for several years. Whose excitement and participation in captivating performances moves Izuku to join shortly after. Momma Inko packing snacks into your bags as you stay afterschool. Your own parents picking the two of you up and having Izuku over for dinner until Momma Inko gets off of work.  Izuku who’s fantastic at memorizing lines and lyrics that he quickly gets lead roles especially when there’s so few boys in theatre. And you who’s good enough at music and dancing that you’re on the “dance team” which is a special group of students from similiar backgrounds who get to do the more interesting choreography. The two of you a perfect duo of tenor and soprano which means that you can sing out all the songs out of context to your hearts content together. The two of you incredibly enthusiastic the year you do Macbeth because it’s the first time you’ve both landed big roles: Izuku as Banquo and Y/N as the head witch in the play. And now the both of you get to interact together on stage besides just being ensemble and chorus members.
Every rehearsal in costume you get to prance around with a cloak and dare to scare Izuku in the dark backstage. Except he’ll usually silently flinch and then grin with his arms open for an embrace whispering “n/n!” as he beckons you forth, “didn’t know you got back from costume and makeup already. That was super fast. You look good - uh I mean bad. Yeah, bad.”
And Katsuki’s forced to watch by himself with all of your folks giving y’all a congratulations and handing off another bouquet to you and giving Izuku a playful punch to the shoulder. The parents enthusiastically asking to get pictures of the two of you in costume.
Y/N with best few photos always ending up on your wall just like the rest of them that you have with the boys after everything you’ve done all these years together. Izuku has his catalogued by year in a scrapbook and Katsuki has his favorite one framed: a photo of you in your ballet outfit and him in his baseball get-up with a fashion disaster Izuku in the middle as he had to dress up for both events. The poor boy slightly sunburnt and covered in a far amount of glitter sandwiched between y’all.

look y'all don't ask how I got here but here we are
Sako Kota
Tumblr media
He's easy to spot, tall, middle part, blonde hair that fades into black at the tips, late twenties, handsome.
He comes in every week, usually mid week, when it's dead and you're bored to tears. So it's not as if your eyes could wander anywhere else and he doesn't make it easy.
Sitting down in the same booth everytime, closer to the back, both the entrance and the exit behind the counter are best seen from his spot. Plus the advantage of watching through the giant window while being concealed by the tint that keeps the sun from baking you alive.
He dresses nicely, adorned in turtlenecks no matter the season, even now as the cicadas cry out of misery, begging the sun for relief, his throat is shielded by a thin fold of fabric. The sleeves are three quartered as he takes off his light long jacket and tucks it into his booth. Glancing at an expensive watch to check the time. It's the only glamorous thing about him, the rest of his clothes are always form fitting and simple, paired with well worn but unscuffed boots. As if he buffs and polishes them.
He's ordered his usual and the sweet of the week to go, even though he always sits inside. You're sure it's so no one will bother him when it's time to collect his dishes.
Today it is an early gray tea cake and his normal latte. One you could make with your eyes closed, regular milk steamed, regular milk foam, only one shot of espresso so it isn't too bitter and when you have it, three pumps of gomme syrup. You've noticed he prefers it over simple syrup. You wonder if the gum arabic really does make the drink silky smooth like your boss says. You've made his drink for yourself once or twice after he's left but you always felt weird about trying it as you stared into the bubbles of the foam. Felt almost creepy as you dump out your one daily free beverage over some guy you barely knew.
Maybe it was because you knew he never noticed you the way you did him.
Anytime you'd call his name he seemed to look right through you or worse, glare down his nose at you, eyes focused on the white container in your hands that held his sweet caffeinated nectar and the white box with his treat neatly wrapped up.
“Sako?” You call out almost as a question as if he weren't the only other living soul in the cafe aside from you while your lazy coworker hid away out back. His cake neatly packaged on colored paper to make the gray of the cake and white of the soft creme pop under the cellophane window. His drink in your palm as you reach out to hand it to him over the counter.
Rough calloused fingers brush over yours and stupidly you feel your heart race. Honey brown eyes like molten amber glaring down at you from the contact. Sticky is his gaze as he keeps eye contact and this time he isn't looking through you.
He's looking right at you.
His face neither softens nor sours, stays in that bitchy expression of disgust that you think he wears as a mask to shield away some other part of him. Still it stings, feels embarrassing to be under the weight of his scrutiny.
Mortifying as you pull your hand away and realize what you've done on his cup where you normally write a name.
You'd been day dreaming, thinking of the kanji in his name, “help” or “assistant” and “fox.” The idea of it made you giggle as you must have absent-mindedly drew a little chibi fox with a clipboard and glasses before the espresso machine whined for attention leaving you to forget all about your little drawing.
Cold sweat drips down your nape as you wait for your coworker to come back from his ages long smoke. Jittery as you shifted your weight from one foot to the other before he finally returned, shoving your way towards the back with nothing more than a hissed “restroom” in hopes you're out of sight before Sako can see your drawn stupidity that he may take for an insult. Rushing into the sweltering heat of the ally, groaning as you fist your apron and try to fight back tears you hadn't realized were welling behind long lashes.
Instead you miss his scoff as that heavy gaze cuts over the lines of black sharpie. The ink stark against the white paper cup that he turns slightly so he can see it better. The chibi fox in black and white, clipboard perched between its paws and round glasses sitting atop his smiling snout.
You'd even given the little fox a turtle neck, it makes his lips twitch upward.
It's a shame really, a damn shame that you missed how soft his face gets when he smiles.

this has always been an interesting headcanon "genre" to me, but what types of candy do you think each tf2 merc would like? i think that pyro would like those Zotz candies that fizz and foam in your mouth!
Oooo! Thats a good one. Lets see...
Scout: Generally anything sour/bubble gum (Zots, Razzles, Gold mine gum, Nik L Nips)
Pyro: Loves fruity candy and any kind of candy that has a fun twist to them (Razzles, Zots, starburst, fruit tootsie rolls)
Sniper: Doesnt like sugar very much but has a few favorites that he likes to stash away and ones not even a candy technically? (strawberry filled hard candies, Tim Tam, Milky way, flavored licorice)
Soldier: Goes absolutely feral for the candy in MREs (Chuckles, Charms, m&ms, skittles)
Demo: Loves anything with toffee and caramel (Heath, 100 grand, Werthers, Almond Roca)
Engineer: Loves some hard candy or chocolate (Idaho spud, old fashioned hard candy, butterscotch, tootsie roll)
Heavy: Good old chocolate. Maybe something fruity if hes in the mood (cadbury, assorted hard fruit candy, 3 musketeers, jujyfruits)
Medic: What some people would call "old persons candy" (good and plenty, bit o honey, Necco wafers, Black licorice)
Spy: I dont really think of Spy as a candy person but he has the biggest sweet tooth for cookies (Chips ahoy, Oreo, Famous amos, keeblr) but he would absolutely love those candy ciggarettes not the sweetest candy but just sweet enough
Bonus-
Miss Pauling: Would kill someone for some lemon heads or gobstoppers

[received :🖤☕🍯 Sichuan Pepper Milk Tea 🥜]
By now you're indisposed to expect another cup of curdled crap waiting for you balanced precariously on top of a massive mountain of files that you've yet to make a dent in with your lieutenant MIA thanks to more meddling seraphims and their dirty disguised divine mission of keeping interpersonal work relations at a minimum, and to keep you and your bae from taking back shots in the back rooms.
So once you've groaned melodramatically behind the cowl of a talon you've clasped over your eyes to spare them the initial shock of what was to come and plopped down into the well worn seat of your chair that's still somehow managing to support your weight despite all the scooting and spinning you put it through with wings beating to propel you places sitting rather than 'just get your fat ass up' as Mic would say when beholden to your stubborn nature to stay seated once roosted, you're mentally prepared. Kind of.
It's the slow burning smell of something faintly peppery and sweet as licorice that finally convinces you to chance a peek and- to your utter surprise, Mt. Didn't Do Shit Today has been conquered down to single envelope and a standard paper cup with the heat guard of a cardboard ring carefully tucked around it's middle, padding you knew all too well, though your spare didn't just peel off when it got wet. Noting the black lipstick coloring the shape of a peck in place of a stamp, you snort and take your cup of og office clerk brew. It can't possibly be bad- your usual coffee collector knows your taste buds better than you do at times. Probably because she sucks on them so often-
With a deep exhale of relief, your half-lidded gaze swivels down to inspect the much needed caffeine. You note the presentation of the frothed milk on top and the faintest tan in its tone indicating it was squeezed from some kind of nut - not yours, but you'll keep that in mind for later when you finally get to see her back at the apartment once the weight of the work day sends you couch crashing. Flecks of some kind of powdered mix dusts the top of the latte in shades of dirt and ash, and situated in the middle like a cherry on top floats a toasted star of anise.
The first sip is mostly foam, but when you hit the luke warm mouth feel underneath- the rich and buttery concentration of cashews confirms your theory on the milk used in the tea. And it's certainly tea you taste steeped into the cream. Sweet like the unassuming obsidian shade of licorice sticks, and spicy with a hint of smoked cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. It's the kind of flavor her mouth tastes like after she's smoked a cigarette in your office and chewed a stick of Big Red Gum.
You almost feel like she's doing your reports over in her corner right now, so you take your time and sip slowly and intermittently as you pick over various knick-knacks around your desk like it's work. Technically it is. You're just psyching yourself up to sign off that one signature line left on one file near the envelope and its oddly endearing stamp. You notice, with a soft smirk, the same shade of lipstick is on the side of the cup lid, though whether it indicates an anxious need to see if the flavor was ass or just a demonstration of ~equality~ via wifey tax, you're not sure. Doesn't matter when both are unironically adorable?
You make a point to lift your mask just enough to lip the rim and drink from the smear point next, staining your mouth in the process. Once the powder of the foam makes its way down the cup, you taste more of the spice blend and something else. It's got to be the ash gray in the powder, and you wonder if she gave her cigarette a little shake on top to give you a little something special. Though the strong taste of pepper convinces you otherwise. Soon the combo of it and the extra cinnamon dust burn in to your mouth in a way that you now realize why the drink itself was barely warm when you first indulged. Like the end of a monotonous, meeting filled day, the heat of it came later...you just hope you can actually taste the licorice of her lip gloss then. Your mouth's gone numb. (-3 👄 feeling, +996 hp restored.)
[Flavors: milk tea, honey, cashews, licorice, star of anise, cinnamon, nut meg, cloves, Sichuan pepper, spicy, sweet, smokey, numbing.]

Sweeprawl - The Sweet Dreams Pokémon
Gum/Fighting Type
ATTENTION: This Pokémon has the Gum Type. A new typing discovered in the Intoh region. The typing is given to Pokémon with stretchable bodies and Pokémon, that bring fun to others.
The evolved form of Bouraum. Sweeprawl is a very powerful and proud fighter. Its body is elastic and entirely made of different forms of gum. The strings around its head can extend themselves and be used as whips. The foam on its feet is used for high jumps. And the gum around its arms makes it stronger. It really packs a punch and can load up its paws with prickly energy, which has similar properties to electricity. It loves kids and would do anything to protect them. It likes fighting adults though...

Excerpt 2 from Paragon Parting
After the Fall, nature’s reclamation was swift. In the cement laden cities where more than half the world’s population resided, verdant greenery and roiling waters overtook the streets and highways within months. Ground level streets were the first to crumble under the colossal weight of nature’s rejoice. Then, water and wind corroded the skyways and roadways of the upper echelon. Millions of tons of pavement, cement, and steel rebar collapsed with the burden of disrepair. The unrelenting force of water, spurred by the expanding system of roots and mycelia, widened the cracks to make way for the liquid onslaught.
The first 5 years after the Fall saw the violent decay of humanity’s creations. Glass windows shattered, steel rusted and crumbled, and millions of miles of single family homes ruptured their siding and wooden frames to the burgeoning breath of the living Earth.
In the next 10 years, dams ruptured and flooded hundreds of miles of valleys. What few people remained boar witness to the roaring waters, and were inevitably doomed to their own circumstance. Entire coastlines of stilted structures were consumed by salted seas. In the cycle of freezing and thawing, pipes burst. In the spring and summer, soils and natural ash from cities foam to the top of every surface, collecting mini ecosystems that attract larger wildlife like birds, rodents, and even larger mammals. Within a decade, some cities are completely reclaimed. Skeletal steel structures jutting out above verdant green lushes.
And yet, for the few rural places still maintained by human hands, it would appear that days passed without change. Temperate rural pastures, overlooked by looming farmhouses tended by survivors, were beacons to a time that only existed in memories. The only indication of the event of the Fall was the slow march of entropy upon the most ingenious of man’s creations: robotics. Without the constant production of replacement parts and software upgrades, Guardian Automatons began to show signs of their age. Those unlucky enough to be absent of the careful attention of human hands eventually succumbed to moisture, rot, or rust.
Once the pillar of civilization, the Guardian Automatons all over the United States began to fall to the relentless barrage of passing time.
In downtown Seattle in Washington state, the forces of the Taiga rainforest climate overcame most of the western part of the state. Pillars of the city like the Space Needle fell within the first few years. Waterfront homes long ago collapsed into the water on Puget Sound, Lake Washington, and Lake Union. Wildfires, blown over from the east of the state, ravaged the new construction mega structures all over the western part of the state. Unchecked, fires devastated most of the rural parts of the east as well. However, small enclaves of humanity managed to remain.
In the once thriving Pike’s Place Market, the lower levels had long ago flooded. The gum wall stood below several feet of water, the acrid sweet smell of mint and strawberry just a distant memory long faded. The waterfront, having endured many years of renovation and remodel, was now completely submerged. The anti-gravity viewing deck still hovered just above the water, mere feet above its launch pad powered by an inaccessible but infinitely renewable energy core beneath the water. The massive skyscrapers that once capped this technological marvel of a city now sat upon waterlogged foundations. Whole structures began to moan and buckle. However, protected by the sound, many parts of downtown Seattle still remained.
Around the historic Pioneer Square district, where Seattle’s founders first established their roots, great thickets of moss and vine consumed the venerable brick and stone architecture. The old totem poles stood in solemn watch as ferns and lichen made a feast of the paving stones and sidewalks. The wild, natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest had returned to reclaim the ground that had once been tamed by human ingenuity.
The splendorous glass spheres that had once housed Amazon’s headquarters were now great terrariums of nature’s own making, harboring entire ecosystems that hummed and buzzed with life. Ivy had overtaken the façade of the spheres, their tendrils creeping into every crevice and nook. Inside, all manner of wildlife flourished, from scurrying rodents to songbirds, their chittering calls echoing within the confines of the structure. The previously manicured vegetation had gone feral, creating a labyrinth of greenery thriving in the generous light the spheres provided.
Further north, the University of Washington’s sprawling campus was all but unrecognizable. The iconic Drumheller Fountain, which had once been the heartbeat of the university, was now a verdant wetland, where ducks nested, and frogs croaked in symphony. The imposing Gothic spires of Suzzallo Library had surrendered to ivy and moss, their once proud, stern lines softened by a generous green blanket.
Amid the ruin, humanity was not entirely absent. On higher grounds, where the rampant greenery was kept somewhat at bay, survivors had established enclaves. They had transformed remnants of the city’s past into fortresses against the encroaching wilds. The iconic Pike’s Place Market, though its lower levels had given way to encroaching waters, was a bustling hub of trade, where people bartered goods, shared stories and kept the spark of community alive.
At the city’s outskirts, where the Starbuck’s headquarters had once stood, small agricultural settlements had sprung up. Using the skeletal remains of the corporate behemoth, the survivors had built greenhouses, harnessing the resilient spirit of the Pacific Northwest to cultivate crops and rear livestock.
As nature spread its green fingers across the remains of the once thriving city, these pockets of humanity kept vigil, proof of mankind’s indomitable spirit even in the face of great change. Amid the ruin, the once proud city of Seattle was a testament to both the destructive and healing power of nature, and humanity’s relentless will to survive.
A few miles away in Pioneer Square, a thankful few feet above sea level, Slade stood on cement pillar. Aged pebbles, crumbs beneath his boots, crunched as he leapt down to the bed of verdant moss just below. He moved among the tin sheets, makeshift siding of constructed buildings made by hand over the last decade. He made a winding path through the multi-story buildings, the foundations of which were built on steel storage containers brought here in the early days when large gas-powered machinery was still viable. Now, they relied almost entirely on the few reserves of solar power that could be stored during the limited summer months of full sun. Long trailing wiring hung from the tops of nearly buildings, their roof covered with panels upon panels of solar sheets.
Nearly 200 people lived here now, he reflected as he continued his path, trotting up stairs made from old fire escapes. When he came here with his brother Gavin, it had just been the two of them. Two kids, scared and alone after their parents passed from the Sick. That’s what they called it here. In other places, it had other names: FI, Fry, the Wake. He’d heard it called a hundred names from travelers.
They had more than a few of those. Mostly come looking for the Guardian Automatons. It wasn’t hard to see their usefulness. Built to repair infrastructure, communicate emergency messages, and respond to citizen alerts, these hulking machines were the crowning glory of modern Seattle before the Fall. Even though the progress of decay in the city was faster than they could maintain, they were still clearly coveted.
People would kill to get them. Slade had nine. He knew there were close to 20 in King County, and he had nearly half.
Most of them were here before he was, assigned to various parts of the downtown area. After all, it was Seattle taxpayers who funded their creation and maintenance.
Slade called this place the Maynard District. Actually, it was Gavin’s name for what they built here. Slade didn’t have the heart to change it.

[RichyBuddy] "Hey, I got your favourite Coffee."
| 💜💜💜 --- 'I love you' Sentence Starters;
Richard never really knew just how much he must rely on his smoking habit as a way of stress relief till he stopped doing it. Only now was he aware of how often he would go out and get a pack of them. It was a good thing Richard was just known for his so called ‘grumpy’ demeanor. So him being in a bad mood thanks to the lack of the sweet nectar nicotine became for him, it went pretty unnoticed. Richard hadn’t understood how much of a vice it had become to him to resort to smoking for a needed break. Not even just a sip of coffee helped him, he was on the verge of calling up Bailey. Tell him to get in his office now ass ready, just so he could have something to work out the stress.
Sitting outside the back entrance of the cafe’ just needing a moment to get some air, more he was kind of hoping to smell the traces of smoke from others who used the alleyway as a sort of smoking zone.Richard left the front of house to Buddy and Val, so he could wait for their first aid kit delivery to come in. That wasn’t a lie, but they weren’t meant to show for a few more hours. Maybe he’ll go back inside and claim they are running late well he sent Bailey that plausible text he had in mind.
Maybe Richard needed to look into those patches? He knew there was gum but he hated gum, it was gross. Seeing someone chewing in a food like service job on top of that? Was even worse. Before Richard could really make much of a choice to move he felt the back door start to open and took a few steps forward so it could open up. Eyeing Buddy as they walked outside, blue and pink eyes. Right away made Richard recall why he was going through this torment. When Buddy had changed their eyes to yellow he knew he truly had upset his son with the way they went about their vaping habit. Richard would do anything for his son, even suffer like this. Slightly scolding himself over complaining just a few moments ago.
Hey I got your favorite coffee
Richard took the mug right away know it would be a cinnamon coffee drink, even before he saw the small stick used as garnish on top the foam of the streamy hot drink. That first sip tasted like heaven to him especially right now.The strong smell from his favorite spice he swore cut out the want of the taste of nicotine he was currently craving. Such a great smell, made the eagle even wish for some baked goods with the flavor. Coffee really was the answer to all his problems. Though he may still text Bailey. Coffee did not help when he got turned on after all, if anything just made it so he could give Bailey a longer time in his office alone later.
“Everything okay up there?” Richard asks, smiling a bit as reached for the cinnamon stick once and plucks it free from the foam. Tipping it to the side of the mug so to clear off the foam before he put the stick into his beak. Buddy letting him know that everything was going well just hit one of their usual slow times so Buddy figured they make Richard a drink in the down time. Richard slightly chewed on the end of the stick, man it reminded him of the feel of a cigarette right now. Even when he pulled it out and held it between his fingers.
Richard did have a hunch though that the coffee wasn’t a just cause gesture. As he returned the stick his mouth and playful ruffled up Buddy’s hair.
“Mijo, I am not upset with you. You had every right to be upset with me and your father.” Richard states. “And seeing how I made this deal with you to cut the habit out as well I can see a bit better how you were viewing the situation.” And boy did he understand his son's moods at the time as well. “Admittedly I didn’t handle that in the best way and yes you’re right it was unfair considering I smoke, well smoked. As well. That isn’t setting the best example to my son after all.” Richard expresses as he continues to chew on the end of his cinnamon stick before taking it out so he could enjoy another sip of the coffee in his mug. “I won’t always get it right but I will try to not upset you, well best I can at least.” Even if Richard would say otherwise? He wasn’t perfect after all.
“Besides, I tend to forget your not my little duckling anymore. You can make some choices all on your own. But, you aren’t that little bird who just listened to ‘this is bad’ anymore.” Richard smiles looking at Buddy its just so hard to grasp the idea of his son growing up. Becoming their own person so to speak. “I need to have proper conversations with you now. So we can reach a better understanding.” Richard adds as he takes hold of the door gesturing to Buddy to go inside now. “Let's head in for now, they are running late and your dad said he will drop by if I;m not there to greet him. You know how that will go for me.” In all fairness the cinnamon stick could only do so much

This product contains 120 ml (4.05 oz) and has a pretty noticeable slightly perfume-y scent.
Tumblr media
The cleanser has kind of a fluffy creamy texture.
Tumblr media
After adding water, the cleanser is quite creamy and soft on the skin.
Tumblr media
Once it's rinsed clean, I really noticed a slightly squeaky clean feeling, it wasn't irritating but it really made it a little bit difficult to rinse off of the skin. Luckily it didn't leave a residue or feel dry after rinsing.
Recommended use is to apply over a wet face with gentle massaging motions. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. After using, first to note, this has a very strong fragrance, I'd describe it as floral and kind of perfumey. If this is going to be a problem, please pass on this cleanser. The ingredients however are pretty nice with a few irritants and many beneficial ingredients for any skin type. I have dry/sensitive leaning skin and I didn't have any issues. And as I mentioned above, this cleanser does have a kind of squeaky feeling when rinsing it off which I like to avoid as normally that's quite drying for me. But, my skin felt soft and smooth after using, minus any residue or film. It does a nice job in a double cleanse and removes all of the makeup left after an oil cleanser quite efficiently and when using a cotton pad and wiping it on your skin with toner, there's no makeup leftover at all. You can also get away with using very little product, it spreads well and it does bubble up very well. The texture is soft and pleasant to the touch. I'd recommend this to anyone with oily, combination, and dry skin, but if you have very sensitive skin or just don't care for fragrance, there are other options out there.
What I like: I really enjoyed how smooth my skin was after using it and the soft creamy texture of the cleanser. I like the ingredients a lot and feel like it really cleanses the skin and removes any leftover makeup or sunscreen well. It also doesn't leave a film or residue once rinsed off. What I don't like: this product has a very strong scent, there are several irritants and this has a noticeable squeaky feeling on the skin and it's harder to rinse off as a result.
Pros:
Hydrating
Non-drying
Nice ingredients
Lovely texture
Removes makeup and sunscreen well
Doesn't leave a film or residue
Cons:
Fragrance
Some irritants
Kind of difficult to rinse off
Would I buy this?
Probably not
Rating: 7.5/10

REVIEW: Ellie Goulding - ‘Higher Than Heaven’
Tumblr media
The album’s title is not a drug reference but some have taken that way ha-ha. Ellie Goulding has created a pleasurable pop palette with quite catchy and over-produced, colorful tunes with Higher Than Heaven. Goulding's music on Higher Than Heaven deals with the usual themes of love, relationships, and self-discovery. The lyrics on Higher Than Heaven are introspective and personal, and her voice has a haunting quality that draws you in. The songs are uplifting and embody empowering messages, making her shine particularly well on this album. There is nothing groundbreaking about the album but it’s well-produced and fans of pop will certainly find it exciting. Listen to the full album below: For those of you that don’t know Ellie Goulding (you must be living under a rock)—she is an English singer, songwriter, and record producer who has achieved global recognition for her music. Goulding's unique voice and her ability to blend genres like pop, folk, and electronic music have made her a prominent figure in the industry. Goulding's debut album, "Lights," released in 2010, was a commercial success and earned her critical acclaim. The album features her signature sound, which combines her ethereal vocals with electronic beats and folk-inspired instrumentation. It spawned hit singles like "Starry Eyed" and "Lights," which topped charts in the UK and other countries. Since her debut, Goulding has released several successful albums, including "Halcyon" (2012), "Delirium" (2015), and "Brightest Blue" (2020). She has collaborated with some of the biggest names in the industry, such as Calvin Harris, Diplo, and Juice WRLD. Overall, Ellie Goulding is a talented artist who has made a significant impact on the music industry. Her unique sound, powerful vocals, and introspective lyrics have earned her a loyal fan base and cemented her place as one of the most influential pop stars of her generation. RATING: 6/10 Sounds: like over-produced pop Feels: like laying on a memory foam mattress while chewing on bubble gum Tastes: too sweet   Read the full article

Breadblok, 1529 Griffith Park Blvd, Los Angeles (Silver Lake), CA 90026
Tumblr media
Breadblok’s mission is to make the best gluten-free baked goods, using the finest ingredients. Everything they make is also organic, free of soy, gums and refined sugar. If you follow some type of special diet, this place is for you (vegan, gluten-free, Keto, egg-free, nut-free). It’s also gorgeous with the best service.
Plus, there’s a lot more than bread and pastries (whole loaves, croissants, donuts, muffins, tarts, cakes, scones). They also have a food menu (soup, toast, sandwiches, tartines, quiche, salads), coffee & espresso drinks, wine, and grab & go drinks, salads, overnight oats and yogurt parfaits. And they sell some merch like their shirts, organic coffee beans (roasted for them), housemade crackers, etc.
Order at the counter. They’ll give you a number and bring your food to you. They also checked on me a few times and brought water. So nice.
Vanilla brioche donut: FYI, one donut is $8.50. I tried a sample and it was nice, a little denser than your regular donut with a vanilla cream filling. Not crazy sweet. It’s gluten-free but not vegan.
Mushroom soup with toast (2 pieces), $10: Pretty good price! Probably a bargain when you consider the price of the pastries (e.g., $10 for a croissant, $22 for a loaf of bread). Very good soup too – a bowl of it (bigger than a cup): pureed mushrooms with cream and sliced mushrooms plus herb oil on top. Lots of mushrooms, not too salty. Really liked it and I didn’t know it came with toast.
Grilled cheese (your choice of bread, I chose buckwheat sourdough), $13: This was okay. I thought the cheddar might be vegan because it didn’t have much flavor but I was told they don’t use vegan cheese. Also, there wasn’t much cheese. The buckwheat bread (gluten-free) was fairly dense but had a natural sweetness and nuttiness that I like. I didn’t taste butter either. Needed more butter and cheese. The price is comparable to what you’d pay at Tartine or some artisanal bakery in LA.
Cappuccino (8 oz, $5): nice foam art, stronger, bitter, not bad but I’ve had much better. It’s not a coffeehouse though.
Love the look of the shop (clean, light woods, marble counter, Scandinavian inspired?), the covered outdoor patio with planters, wood tables, and natural colored fabric. There’s free wi-fi. It’s off the main street so it’s quiet and a bit hard to spot.
Breadblok currently has three locations. Even their paper takeout bag is stylish. They do a brisk takeout business. Sign up to earn rewards.
4 out of 5 stars
