Sustainability and Profitability: How Does AI Help Achieve Them?
Green energy consumption helps reduce carbon emissions, allowing businesses to mitigate climate risks. Therefore, companies need to set new goals to boost their renewable energy in the overall consumption mix gradually. Moreover, artificial intelligence (AI) can assist in devising automation strategies to address energy management concerns using flexible analytical models. This post will elaborate on how AI can promote sustainability and profitability.

There has got to be nothing more soul-sucking and devoid of humanity than being a "money minded" individual. If all you care about is profit, you immediately lose sight of morality.
Why is it considered immoral for a poor person to refuse to work themselves to the bone, but it's not immoral for the wealthy to squeeze desperate people of every penny they have in order to hoard incomprehensible amounts of money?
Why are the poorest people expected to never treat themselves to a nice meal or something they want, while the ultra rich eat gold and take 15 minute private jet flights guilt-free?
Why are there income caps on how much money a disabled person can save, but not how much money a billionaire can have?
Why is it okay to value a dollar more than a real life human being getting food, clean water, healthcare, and shelter?
How are poor people the selfish ones, when our planet is poisoned and destroyed by megacorps in the name of what's profitable?
Even the most basic expressions of human emotion and experiences are being gutted and replaced by hollow machinations because it's cheaper than paying a real artist, writer, developer, or creative to do the job.
We have enough resources for everyone on this earth to have a decent lifestyle, yet when we ask for the bare minimum we get a finger wagged in our face and told not to ask for too much.
It's maddening.

crazy thing about people using AI to "write" is do you not ever just use your imagination? i feel like we've been talking so much about the ethics of the situation, which is an important conversation, but we havent been nearly spending enough time roasting people for not knowing how to simply use their imagination. like oh you need a little robot to come up with a situation and blorbos for you? dumbass. use your fuckin head that's what it's for.

also, we gonna acknowledge how much streaming services are killing the viability of the music industry? Ashton saying he’s been part of billion stream songs and they pay next to nothing should be REALLY BAD NEWS that has us thinking of the artists who don’t manage to break through with anything like youngblood or she looks so perfect
some maths for you: a billion streams=roughly $3 million for the artist. divide it up between not only 4 people but the co-writers as well and then subtract all the expenses they needed to create it (an album costs around $20k to do cheaply, but for a big hit song you’ll want to spend a lot more on promo etc). I don’t actually know how much would be left, maybe a couple hundred grand each, but the chances of getting more than one of these out per decade are very slim unless you’re one of the top few artists
because BILLION STREAM SONGS ARE NOT THE NORM for most artists. 5sos have about 10-12 billion streams all up I think? multiply these numbers by 10. they get most of their money from touring, all artists do so if you want tours to be accessible for poorer folk we need to make sure our artists can earn a living from their recordings too

If Tony Stark was real in our reality
all the villains he " "created" " would be, like:
- oil tycoon pissed that Stark has made renewable energy free for the whole state of NY and has plans to expand the tech to other states, countries, the world
- CEO of a predatory student loan company enraged by Stark making college widely affordable through an endless supply of scholarships
- corrupt politician whose career is over after his dirty laundry gets aired - in a leak that can't be traced to Stark Industries.. but also can't not be traced to it
------
Tony: attempts to make the world a better place with the power he has
Literally all the people who benefit from the world being a bad place:  time to break out the tights and commit crimes???

As a fic writer, how do you stay positive and not stress yourself out with constantly comparing?
I've been really struggling with that. I start spiraling when a certain chapter doesn't get as many comments as usual, comparing my hit counts and kudo counts to other fics, and it's really not healthy but I'm struggling with knowing how to stop, how to just be happy and proud of the response I've gotten. Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated.
honestly? i know this might seem counterintuitive but my best advice in that situation is probably to stop posting for a while
like. for me the thing that helped most/still helps most when i find myself falling into the trap of comparison was taking a step back and reevaluating why i wanted to write and what i got out of writing in the first place. like, for me, the core reason i write is for the joy of creating something, and getting to share it with others is all just a bonus. but i haven't always felt that way, and it definitely took a lot of reflection and having to unlearn a lot of social messaging to get there.
i think we are all very much blasted with the message that the most important metric for how worthy art is = how big the audience looking at it is. and i think, because of the way capitalism conditions us to interact w art, it's really really easy to feel like your art is only meaningful if people are seeing it and telling you it's good. like, the focus turns to outside affirmation rather than an interior sense of worth.
but the act of creating art has merit in and of itself. art is worth something because the act of creation is beautiful and joyful, regardless of who sees or doesn't see the final product.
writing fanfiction has helped me find the joy in writing again by removing it from the sort of profit economy that conditions me to think art is only worth something if it can be sold. before i got into writing fic, i felt this sense that creative writing wasn't worth anything unless it was something that i could one day publish which really just stifled me, and it wasn't til i went "fuck it i'm just gonna write something for the fun of it with no plans to ever try and get other people to read it" that i started to really enjoy writing again. and i think that's why i tend to be really wary of anything that starts to treat fic like books or pull fanfic back into this pseudo-profit economy where worth is measured by online popularity/tiktok virality--bc for me, fanfiction is an escape from that sort of mentality.
now, i try to be really vigilant about when i'm starting to fall back into the habit of feeling like my writing is more or less valuable based on whether it gets more or less hits/kudos/comments etc. i think this winter i finally reached a point where writing fic was starting to feel too much like a job w the pressure i was putting on myself to write a certain amount of words or meet certain deadlines, so now i've just been writing without posting anything for like 2ish months and i've found it really helpful! it's good to remember that writing is fun and rewarding even if nobody is seeing it in the moment and there's not that constant feedback loop of affirmation.
and if getting that outside affirmation is a driving factor in why you're writing, and it's draining because it's driving you to constantly compare, then i think it's worth taking a step back and evaluating why you want to write and whether it's like....emotionally sustainable. there's nothing wrong with wanting affirmation and wanting people to see your work, but at least for me anytime i've prioritized outside affirmation it's weakened my own interior sense of worth and made me much more likely to burn out or abandon writing projects. it's difficult bc like i said we are all very much conditioned to prioritize outside affirmation when it comes to art, but for me reframing the way i think about what makes art worth creating in the first place has literally made my writing experience a million times better. so, the most concrete advice i have for giving yourself space to do that is just--stop posting for a bit. stop seeking an audience in any way shape or form. give yourself some time to write by yourself and for yourself, to figure out what about writing brings you joy when there is no outside affirmation and make that the centerpoint of your creative endeavors.
i think there might also be a skin on ao3 that hides kudos and hits and comment numbers, so it might be a good idea to look into that if you're really struggling to stop comparing! also, i highly recommend cj the x's video essays the kronk effect and 7 deadly art sins, as well as jamie berrout's essays against publishing if ur looking to challenge/reframe/expand/adjust the way you think about art + literature :•)

i always both hated and feared twitter, tbh, but seeing it implode has been both depressing and frightening, and i think essentially it’s because it’s really brought home to me, in a way that (admittedly foolishly!) nothing quite had before, that our very precious third spaces are being run by private corporations for profit, and the fundamental precarity of that…
like, i should do a better job converting more of you into people i have direct connections with! that’s definitely true! but there’s also something wonderful and valuable and irreplaceable (by discord or substack or whatever else) about what we have going here, where we can reach out in a general, untargeted way, just, like, wandering into the metaphorical agora, and expect some subset of people we know to be around and up for interacting. and the idea that fundamentally we could lose that, just as twitter people had it and are probably about to lose it, just because the winds of capitalism blow in the wrong direction a little too hard one time? not to sound a little too sincerely attached to our hellsite, may we forever lovingly critique it in ways that ultimately bring about its improvement, but. i am attached! to all of you! and the ease with which that attachment could fray and snap is frightening to me, as i think it should be to all of us. :/

Uninventing Market, Profit, and Capitalism: A Moral Imperative for a Sustainable Future
Bloganuary writing promptIf you could un-invent something, what would it be? View all responses Today’s prompt is in the realm of hypotheses, so I would answer appropriately. A world without markets, profit, and capitalism might seem like a distant utopian dream, but to me, it is one worth striving towards. Markets, profit, and capitalism are the driving forces behind our current economic…

its just....the way my brain is, if i dont see a point in something i do Not want 2 bother with it. but the issue is that working constantly has no ultimate point. im not working for a goal, im working to get food to allow this body's survival . whats the point in that. i want 2 create i want 2 have time 2 sit and draw stupid mspaint furries. i want 2 get home st 1am and not have 2 lament abt going 2 bed early cuz i need 2 get up early for the job i JUST finished . we all know how fucked up this is, and anyone who doesnt admit it is always clearly in denial . The empire is going to fall, & america has a reckoning, but its so depersonalizing 2 be a US citizin right now....

Food for the Hungry!
Tumblr media
Poverty in India have increased so much especially after covid-19. Many people lost their jobs, inflation in food grains, necessary items have increased very much. Problem of poverty- Despite of watching TV, news and other social platforms, we are not ready to help people especially children. Major people who are starving for food are from small countries who don't know how to decrease this issue.
Though there are many facts about this- 740 million people live in extreme poverty. Agriculture is the major source of income of rural people to survive. One in ten persons in developing world lives on less than $1.90 a day.
September 5- International Day of Charity We can donate children's old clothes, food items, other necessary things. We can donate on www.care.org. But fair-trade fruit once a week to help poor farmers. There are many poverty alleviation programs shoot out by government - Integrated rural development program Jawahar rozgar yogna And many more..
Let's take a step forward and reduce the chances of poverty in India. Share sites of reducing poverty to your friends and family and sort this issue.

Capitalism’s endless economic growth prioritizes the individual over community and creates extreme inequality. But it doesn’t have to be that way.

WE have DOMESTICATED ourselves to be CONSUMERS of product that’s unnecessary and unhealthy. we consume POISONS and why shy away from learning or teaching self sustainable modern living. YOU DONT HAVE TO HOMESTEAD…. you also dont HAVE to be a consumer that supports a government that extorts them for everything they got. you can be self sustaining, self sufficient, and living with modern luxury.

I can't help but notice that a lot of stores with limited plus sizes will have a dress be $124 and then as soon as the XXXL and XXL are out of stock it goes on sale for like $57 so the thins can buy it for what it should actually cost.
